"we went there for mother's day lunch and the food and ambiance was very good. We had grilled fish, vegetables, and desert. They forgot the accompaniments to the fish (sauces, relishes, etc, but we're good on every other aspect of service) the quality of food was high, and service was generally very good."

"Our second time (the first was for a late lunch/early dinner on a summer weekend) and this time it was a late dinner on a Friday night with friends. The ambiance is great, live music, sea breeze etc. We've had the fish and the meat (steaks etc) and the food is always pretty good, the service can definitely be better - faster, more attentive, generally nicer - but its still a fun place to visit."

"We had a group of 6 on a Saturday night to celebrate Mother's Day early. They did not accommodate my request for a table with a view but I had to change the reservation time a couple hours before, so I can't blame them for that. I didn't know there was going to be live music, the first table they sat us at was too noisy but they quickly changed us to a table further away from the band. The singer was bad but other than that the food and service was good. Many cocktail, wine, and beer choices. Nice location."

"I brought with me a couple from Rancho Cucamonga. Both are pretty picky about food. We started with the artichoke and it only got better from there. We ordered crab cakes; jumbo shrimp cocktails; clam chowder; gumbo; and two orders of crab legs. My female friend, in particular, raved about the food and wants to come back the next time they come down. RockNFish is a great place to eat, be seen, and eat some more. Oh, and of course, we had to order a huge desert and lots of liquid libations."

"Had dinner with 8 other guests for a birthday dinner. They were very accommodating, considering we had a guest that is vegan and a guest that is gluten-free. Good service, food was good too. Was pretty busy at the bar and dining room. Took a while for them to cut the cake that we brought though- half the table had cake, other half didn't for about 5 minutes."

"My wife and I live within about 300 feet (about a block) from your restaurant; I've lived here since 1985 and my wife since 2000. We know restaurants around Laguna and we found your restaurant to be a very good find. We had not been to Rock'n Fish since it opened, though we had been to the restaurant that was previously there. Your restaurant has great food, as we were very pleasantly surprised. It was our anniversary and it was not noisy. Our server, Sara, could not have been better; in fact, she above and beyond "the call of duty": taking photos of us at our request; taking us into the adjoining, more scenic room. She is certainly a HUGE asset to your restaurant who made our dining experience even more delightful."

"This was our second trip to Rock'n Fish because the first time for lunch was good it was worth going back for dinner. The Prime Rib special is excellent! One of the best prime ribs for a non-steakhouse restaurant. The Rock'n Fish's clam chowder is another highlight of the menu. Not everything we ordered was exceptional or incredible, but nothing was bad just average. I'm looking forward to trying the Gumbo and Jambalya.
The best item on the menu, hands down, save room for it, heck order one to take home, is the Bread Pudding!! Absolutely divine."

"We were there for Valentine's Day so I will cut them some slack.The decor is nice and warm.Our table was close to the kitchen and we could here alot of loud talking from there. Our table was small and the dishes were way too big.So it was unconfortable, like you needed to hold the bread basket in your lap.The food was unremarkable, but that is how holidays tend to be (chewy calamari, creme brule to thick/deep).The food presentation was good. Probably the thing that bothered me the most was that I made reservations and received an garbled voicemail an hour before my reservation stating I needed to call them to confirm my reservation. I had to look up their phone number and call them. I was told they do this for open table reservations."

"We enjoyed a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner and was very pleased. I had the cioppino and my husband had the rockfish. Both meals were outstanding! We also shared the crab cocktail and finished the meal with the chocolate lava cake. Service was also outstanding (we didn't feel rushed during one of the busiest nights) and parking is very convenient. We will definitely will return!"

"this place was beautiful and the view awesome. however we had the seared tuna and it was overcooked on the barbecue which killed the flavor. noodles it came with were great. took over an hour to get food and when my beef wellington came out it to was overcooked and had no flavor. i did not even eat it. the green beans were great and my hubby loved clam chowder and his food. the service was great and they were extremely apologetic for all the mishaps. I would give them a try again."

"Definitely not a restaurant for families. Immediately felt a "party" vibe and great bar setting. Staff were all friendly, out going, helpful and service oriented. Sweet potato fries were so good. Will definitely visit again."

"We have ordered better items before. They were out of halibut which was a bummer. Had the rock fish instead wish I hadn't. Boring and not flavorful at all. Entertainment was nice. We have a rockin fish card that was sent but doesn't do anything for you. Should have points for food incentive."

"The restaurant and bar are very attractive. The food was good, but priced for the neighborhood. Service was attentive and very responsive. The oak grilled artichoke was a very tasty appetizer. If we are in the neighborhood, we would visit this restaurant again."
