"My wife and enjoyed a wonderful evening at Vines. We enjoyed the crab cake to start. It was fantastic and a generous portion. My wife loved the filet and I had an 18oz Wagyu ribeye that was unbeatable. This was hands down the best steak I've ever had the luxury of eating. The server helped us select a wonderful bottle of wine as their wine list is quite extensive. The carmel popcorn cheese cake may have been the best cheesecake I've had as well, although I'm not as sure about that as the steak. I finished everything off with a smooth scotch, which the server also help me select. They had a fine selection of scotches. This may have been the most expensive meal I've treated myself to, but I hope I will again find such a bargain."

"James and Eddie were just terrific! James suggested a nice bottle to my husband and it turned out to be a perfect match with our dinner. Their attention to detail and understand of the menu was well worth the evening. This is our second visit to the new Vines and we will be back."

"In Orlando and took some customers last night to this restuarant - great choice!! Excellent service, steaks, wine selection, and close everthing. If looking for a great meal with a customer or special person this is the place to go - not a "chain" steakhouse. The bar area was nice too with a jazz ensemble playing - mature crowd at the bar 45+."

"I've dined at the Vines before but never like this. Took an important client and got there early. Was not rushed, and enjoyed appetizers and beverages in the bar. We got an awesome table. The food et al was fabulous and my client still talks about it. But what really got me was that I'd been there before and had the best bottle of Pinot Noir ever. Had the server not had this info in the system, I would have spaced it. Yep, it's expensive, but it was the best night in a long time that combined great food, ambience, expert service."

"Was extremely disappointed at the length of time it took for our drinks and food. Took over an hour plus for our good, long time for bread and drinks. When you are paying so much for a meal I would expect superior service and food. Waiting so long for the food overshadowed the taste of the food."

"Vines is nice wine bar and the food was great. They're know for steaks, so I could' nt resist in trying one. I had the 8oz filet (medium) and it was perpared perfectly. The atmosphere was upbeat they had a live band playing top forty, something I did' nt expect. I thought this was a jazz bar? But after inquiry with Jay "the waiter", I was told this is something new they're tryning for this time of the year. Overall the experience is one I would recommend for a couples or groups of grown folks! But like all parents if you can't lose the kids o' well. Definitely ask for Jay if you can he's really cool."

"We are an 8 person monthly dinner grouip who has eaten in over 1000 restauraunts in Central Florida over the past 13 years - this did not meet our expectations. The combination of high prices for average quality food, plus some slow service, in a noisy room, (couldn't hold a conversation),detracted from our experience. They are either an upscale,(read expensive/sophisticated), restauraunt, or a loud bar with a band,(excellent by the way), for youngish people, but you can't be both.
Wine was excellent, and we appreciated that the Manager let us order appetizers from the bar menu instead of the regular menu - almost all fish items. Website was easy to use for reservations."

"We read the reviews - which generally said the food was very overpriced; however, we decided to give it a try thinking that the music would more than make up for it (besides, it wasn't apparent that on top of high prices all sides we a la carte). We had asked for a booth but were seated in the back (we could hear but not see the musicians); we asked to move closer, but the hostess never returned, and a booth remained vacant the entire time we dined (1.5 hours). Service was actually very good. Bred was excellent. Entrees...way too $$ $42 for veal chop WITH NO SIDES! Sides $8-10 each. $44 for overly buttered sea bass with a wee bit of risotto?"

"Went on a Friday night at 9:00. This is a wine bar and restaurant. Candles on the tables. White linen tablecloths. What did we find? Over half the tables had young children. What were they doing? Lighting up the entire restaurant and our table with multiple smartphones, Ipads, etc. Not a nice romantic experience. Time and a place for Children. 9:00 on a Friday in a wine bar is not it. Even of so, kill the electronics. Owners should not have allowed this. We will not return."

"The decor is great; love the "fire wall". Food was delicious and uniquely prepared. The only downside is that the music from the bar is so loud that it is very difficult to have a conversation at your table - even from the middle of the dining room. "This was quite an unexpected surprise. It is located in a strip mall setting so our expectations were not too high. When we walked in we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. We experienced a mostly informed waitstaff and guided through our meal. While dining we could enjoy the live jazz band playing in the lounge area. This was an added bonus.
After dinner we decided to stay and move into the lounge to enjoy the music more intensely. We ended up chatting with some of the band and locals.
We would definitely recommend this establishment and go back again when we are in the area!"

"Went with a group of co-workers. Food was excellent - the lamb chops were amazing! Go knowing that it's easily $50+ per person. Service was great with the exception of when our waiter disappeared. He was great when he was there. He never came after our food was served to see if everything was prepared correctly. He came after our table was cleared. The live music was great. The musicians were friendly - stopped at our table and asked if we wanted to hear anything specific. The waiter described one of the steaks as melt in your mouth like a marshmallow ... not a good selling comparison. We all agreed that we would go back."

"I have travelled extensively throught the world and have been lucky to experience the top tables of many international destinations. Vines was fantastic, everything about it was a great feast. The food was fantastic, the wine list ample and varied. Our main waiter Alex was very pleasant and knows customer service. I live in Orlando and it is a restaurant which I will begin to frequent more, especially with out out of town guests who think everything is LA or NY. Thank you Vines Grille and Wine Bar."

"When you say it is all about the service, it is all about the service. I am willing to overlook high prices (WAY TOO high in my opinion) for great food and great service. Our server was overbearing and frankly insulting. I felt like I was being attacked by someone in the Bronx (nothing wrong with the Bronx!) Titles like, "Hey, boss" and phrases used like "Just doing my check in" (five plus times) and then insulting my vegetarian wife with comments about goose liver...not cool. Adapt to your customers. It was the service that frankly left a bad taste in our mouths for the entire evening. Don't waste your time at this tourist spot. Not worth it. Ask locals where they go, much better choices out there."
