"Our waiter was very attentive which was appreciated, but he asked if everything was okay several times. Then the manager came by to find out the same thing. It was overkill and very disruptive to over conversation, not to mention our meal.
After the meal our waiter commented about how much we ate, so he surmised we must have enjoyed our food. This is the height of rudeness and should never be expressed by any restaurant employee. Waiters are there to serve, not give opinions about how much or little has been eaten.
The check was placed on the table right after we received our dessert. That should never happen. What if we wanted an after dinner drink? What's your hurry here's your hat!"

"My family of four expect a great meal every time we eat out. The problem is we don't always get that unless if course we goto Ruth's Chris Steak House! We find the closest one wherever we vacation too! Never disappoints. Pittsburgh, Orlando, San Antonio, Atlantic City. You know what you're getting. Expect great food and service!"

"Caught them on a night when they were close, but not quite there. The atmosphere, the service, the overall were just a shade off.
But the food was good, as always. My NY Strip was excellent, and possibly a touch larger than I've had there before. The baked potato could have been served hotter. The peas au gratin were superb. Wines by the glass offered a nice selection, but wildly overpriced. All in all, a nice four stars for the visit. I can live with that."

For what you pay I thought the food was just ok. ribeye was tender and juicy but I've had better. if you're like me and prefer your steak to have some type of seasoning then you may be disappointed. glad I can say I tried it, but I probably won't go again. I can get a pretty good steak elsewhere for much less than $42."

"Overrated restaurant -- too pricey; the interior and ambience do not live up to the expenditure. Food and service definitely not worth the cost.
Worst mixed drink I ever had -- could not even taste the alcohol; couldn't swear any was even put in the drink...
They were aware this was for a special occasion -- only lip service to this at the time of seating and a very small creme brulee at the end.
Going to be hard pressed to go back."

"We must have been the last reservation (7PM) on a slow Sunday night as the wait staff was hovering over us and we felt a little rushed. The meals were prepared perfectly, as my wife and I had our steaks "Pittsburgh Rare". Our daughter and her boyfriend raved about their ribeye's and the sides and appetizers were great. Other than being rushed it was a good dinner."

"We dined at Ruth's Chris last weekend and our opinions of our food were mixed. One ordered a rib eye steak, and it looked more like a strip steak, but said the taste was delicious. The server said it was the rib eye. Another ordered the petit filet and said it was tender and delicious. Two of us ordered fish. The salmon, with the garlic glaze, was melt-in-your-mouth delicious and the portion was quite generous. The sea bass, at $35.00, was thin and just average. I was expecting a thick, flakey, tasty fish portion. I did not see other portions of the sea bass served to compare my dinner but that was a disappointment."

"Service could have been better. Other than the doorman, the staff was fairly lackadaisical. For an upscale steakhouse, I expected much better. I have been to other Ruth's Chris restaurants and had better quality service and food. I would be more inclined to go to Meat and Potatoes or Capital Grille next time."

"Celebrating my daughter's 37th birthday we chose to dine at Ruths Chris for lunch. It was a very nice lunch with good food, service and conversation. At the end of the meal, the server asked if we would like desert but we were comfortable with our lunch and decided we would not overindulge. Knowing it was Brandi's birthday the server came with a plate that spelled happy birthday in chocolate, and fresh strawberries with powdered sugar along with creme brulee and a candle. It was such a nice touch to finish up a special lunch for her. The server was very attentive and was really exceptional."

"We were disappointed with RC Pittsburgh on this visit. Last time I was here it was a 9.0 out of 10. This time the food was mediocre and they seemed to have lost their sizzle. Jackie the hostess was great but it went downhill from there."

"A much better value for lunch than for dinner. I was prepared for an expensive meal, but this was even more than I expected. That said, the food was very good and the service was outstanding.
