Villetta is located in a charming historic building on the border of Santa Monica and Brentwood. Wrought iron gates open into a courtyard where the villettas within are being lovingly restored with careful attention paid to the original detailing. Built and occupied by renowned architect John Byers, this landmarked gem has previously been the home to two successful restaurants.

"Food was very ordinary with service OK. The decor is grey and black modern. It's hideously expensive and pompous. The beautiful south wall that used to be greenery with tiny lights at night is a big plastic curtain. We won't go back."

"While the place has always been special with the nicest garden dining on the west side, a gracious staff and party atmosphere, the kitchen wasn't always as good as it could be. That has changed dramatically and the food being served to happy diners is now at or above the level of the Villetta experience.A new team direct from some of the best restaurants in Italy has fine tuned old favorites and added specials that actually are special. A new lunch menu may be the best kept secret in town."

"Unbelievable experience from the food to the service and the incredible atmosphere they have created. The owner whose dream has come true with the creation of this restaurant made us feel at home from the moment we walked in the door. Everything we had was so fresh and delicious. All of the produce tased as if it was just picked from a hidden garden in the back of the restaurant. We had a margherita pizza, the salad with arugula, artichokes and pine nuts, the salmon, the branzino, and butternut squash ravioli. All were off the charts."

"used to go here all the time when it was chez mimi's. . it's been redone and updated but the general ambiance remains charming and unlike other restaurants since it is a historical set of buildings. . the food was great - light for lunch and presented very nicely. the only negative was that only one other table was filled. since it is one of the few restaurants open for lunch on saturday, I highly recommend it."

"What a great restaurant! We had an impeccable meal with great service. Could not have been better. We came with another couple early on Saturday night and stayed for over 2 hours, without the slightest sense of rush from the staff....even though though it was clearly a busy night. We will definitely return."
