"I've never had a bad dish or experience at Cadot. It's my "go to" spot for out of town guests or any special occasion. Not like I really need an excuse to dine here......sometimes a quiet solo meal at the bar is the perfect end to the day."

"The food was very fresh with the finest ingredients. The quality clearly showed and in taste! FANTASTIC!! The thing that bothered us was the service. It was lacking at best. Every coarse that came out there was incorrect dish and it always took a very long time. It took a 1hr 45 minutes for a 3 course preplanned menu meal. That is unacceptable. What made it worse was it was mothers day.
As time went on it looked to be our table as others seemed to be attended well. We then had a confrontation between our main waiter and a server in the main dining room - Again unacceptable at a quality establishment and well any place for that matter.
We do want to go back as the food was excellent and cant say service is always like this. Give it a try!"

"An underwhelming experience. The wine list fails to provide the year for any selection, an amateurish choice, particularly for a restaurant billing itself as featuring fine French fare. The escargot was fair, but the sauce had little flavor. The duck was not adequately crisped, with each piece crowned by and inedible thick layer of fat. The desserts, however, were very good, with a solid souffle effort and excent lava cake. The service was excellent. The shortcomings of the food quality, nevertheless, make this a restaurant worth avoiding, unless you go simply for dessert."

"Although our food was good and the service was great, I was slightly disappointed in our experience. Maybe I had high expectations given some other reviews and awards, but I was looking for a better all around package. It seemed to miss that mark. I felt it was more casual than fine dining, which is fine, except the prices suggest a fine dining experience. In other words, I felt like I was eating in a little restaurant out in southern France, but paying the check made me feel like I was supposed to be at a 4-star restaurant. Needless to say, I was slightly disappointed. Would I recommend it? Depends. Will I eat there again? Maybe, but probabaly not."

"Classically cooked French food at its best for Dallas. I havent seen so many organ meats on a menu in many years. I'm not a huge fan of them, but so many people are...this would be the place to go.
I had a beutifully arranged salad of spinach and endive with just the correct amount of dressing and wonderful balsamic drizzled on the endive. I moved on to Cassoulet; one of my favorite french foods. excellent.
My husband started out with a wonderful lobster bisque and then had veal scallopine with lemon and capers. He enjoyed it completely. We shared a smooth and creamy creme brulee.

"We love this place for dinner but tend to forget they do lunch during the week -- and what a shame it is to forget that because lunch is really fabulous here! The soups that are so perfectly executed at dinner time are even more comforting for a special lunch. And the sandwiches are delicious...I love the Croque Monsieur ... It's a knife and fork sandwich for sure, rich with the bechamel and yet the bread on the bottom is perfectly toasted, adding a crunchy counterpoint to the smooth creamy sauce. Sandwiches not what you're in the mood for? No worries, there's a selection of pastas and other entrees and a list of specials as well. My husband decided on the chicken crepes and was very happy. Don't forget to save room for dessert!"
