"Very small portion sizes! For sharing plates or tapas, as well as the price, I expected the portions to be larger. The shrimp dish had 3 shrimp. There were two crab cakes the size of a half dollar. I probably would go to many other places first before returning."

"We've eaten at Robust several times. Good food, cocktails and wine by the glass selections. Last Friday was the worst sevice experience I've had in a long time. The server was no where to be found for 15 minutes after we were seated. We placed a drink order with another server who went by our table three times. After placing the order, our server finally appeared and asked if we wanted to order something. At the end of our meal, the server asked if we wanted anything else, and after we said "No," she deisappeared for 20 minutes. I had to ask the hostess for our check."

"When service is bad even if the food is great it colors the whole experience. There is nothing that unique about Robust that I would miss out on by never returning.

"We enjoyed a pre-theater dinner at Robust, with each of us selecting a three-glass wine flight a salad, a small plate and sharing a flatbread. The service was very good, as was the food, but it was a bit pricey for what you get ($14 for two scallops, same price for two small crab cakes)."

"I'm not much of a wine drinker, so it's ironic that my favorite restaurant is a wine bar. But Robust never disappoints. I love their selection of small plates, and the sea scallops over creamy grits are especially noteworthy. Even more remarkable, however, is Robust's consistent quality. Very few restaurants of this caliber are able to maintain such a high level of excellence year in and year out. It's great to have a solid go-to place for a romantic date night or special dinner with friends."

"Love the food; the scallops and grits were delicious and unique and the crab cakes (also wonderful) had a surprising amount of crabmeat. The wait staff was quite friendly and helpful when selecting wine and dinner items. If you would like to converse with your dining companions, however, I would not recommend eating in the bar area."

"I read the menu in advance, and must admit I didn't have high expectations. However, after sitting down, I was very impressed by the updated drink menu and knowledgable waiter. I particularly enjoyed the wine list "coding" that allows wine sophomores like myself avoid mistakes. I also really liked the wine flight options - one of my favorite drink options is beer samplers in other restaurants. All of the food was excellent, even the small touches like the almonds on the cheese plates. Only minor complaint is that dishes we didn't order were delivered to our table by other servers twice - could have been a marketing ploy because after looking at the items we were tempted to keep them! Just over $100, for two people with drinks and dessert."

"We have always had an excellent experience at Robust. The Lobster Bisque was too watery and the beef entree had excellent taste but was tough. I had the Bisque 3 weeks before an it was superb. I think the Valentines volume may have had an effect.
