"This was our second time dining and we can't wait to go back again. From the table side prepared spinach salad to the flaming peach dessert everything was delicious. Our waiter, Clay, was very friendly and accommodating and his service was excellent and timely. We never felt rushed and were able to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. Both the steak and scallops were excellent main courses and just the right portion size. This is a great little steakhouse with great service and reasonable prices. Put this on your list of new restaurants to try and do it soon!"

"Restaurant was better than expected. Service was great, Blake, our waiter was efficient, ever handy, but not intrusive. Great Service, Salads were produced at the table, as was my wife's fish. The Grande Marnier Souffle was excellent. Highly recommend for a quiet, elegant dining treat."

Entrees were AWFUL. My ribeye was 50% grizzle. My wife's beef bourguignon was 75% fat. A huge disappointment.
I am sticking with Bones and Hal's next time."

"Food, service and ambiance were outstanding. The steaks (filet mignon and NY strip) are highly recommended and the lobster bisque and french onion soups is excellent. Recently went to Bone's and Chops and felt the food here was comparable ( at a lower price) than these top 5 Atlanta steakhouses.
In addition we were a party of six and were sit in a private dining room that can accommodate 12. This was a very pleasant surprise and highly recommended for a group celebration/dinner."

"I was looking for a place close to Duluth to have a special dinner and this place did not disappoint! The food was very good, but I was most impressed with the service, to be honest. It is refreshing to go to a place that knows how to wait on you for a nice dinner! We'll definitely be back!"

"We have been to Viande Rouge numerous times and it is always a great experience. Whenever we want to impress clients, or out of town guests, we bring them to Viande Rouge. The steaks are cooked to perfection, and the French Classics are terrific. Their Grilled Tuna is the best I have had anywhere and the Scallops are incredible. Our favorite server is Clay. Also, the Manager, Brian, is great at helping pair wines with your food if you need it."

"This restaurant is near our home and we always wanted to try it. The interior design was something out of a French boudoir, but very dark and red, hence the name. The food was great, but we had an early evening reservation and they were out of a decent amount of menu items, which was upsetting. The service was slow to begin but got better as the night progressed. This place is fairly pricey but not overwhelming -- we had steak dinners for 2 with an appetizer, bottle of wine and 2 desserts for $200 including tip. Not too shabby for a nice night out. We'll be back."

"Once again, we had an absolutely super meal. The table side spinach salad was awesome, the steaks were perfect (the server, Blake, recommended to my wife that she try to lighter crab meat topping which was so fresh and flavorful) and even the drink was awesome. They do a proprietary Old Fashioned that was better than any Ive ever had. We talked to the manager about it afterwards. Finally, the make or break with us is the service and it was superb. Our waiter was attentive, funny and absolutely made the meal.

"Our first and not last time at Viande Rouge!! We loved it, food, service, ambiance, and can't wait to go back and try more of the succulent, delicious and fantastic put together dishes. My husband had the steak tartare and it was prepared table-side! It was the best we ever had anywhere. I started with the gruyere and emmentale cheese fondue served in a mini fondue pot with lots of crusty baguette and apple slices. We followed with N.Y Strip, which was juicy with a wonderful crusty sear and cooked a perfect medium-rare. I had the Beef Bourguignon, recommended by our wonderful server, Devin, who described it as being cooked for six hours and it tasted every bit the way he described it. This beautiful dish was also served table side!"

"My wife and I were celebrating my birthday a week late due to our hectic schedules. She picked Viande Rouge. We arrived and were immediately impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the charm of the place. Nice linens and lots of wine glasses on the table.
We had 2 appetizer orders. Mussels and Escargots. Both were excellent.
My order was the whole Maine lobster, baked thermidor. Best I've ever had anywhere.
My wife had the Cote de Veau Grand–Mere Creamed leeks, mushrooms & bacon which she thoroughly enjoyed.

"We went for Valentine's Day and it was hit and miss. The foie gras special was quite small for what the cost. The server was not as informative as the other servers attending other tables. There was definitely a discrepancy in service. The food was okay. Dessert was a disappointment. The profiteroles were not as described in the menu and the chocolate sauce was distinctly tasting of Hershey's syrup which was disappointing. A definite letdown when this is touted to be a fine dining establishment. It was nice that it was close to my house, but in retrospect, would go into the city of Atlanta for a better meal and service for the price."

"For a table of 4, we met at the restaurant for friendly get-together with great friends. The restaurant is beautiful and the service is wonderful. There was a great deal of personal attention with table-side mixing and serving of salads and other meals that deserved a presentation. My only complaint is that the side items are huge and the seafood entrees are small. Other than that, it was a night to remember for a long time. I would definitely visit again as there were many items on the menu I would like to try. Thank you."

"Not what we expected. This was a special evening, and we were hoping for a 5 star experience. We were in the Atlanta area for a romantic getaway and the reviews made this seem like one of Atlanta's premiere dining spots.
First disappointment was finding the restaurant in a strip mall. The interior was fairly nicely decorated but very small with the tables lined up like dominoes. We started with the wellington appetizer that was only adequate. Her rib eye was good, but was ordered meduim rare and arrived very rare and had to be sent back. On the advice of our waiter I ordered the whole sole which was finished tableside. it looked like is was just baked and was not freshly prepared. Service was not great. Won't be going back."

"I recently ate at Viande Rouge to celebrate Valentine's Day. Even though we were late night diners, the staff still treated us wonderfully and let us take our time. The service was excellent, from the hostess to the wait staff to the server assistants. Even the bartender, Alberto, took the time to stop by and say hello.
The real stand out at Viande Rouge was the food. It was delicious. The oysters rockefeller were amazing, as were all of the side items. You can tell they put a lot of thought and time into preparing every course.
Thanks for a lovely evening, although this was our first visit it will certainly not be our last. We look forward to dining with you again soon!"

"This was my third time----always a great experience. The decor is somewhat bold but yet intimate.
It is classy and subdued too. The Staff is not "stuffy"---pleasant and helpful.
The menu is awesome-----the Mussels and Pome Frietes are wonderful.
We were a party of 4; with each of us ordering a different item----we were all completely satisfied.
Considering that the food is superior quality the price is NOT over the top.
The wines are various prices; therefore, can increase your bill with what you pick.
We brought our own bottle of wine which is pleasantly accepted and some also had an extra drink.
We were not rushed and enjoyed each course entirely.
The ending was the highlight with a Soufflé and Creme Brûlée."
