"I've been here multiple times now, and I've never had a bad meal. Lunch isn't usually a problem for a walk in but weekend nights you will probably want to make a reservation. Highly recommend it to anyone. My personal favourite is the fish n chips."

"Taken to our 2nd floor table in a small room shared by a fantastic, English looking bar. Surrounded by dogs...photos, paintings, clay, etc. Several rooms further back giving us the feel of dining in a private home. Ordered shepards pie (lamb stew topped in yummy mashed potatoes and my friend had salmon that she said was the best ever. Dessert? Sticky pudding which was reminiscent of our last trip to London. A very relaxing evening with excellent service."

"Perfect for a low key place. Great food that is distinctive but doesn't try too hard to be too creative. Not quite foodie special, but entirely satisfactory for foodies who want to take it easy and just get a meal that isn't crazy. Good service. Friendly atmosphere. "We visited Dandelion for brunch. The food was very good and I would have rated it as excellent if they didn't put nutmeg in their mac and cheese. I wanted the traditional English Sunday roast but it was too early for it to be served so I went with the Bangers and mash. The sausage was excellent as was the onion gravy. The potatoes were fine. My partner had the fish and chips. The fish was probably the best I had ever tasted. Crisp on the outside and flakey on the inside the chips were thriple fired. I could have been satisfied with double fired. I'm not a fan of dark french fries but they were crispy and good. We shared the mac and cheese but I didn't eat much of it because I don't like nutmeg in my mac and cheese. I'd go back."

"One of my favorites. I was told it has pork in it on the day I dined. I hope they bring back the vegetarian beans. If you have had them, you know what I am talking about. Great meal. Was able to have Eggs Florentine instead of meat version."

"Lifelong resident of the Philadelphia metro area and had to "travel" to the UK for the best brunch. My wife agreed to try Dandelion reluctantly -- after all, the menu didn't sound particularly exciting. What a find. Everything was exquisitely prepared. Particularly good was the spring pea soup. I'm not ordinarly a pea soup fan, but I could make a meal out of this stuff. My daughter had the fish & chips which consisted of a single large fish filet with a beautiful, crispy crust and Dandelion's signature "chips" (fries for all you Yanks). I'm now looking forward to giving the place a try for dinner."

"Our reservation was 3pm too early for the Sunday Dinner menu which began at 5. I usually like the Roast Beef which is only served at Sunday dinner. The afternoon menu was more than satisfying and we got to try different items we may have missed otherwise. We shared two appetizers one being the cheese tray, which was very good and did a beer sampler, and then ordered our pint after tasting the samplers. The hamburger, The Fish and chips and the seafood plate were all very good. Pricing was what you expect for a nice place in center city, but not overly expensive. the highest entree is $28. Good dessert
Service was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable about all the beers and the menu items. Been there 4 times and will be back."

"The menu at The Dandelion is quite unique compared to the surrounding restaurants by Rittenhouse square. The cheese board, as most people recommend, was a great way to start the meal. I really enjoyed our server, and she was incredibly attentive, but not pushy. The only negative comment I have to add is that the kitchen was a litte backed up, so it took some time for our dinners to arrive. It was not too long of a wait, not long enough for me to say anything to the wait staff.
The fish and chips were quite tasty, and it did hit the spot."

"The food was excellent and appropriately priced. Our waiter was good, but a little over-attentive. He kept telling us to relax, but I felt so rushed, and my dining experience with my girlfriend was interrupted a little too often. It felt like he wanted to get us out of there fast."

"We frequent Dandelions with pleasure. I met a good friend there for lunch this week, and as happens more often than I like to admit, I left my wallet on the table. "The Dandelion is a lot like other Stephen Starr restaurants -- well-executed them-based establishment. The restaurant is the approximation of an English pub and does it well. The fish and chips live up to their reputation and the Welsh rarebit is good, too. The bread basket is excellent and my dining companion enjoyed her lamb shepherd's pie and deviled eggs."

"It was our first visit to Dandelion and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambience. Our friends had the fish and chips and they were delicious. I enjoyed the salmon however there was a bit too much butter added. When we return, which we definitely will, I think I will try one of the signature dishes such as fish and chips, shepherds pie, etc. Looking forward to going back."

"We had 6 people for a business dinne ron a Monday night. The pkacewas full, but the upstairs was far from overly noisy. "This is our second time to The Dandelion, and it is a consistently satisfying experience. The menu is diverse enough for our family, include children aged 9 and 12. The selection of appetizers and small plates was a great way to experience some of the menu's unique flavors. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful when guiding our decisions.
Bangers & mash, Scottish salmon, scallops, and steak and chips -- everything was delicious and comforting. Even the kids enjoyed everything on the table.
The Dandelion also has a fantastic beverage selection for both adults and kids, and the classic Pimm's Deluxe was terrific, as well as the fun speciality sodas.
Mature and casual/upscale pub atmosphere with unique rooms makes it fun to return."

"The Dandelion is definitely at the top of my list. We came around 9pm. Downstairs was pretty full and the noise level was high but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. My two friends and I sat upstairs. It was much quieter there, better for conversation. Our waiter came to talk to us immediately and filled our waters.
Soon after ordering the food came out. It was fresh and absolutely delicious! The flavors were well balanced and the portion size was perfect. I left feeling full and satisfied with some leftovers for the next day. The Dandelion also has a wonderful selection of beers and mixed drinks.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. I'll definitely be coming back here next time i'm visiting Philadelphia."

"Dandelion continues to offer a great experience, for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The bar scene is a lot of fun, but you can also have a cozy, romantic table for two. "Once again we brought Vistors to Philadelphia here for a great evening. We were greeted by the front desk as if we were family. Their concern was to make our evening PERFECT.. and so it was. We had an evening of appetizers . They were amazing."

"This place is great. It has an Irish themed menu with a new spin on old classics. The Steak and chips was amazing, the side roasted asparagus is also highly recommended. The beer selection was very impressive as well. Highly recommended."

"We come to Philly every now and then and we always make it a point to stop at the Dandelion. Delicious scones and french toast! My bf got the roast beef sandwich, which he enjoyed. We love the atmosphere and we are never rushed. We went for brunch and saw many large parties of 5-10, so it looks like a nice place for a get together too!"

"Had a wonderful meal at Dandelion....6 of us went for a fun night out ....food was excellent, everyone loved their apps and meals...pate parfait was great....a LOT of pate served with fabulous toasted brioche (big enough to share), very tasty welsh rarebit, foie gras, ham hock terrine to die for. Excellent mussels, rich, delicious rabbit pie, best salmon entree ever. Service was very attentive. We had requested a table outside if weather would cooperate but when it didn't they seated us at a great table just inside the windows and it was a fabulous spot.
Will definitely return. It's a winner!"

"... or what we have nicknamed the chicken and duck liver parfait, is the number one reason we keep coming back here! Its the best foie appetizer in the city. I've consistently had good service and can't wait to go back and sit by the fire before it gets too warm!"

"We went here with a 2 year old, a couple of teenagers, and grandparents. Everyone loved the food and atmosphere. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Philadelphia. The salads are delicious, the cheese plate has amazing biscuits and crackers, and the beer selection is terrific. Wonderful service and ambience."

"I had been to Dandelion once before with a group from work during the week, and I recently went back with my fiance and her mom. Both times I've gone, I have gotten the House-made Ricotta... you HAVE to get the House-made Ricotta. Other than that, the food was very good English food, so if you like Lamb Shepherd's Pie or Bangers and Mash, then definitely check out Dandelion.
The atmosphere on a Friday night was very different than during the week. The ambiance was very energetic, even too loud at times for conversation. The bar was hopping at 8:30, and was still that way by the time we left. It seemed like a fun place to be, but maybe a bit too crowded since the restaurant is in a transformed house and was not the most spacious."
