Bacchanalia is Atlanta’s most celebrated restaurant featuring contemporary American cuisine from chefs/owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison. Expect incredibly fresh and flavorful choices with masterful preparation and presentation. Bacchanalia’s seasonal menu relies entirely on organic ingredients, many sourced from Anne and Clifford’s farm, so that diners can have an utterly unique dining experience each time they return. Bacchanalia offers a five-course prix fixe menu composed of a cold appetizer course, fish course, entrée course, cheese course and dessert course for $85 per person. The menu can also be ordered a la carte at the bar.

"My wife and I celebrated a big anniversary at Bacchanalia after hearing great things word of mouth. It is absolutely the best (and highest priced) meal we have ever eaten. But I would not call it expensive considering the expert cuisine and service. This was the first time we could say, "I could not make this at home - even with the recipe." The meal was artistic. Save your pennies and go!"

"We celebrated our 40th anniversary at Bacchanalia and had a wonderful dining experience. Look at the pictures that some people have posted and this will show you what the dishes will look like. We enjoyed the food gifts from the chef, very tasty. Our total experience was great and our waiter was outstanding!"

"We were very dissapointed in our evening with your restaurant. We didn't have wine with the food or either we had food and no wine. It's kinda hard to enjoy a tasting menu with wine when you don't have them at the same time cause the kitchen or bar were backed up everytime. We also really disliked the corner table with the round table top, felt like we were sitting with the table next to us."

"The food was outstanding. The service was not quite up to standards up an elite restaurant. I believe they forgot to bring us our 4th course and after waiting for awhile, we finally asked (and it was brought out almost immediately).
If the service were improved to a level similar to the quality of the food and the price, this place would be unbeatable."

"Yes, the food is beyond compare, but I was most impressed by the level of service and attention to detail. I told one person about some dietary restrictions I have, but everyone who served us seemed to be aware of them. And the thing I loved most about the service was that it was quiet-- they weren't interrupting our dinner every five minutes to ask if we needed something, they just served us well and efficiently. Aaaaand the food was absolute perfection."

"There is a reason why Bacchanalia is rated the best restaurant in Atlanta. Food and service was top notch. Favorite of the night was the cheese cart that was rolled out. I got to pick out of over 16 cheeses and they were excellent. Recommend Bacchanalia to anyone!"

"In order to have a full view of the kitchen, we opted to sit at the bar. Everything was Perfect. Bartender Christian was very well versed in both the food and wine offerings. Service was PERFECT, coordinating the arrival of each course with our glasses of wine by the glass. We were treated to several tasty treats during our stay, compliments of the chef.
The food was over -the- top delicious and beautifully presented. Wine list had excellent choices.

"My wife and I had dinner--we sat at the bar and ordered a la carte rather than doing the whole 5 course deal. We ordered mostly first and second courses throughout the evening. With wine and tip our bill was $300 as we had several of the more expensive first courses and we weren't trying to save money--just didn't want to do the rather boring (to us) five course deal--especially as we don't enjoy the over the top desserts you usually end up with.
The wines suggested for the courses we had were mid range good. The food courses were more for decoration than eating--not to say they were very good but something seemed to be missing. Maybe we should have done the full deal to give a proper review."

"My husband and I went to Bacchanalia to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was our first time at the restaurant, and we had a very good dining experience. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and provided us with some of the best service I’ve ever had. The food was delicious and the menu allowed us to be a bit more adventurous than we normally are. The portions are small, but with five courses we left full and very satisfied. My favorite dish was the Wood Grilled Prime NY Strip. Absolutely wonderful! The restaurant has great ambiance and is nice and quiet which is a big plus for me."

"The food at Bacchanalia was excellent. Every course. Service was efficient, timely and positive, but we found the tone to be a little too stiff/formal. We understand that it comes with the territory for fine dining, but a little personality and charm from the wait staff would've made our night more memorable. Also, we found the space itself classy and calming but not exciting or all that elegant/interesting. Many other establishments in Atlanta have memorable/sophisticated decor that matches their food quality, high prices and hype. Bacchanalia disappointed us in this respect. Also, I had indicated when making my reservation that I was celebrating a birthday. Perhaps that note never made it to the restaurant because nothing was said/done."

"We found the restaurant to be over rated and were not impressed with the food. Although the service was good, the 5 course fixed price menu is not very good and the meals we had lacked flavor. It was as if the chefs forgot to use spices resulting in a bland meal. I had the cavatelli which were tasteless and immersed in some many sprigs of parsley that all I tasted was parsley. My husband had the pork which was good but not great. For all the money we spent I can get a better meal at La Grotto and Canoe. We will not be returning, why this restaurant is rated # 1 is beyond us."

"The store in front of the restaurant threw us off but once we walked to the back of the store and found the restaurant we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was great and the menu was very well done. The five course menu had lots to choose from and everything I ordered was delicious. The only thing my husband didn't like was the oysters, which he said tasted fishy. But everything else was very well done!"

She made a strong effort to ensure that our experience was consistant througout the evening in spite of the fact that all sections in the restaurant were full. The food is great as always. We have been coming to Bacchanalia for over 8 years! The price of the service and meal are well worth it. They make you feel like a patron instead of a paying customer. Many restaurants have great food, service, and the prices to go along with it. What makes Bacchanalia unique is that they deliver each quadrant consistently year after year."

"First let me say that the food was out of this world good. A five course tasting menu was really more like 10 course with the chef's 'gifts' and amuse-bouche. I started with foie gras, but to be honest my wife's Local Mangalitsa Pork was even better! My wife commented the second course Gulf Crab Fritter was the best crab dish she's ever had. I agree. My NY Prime Strip was perfectly executed. The Winnimere cheese was a great fourth course. I was very happy with my lime souffle. The let down was the pace of the service. We've never had a tasting menu where we wondered what was taking so long for the next course. This was not an issue for tables around us. It was just at that point where we got annoyed that the next course arrived."

"Not impressed with overall experience. I expected the facilities and ambience to be more refined; while the food was delicately prepared, I was not impressed with the texture and flavor of the NY Strip, but the Crab Fritter was fantastic. The service was good, but the staff uniforms just did not fit. I absolutely did not feel that the experience and cost were aligned - Not a good ROI. Such a let down!"

"We were offered the price fix option but decided to order a la carte. It was the right choice for us because we don't need 5 courses. We liked our salads, but the oyster appetizer wasn't our taste. The lamb entree was ok, but not something I'd order again. The sirloin was very good according to my husband.
This restaurant is about the experience, the service, elegance and presentation in my opinion. We enjoyed the experience.
Also, for special occasions they go out of their way to make it memorable."

"Absolutely delisious. Every course was superior. The courses are on the small side so that after 5 courses you leave feeling full, but not stuffed. The flavors are perfectly balanced, wihtout being predictable. Great for an anniversary or birthday celebration. We went on a weeknight and the restaurant was very quiet. The chef's tastings between courses were very nice. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta and it won't disappoint."
