Trois Cent Onze
311 Trois Cent Onze, is an elegant French restaurant located in the heart of Old San Juan, housed in a landmark building at 311 Fortaleza Street, of the area also known as SOFO (South of Fortaleza).
311 is Open for Lunch on Friday from 12pm until 2.30pm, and for Dinner Monday through Saturday, from 6pm until 10.30pm.. Sundays, 311 Trois Cent Onze is open all day long from 12 PM until 10 PM without interruption.
311"s Kitchen is under the renown Chef Juan Peña, formerly from the Ritz Carlton, and winner of many local and international awards.
Chef Peña's cuisine is refined, delicate yet full of flavors of what France's culinary art has best to offer.
The Dining Room, under the administration of the dynamic duo of owners, Sylma Pérez and Christophe Gourdain, host approximately 65 people for a sit down dinner. Sitting at the bar or in the dining room, you will experience the gentle and unobtrusive service of 311's professional staff.

"As always food was excellent! We started with cocktails, appetizers, all of them very good.

"Wow! Some of the best French food ever including France. Only thing I didn't enjoy was my scallop appetizers. They didn't get a good sear but the pumpkin underneath was great. My lobster was beautiful and my husband loved the ravioli. We were 2 couples and 3 boys ages 11-15. I was lad we were dressed up a bit as others weren't."

"Dinner at Trois Cent Onze was an unforgettable experience. The service was friendly and beyond reproach, and the food was delicious. I had the salad and the lobster. Portions are just right, so at the end of the meal you feel pleasantly full without discomfort. The lobster was probably the most delicious I had in my life. The wine paired very well with the meal. The price was appropriate for the service. If you ever end up in San Juan again, we will definitely be back!"

"The food was excellent. I had the shrimp wrapped in bacon special for appetizer. For main course, the roasted chicken with goat cheese was very tender and the tanginess just right. The waiter was very knowledge and suggested the pumpkin salpicon as side dish, it was divine. He did warn me that the chicken takes 10-15min wait. However, after I was done, the waiter took forever to get back and give me my check."

"Excellent french restaurant. Had a romantic quiet dinner with wife and I ni. Restaurant was quiet as we were early - at 7pm only 2 tables were seated in the whole restaurant. Other tables started filling up around 8pm onwards.
We had the onion soup and escargots to start with - prepared simply and classically without any pretentiousness. We like our food simple and elegant, and were highly satisfied with their preparation.
For our mains, we had the sea bass and beef, which were done perfectly. The sea bass was pan-seared with a very tasty chicken sausage and truffle sauce, while the beef was tender and done just right. Paired with a glass of Cotes-du-Rhone which went perfectly with the meat.
Service was attentive and discreet."

"This is a charming French bistro in Old San Juan. Our meals were excellent and prices were quite reasonable. My husband ordered a filet mignon which was not only a generous portion but also cooked to perfection (as ordered). The mushroom soup and sea bass entree which I ordered was also quite delicious. We ended our meal with just about the best tarte tartin we've ever had. The wine list was varied with a good number of wines in the $40 range. Service was friendly and professional."

"From the description we expected a French restaurant....music was old Edith Piaf, certainly French, but could be a little newer....we ordered Escargot and a Boucheron as an appetizer - the Escargot were ok, the cheese turned out to be just fresh goat cheese...upon asking we were told that the Boucheron was mixed in and therefor invisible...pretty insulting actually.
Main course: Grouper and Seabass. Seabass was good - maybe 7 out of 10 - Grouper 5 ut of 10 in taste, consistency and presentation.
Ambience was nice, wine ok. All overall a disappointment and not recommended."

"Trois Cent Onze was a favorite on our last vacataion to San Juan, and we HAD to return. The owner-chef greeted us warmly, even though we were a bit early. She visited our table a couple of times during our meal, making sure everything was PERFECT for us. The entire staff was professional and very personable. Our meals were absolutely FAB-U-LOUS. The sauce on the Grouper was over-the-top - - WONDERFUL! We will be certain to return to Trois Cent Onze."
