"I've eaten at Q'ero about 20 times, never had a bad experience. Not super cheap would be the knock, but that's not a bad thing to me. Personally, I think it's crazy that two people would spend $60-80 @ Islands when they could do Q'ero for $100-110 (me & the lady usually are $150 but we go to town on the Pisco Sours). I've had just about everything on the menu; you are taken care of no matter what you're in the mood for: lamb, pork, fish, vegetarian, beef, salad. Ceviche appetizer is a must, though I'd say the empanadas are a must as well. Other tip: call for a reservation 4-5 days in advance, not many tables. But once you make your reservation you can have something great to look forward to."

"The food here is an amazing treat for your tastebuds. Go with people that like to share food, as there are many dishes and appetizers you will want to experience. The service is impeccable. All the people working there make you feel welcome and part of their family. I have had dinner and lunch there, and both are a wonderful. Their sangria is the best anywhere!"

"My daughter and I dined at Q'Ero as a gift from my granddaughter. Neither of us had ever been there before; we went armed with an emailed gift certificate and good appetites.
Wow were we ever pleased! The food was delicious and enough to satisfy without satiation. Dessert, after that solid meal was not required. The food was wonderfully prepared: vegetables fresh, meat tender, sauces delectable and everything prepared to aturn and presented very attractively.

"Excellent selection of flavorful South American dishes. Very small and somewhat loud when full, which is almost always at dinner hour. A few tables outside, where wine can't be served because they're basically on the sidewalk. Expensive, but worth it in my opinion for its unique menu."

"This new restaurant was a great find, and a good addition to the area. We only tried a couple things on the menu, and I plan to go back for some of the tapas (that's not what they are called on the menu, but de facto what they are). Since we typically dine quite early, we had no more than an ordinary wait for our food. But the restaurant - which is quite small - filled up around 6-6:30, and I wondered how the small kitchen would manage with so many orders at once.
Re service: hard to get our waitress's attention so I could order wine once she had taken our food orders."

"The beet salad was average. The scallop appetizer was excellent, but it was very expensive considering there were only two scallops on the plate! My guest and I had the evening special which was a hangar steak, and it was delicious. The tres leches dessert was fairly good. The special of the evening was by far the best of the dishes ordered."

"The food was excellent. The calamari appetizer is not to be missed. For entrees, we had the pork shank and the special halibut. Based on a previous review I was concerned that the halibut might be too dry, so I mentioned this to the server and she made sure that that would not be the case. The desserts were a bit too sweet for me, but I am not a big fan of desserts anyway. Unfortunately, they do not serve espresso. Needless to say, you have to make a reservation a few days in advance."

"We had two people serving us- the guy was kind of rude (he placed a votive candle on our table reaching from my husband's ear without saying excuse me or anything), but the lady was very nice and respectful. Food, as always, was great (we got the lomas saltado and the rack of lamb special, and the calamari to start with), and so was the sangria. I would definitely go back, since I love their food- I would just try to avoid the bad server!"

"I've been wanting to try this place for some time. In a drive by earlier, we were a little concerned about how cramped it appeared, but the reality was much better. The service was quick, the place full but not overly loud. The menu was interesting and the food very good. "Make a reservation before visiting this restaurant if you want to seat inside. My husband and I came in for the first dinner seating time on Saturday. Our food took some time to arrive but it was very well worth the wait. The food is simply delicious and you won't find the variety of unique dishes anywhere else. You won't go wrong trying one of the specials and if you want a special beverage try the sours. I would recommend the Maracuya sour."

"We've been wanting to go here for a while. Definitely worth the wait. Food was excellent. Service was very good and the price was more than fair for very good food. They fed you too, plate potions were perfectly adequate. Try the beet salad, different and delicious. That pretty much sums up all the food. "Different and delicious." We'll be back. Great job. Thank you."

"We have dined at Q'ero twice now and both times the experience has been fun. The restaurant is smallish in floor size and this causes the tables to placed close to one another. This has never been an issue in enjoying our meals and, rather than cause for feeling squeezed, it promotes an intimate atmosphere.
The food and service has been top-notch both times. We were only a little disappointed that the dishes we had chosen the first time were not on the menu the second visit. I believe those had been specials so that would explain why. Never the less the foods we decided upon were just as enjoyable. This restaurant is a fine choice but be sure to make a reservation as it can fill up rather quickly. That's how good it is."

"Excellent, unique food, terrific ambience in general. Small, artsy,warm. I only scored it a 3 here as our table was right next to the entry door, a bit dissapointing since I had made the reservation three weeks in advance. Will definitely go back and strongly recommend, just make sure you put in a table request."

"I made the reservation for a special occasion and the restaurant absolutely catered to my needs. They reserved a corner table that I asked for, which waited for us with our name written. A nice touch! The server was very attentive, knowledgable about the menu and made us feel special. Amazing food! Great atmosphere!"

"Special night out with my wife, and everything was perfect. Table for two was waiting when we arrived, and as usual, every other table filled. The food here is always fresh, unique, perfectly prepared and presented, and delicious. Also fun this night, tried one of their new drinks, a traditional sour, which is a bit like a margarita, except infinitely better in that this one is made with wholesome ingredients instead of mixers, and has a beautiful and tasty swirl on top - delicious."
