La Collina Restaurant
La Collina has delighted diners with world-class cuisine, service, and ambiance for more than 25 remarkable years. Classically-trained staff serve a selection of the finest old-world recipes in an atmosphere of casual elegance, while attending to every detail.
Located just off the Schuylkill Expressway in Belmont Hills, La Collina boasts spectacular hilltop views. The bar offers a unique atmosphere with live entertainment and dancing on weekends. This gem is known as one of the most romantic restaurants on the Main Line.
La Collina specializes in fresh seafood and veal dishes. Its signature dish, Dover Sole, is a delicate, tasty fish that is uniquely grilled, and served tableside. In addition to our Dover Sole, our daily fresh-fish specials include Branzino, Norwegian Salmon, Pompano, Orata, soft-shell crabs, Langostina, and other delights from the sea, depending upon availability. We are also known for our veal sirloin, veal porterhouse, ossobuco, and chops.

"Was a regular stop for me when I worked close by on the other side of the river. Whether with a vendor or on a private occasion with family - the restaurant boasts the proper levels of sophistication and flare. Professional wait staff that have worked diligently for 26 years only add to the restaurants charm. On this night, we had some old school Aracini (fried rice/cheese) balls with fresh marinara as an appetizer and then enjoyed and expertly filleted Branzino and the Dover sole. Our waiter, Angelo - estimated that he had filleted about 10,000 fish during his tenure with this great classic Italian restaurant. An unhurried experience not to be missed."

"The food was subpar. We have been long time customers, but we will have to think long and hard before we return. The fried calamari was undercooked and bland. The steak was overcooked. The vegetables tasted like mush."

"Our waiter was sweating profusely and we didn't want him touching our plates or handling our food. Complained to management & they got us a new waiter but service was awful. He did not seem to want to help. We felt rushed by him. Management should have come by to offer assistance.

"This is a wonderful restaurant in which to enjoy a very good meal while watching the clogged expressway below. Be sure to ask the price of the specials because they tend to be more expensive than the menu items. The pastas are excellent as is the fresh fish. All-in-all La Collina is special and very enjoyable."

"The service was excellent and friendly. However, both the Orechiette pasta and the veal sirloin were very salty. The pasta was not eatable. The Caesar salad was below average, with the dressing seeming to come from a jar. Good deserts and view of the river (and expressway). Sorry to say, we have checked this one off our list of places to revisit."

"The food tasted great. The list of specials was almost too long to remember. The maitre d' offered to take our coats but there is no coat room. The coats were simply placed on the railing of some stairs and then at some point placed in the wine cellar. We requested the Venetian room through OpenTable, but we were not and my request wasn't even mentioned."
