"I first tried Wildflower when I was living in Paris, France. My parents had been longtime residents of Tucson and I visited them for about a week. Little did I realize it, but the restaurant was actually new to Tucson at that time. After a week of some rather boring, tasteless food, I had to get a break. I didn't tell them, but I slipped away for an evening meal by myself. I was pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant that put out a great menu at an affordable price. Since then I've probably visited them at least yearly. Unlike so many restaurants, they didn't rest on their laurels, but they've continued to evolve as food has changed. And, they've also stayed on top of the interior/exterior designs. Bravo!"

"My wife and I chose Wildflower to celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary. When she asked me to make a reservation, there was no 2nd thoughts, it had to be Wildflower. The scallop dish is our favorite. While we didn't have it this time, we have had it several times in the past."

"Made reservation on line for 5:45PM to eat outdoors. Got there at 5:40PM and was told they and they had no room outdoors for us and the person should have told us outdoor dining reservations do not guarentee outdoor dining. That info was not included in the on-line resv process we used. Due to the incredibly high noise levels in the indoor dining area with dishes clanking everywhere, we asked to wait for the next available outdoor table. We were seated 65 minutes later (6:45PM) and then sat there for another 20 minutes before a waiter stopped by to ask if we wanted something to drink. Seizing the opportunity, we ordered at the same time. Can't justify going back there. Far too expensive for the hassel. Way too noisy to hear indoors."

"I have been to this restaurant a handful of times and absolutely love it. I'm a former Wildcat and no longer live in Tucson, but when I go visit, I make sure to stop here for a memorable meal. The food is always delicious and the desserts are exquisite! My husband and I just took his mom and sister out to celebrate a belated Mother's Day dinner and they enjoyed it as well. "In making my reservation I requested outside seating and was informed they would not reserve a table but would give me one if it was open upon arrival. When I arrived there were two outside tables open but was informed they were being held for large groups. My group was for four and one of the outside tables was set for four and one for six. My party was seated inside at a huge booth that sat six very comfortably but was very odd for my party of four. So why would they not seat me inside? Our server was below expectations, I noticed diners that arrived well after my party were served their drinks and food much sooner than us. The food itself, (short ribs, pork tenderloin) was very average, the pork dish was very dry. Also, it's very loud!"

"This was our first time at Wildflower and overall it was a positive experience. The food presentation was beautiful and had good flavor. My mahi could have had a little more seasoning, but it still fresh and flavorful. My wife ordered the scallops and found said they were amazing. The ambiance was great for visiting. We would go back."

"We've been to Wildflower many times before, but were quite disappointed this time. We sat inside, near the kitchen & it was extremely noisy and frantic. Our waiter, Michael, was knowledgeable and helpful, but service was slow. We got a wrong entree. We had to ask for a wine menu back. My husband ordered dessert & it took a very long time. The waiter came over to apologize but my husband had already decided to cancel it. Also, my husband's salmon was overcooked. My fish special had noodles that were cooked into a lump at the bottom. They also had a metallic taste from cooking too long in the wok. Overall, it was not a good evening and really changed our view of Wildflower."

"I adore all of Fox's restaurants, but Wildflower is my favorite. The service is always great and I love the fresh, tasty, seasonal, unique menu items! The ambiance is wonderful and very versatile - perfect for a romantic dinner or an upbeat, stylish outing with friends. And for you ladies: their dessert Bars if Sin is their famous chocolate dessert that has won awards and was ranked the 5th best chocolate dessert in the state!!!"

"I have been to the restaurant several times because I like the food there. Unfortunately the service was so shockingly poor we had to wait forever to order the desert, finally we decided not to order it because we did not see our server for more than 20 minutes. We were told it was short of staffs.
I have to give "F" for the service and rethink about going back since there are so many nice restaurants in Tucson."

"We love Wildflower. The food is consistently excellent and the variety of choices is unique. What we really hate, however, are the heavy metal chairs used on the outdoor patio. This may seem inconsequential but just listen to the grating/grinding/scraping/banging of those things every time a patron sits/stands/moves, and you'll be irritated beyond distraction."

"Took my family to Wildflower for an early evening weekday meal. The service, menu, wine list, quality and specials were quite good. My only knock, and it is a small one, is that the restaurant itself was very noisy. It is a large space with hard surfaces and no dividing walls, and thus, there is absolutely nothing to absorb sound. The restaurant was not overly crowded when we were there, and nobody was talking exceptionally loudly, but the reverberating sound made it almost impossible to hear the server and each other at the table. Even with this said I would still return and would recommend Wildflower to others."

"I love the Wild Flower Restaurant, I have lunch with my friends there once a month.
The appetizer, Calamari with Field Greens makes a nice lunch salad and it is excellent.
I have enjoyed lunch and dinner there for over 10 years and never been disappointed with
the service or the food.
I always make reservations because it is a very popular place."

"Although the food was good, there are some that a) do not want their food piled on top of each other even though that may be the "upscale" way to do it, and b) some people would not prefer their fish and rib dinners in a bowl. (Who got that idea?) Maybe you could inform diners how you present the food and perhaps give them a option? You have a nice restaurant in a great location but will think twice before returning."

"Always fresh and delicious. Waiter was ver accomodating, and we were 4 adults, including my 97-year old Mom. He treated her with respect and was quite patient, even though it was busy. The fish of the night melted in my mouth, but do save room for the 6-layer chocolate cake with homemade salt-caramel drizzle. Generous size, perfect for sharing!"

"My wife and I were seated outside at a very private table which was nice. The The Calamari was good and light and crispy. I enjoyed the mixed greens salad and my wife ordered the same but she thought that it could have used more dressing. I had a nice bottle of Pinoir Noir. Wine is 1/2 off on Tuesday's. My wife enjoyed her pasta with chicken. I ordered the ribeye which had excellent flavor and the gravy and sides were excellent. I ordered it medium rare and it was prepared medium well. It was really good so I proceeded to eat much of it. The waiter did eventually make it by and I showed him my steak. A new one was promptly brought at proper temp. A manager also stopped by and it was handled well."

"Food was excellent but the tables are really close together and unless you get a booth you are kind of hanging out in the middle really close to other tables. Also very noisy. Hard to have a conversation. Would go back but would probably pick a quieter day and time (Saturday at 5:30 is kind of busy) and reserve a booth."

"As other guests have said, if you want to avoid the restaurant noise, ask for a table on the patio. It is a much better atmosphere, especially if you are only a twosome."

"Outstanding dining establishment..be sure to make reservations.The service was as great as was the food; the noise level indoor dining not acceptable; outdoor patio was acceptable, and 'quiet' relative to the terrible indoor acoustics.
The green salad Butterleaf on menu butterleaf medjool dates, goat cheese, almonds & creamy basil dressing. The main entrees of Bouillabaisse, Pork Osso Bucco were outstanding; the Lemon Grass Scallopsjustat first and second bite lived up to their reviews/recommedations, but the flavors did not sustain favorably for this reviewer throughout ingesting. Our server Patrick was knowledgable, friendly, and was available when we needed him...fine ! Definitely a restrauant to revisit and refer. Loved it !"

"There was confusion on who was serving us so we waited 20 minutes to be attended to while we listened to our fellow diners who were practically sitting at our table. It is a very loud environment and cramped space where staff and customers were regularly bumping into my chair as there isn't enough room to walk between tables. When the food finally arrived it was quite tasty but the experience was lost with slow and inattentive service by the staff, who appeared to be hired for the looks. only one of our drink orders made it to our table. Not an enjoyable experience overall.
We won't go back."

"We were disappointed with Wildflower. The environment was noisy and crowded--it was hard to even get to our table due to the crowding of tables. My dinner of salad and bouillabaisse was okay, but my husband's MP fish special was not. The fish portion was really small, probably 3 oz., and the sides lacked flavor. At $29, it seemed extremely over priced. The staff was fine, but the food did meet to our expectations for the price point. We have paid less for much better quality. I would not recommend this place to friends."

"our dining experience at Wildflower was second to none as always. the food and service is always exceptional.
i was deeply saddened to hear that Ben the manager is no longer with Wildflower. he was one of the reasons i loved dining there so much. he went beyond the call of duty and having been in the restaurant industry myself, i would say he was a real gem. i wish him all the best."
