The Village Cork is a rustic yet comfortable wine bistro serving boutique wines and local and organic foods. Since opening in 2001 our focus has been to provide an "open arms" atmosphere. "Eat, drink, and be merry" is our way of life here at The Village Cork.
"Good, varied, but limited menu. Pleasantly surprised by a sweetbread appetizer, which was delicious. Good wine selection. Friendly atmosphere. Will go again."

"We had a great meal paired with some fantastic wine. Really nice, cozy atmosphere. The waiter was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. I would have preferred that the waiter tuck in his shirt and not be so informal with us though."

"I found The Village Cork to have that rare combination of really good food in a casual, comfortable place. I read through the other reviews here, and my experience was great in every way."

"I took my husband there for the 1st time. I had been there 2 wks prior. It was great and we had a wonderful waiter named Mitch. He took his time with us and made us laugh and the food was awesome. When my husband and I arrived we wanted to be seated somewhere not right in front of the door entry way, so we asked to be seated somewhere different and it just went down hill from there. We felt rushed and talked about and it was not a good 1st experience for my husband. Granted it's $52.80 , but you should be treated the same all the time. To me, customer service is everything~"

"Restaurant was nice but we were seated by a large window, and an air conditioning vent that was blowing cold air. We asked them to turn it off and we were told you will warm up. We placed a coat over the vent just to be able to sit there. It was very small plates not enough food for a meal and it was very expensive. They should offer a bread basket or something. We will not go back, it could be a great place."

"Experienced Village Cork during Denver Restaurant Week. Food choices were reasonable, with a good vegetarian option. Disappointed that a Wine Bar didn't include ANY wine in the $52.80 deal. Wait staff very knowledgeable, kitchen staff still finalizing menu items when we went... Music was a bit too loud to talk over."

"My hubby and I went here for a belated Valentine's Dinner. Our waiter was able to recommend fantastic wine choices, which I truly appreciated being a wine novice. The pork dinner was amazing, and the salmon was incredible. Make sure you don't skip dessert - the chocolate torte and bread pudding was the highlight of my meal, and the portions were the perfect size. Super romantic and cozy. Prices were extremely reasonable. Check this place out for sure!!!"

"The Food was excellent, the Salmon I had was moist and tender. The wine that was suggested went well with the cheese plate and food that was served. The atmosphere was great and helped with our special evening"

"We stumbled on the Village Cork while visiting Denver. I just put a reservation request in OpenTable and it popped up and the reviews on Yelp were very good. We enjoyed our visit very much - generous pours of great wine by the glass (or bottle). Delicious, creative yet simple meals with fresh ingredients and vegetarian options. We each had the cauliflower soup which was amazing even though it was dairy-free. We shared the crispy squash latkes with sauteed kale and it was delicious. I wish we hadn't had a late lunch and could have been hungrier to sample more of the menu. The service is very attentive, from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave and the ambiance is charming. We will be back when we are in Denver again."

"This trip was fabulous food -- waiter not so much. Very likeable guy but I must have asked 4 times for the almonds, got the wrong salad, service was extremely slow. My observation was that the service was slow because he was visiting for long periods at each table and whenever any of us at our table tried to get his attention, he didn't look. A good waiter should be friendly and hyper aware of what's going on at his tables but not intrusive."

"Village Cork has a unique and marvelous selection of wine by the glass. Plus they offer flights if you're interested in trying things. The food is more impressive than the service. I generally despise winter vegetables, but went with the waiter's description of the Vegie latkrs. Blown away by the carnival of flavor and presentation of this dish! Outstanding service."

"The Village Cork is a neighborhood gem, but the service is terrible. Took nearly 30 minutes before two glasses of wine were in front of us and another 30 minutes for a simple cheese board. On top of the poor service, the noise made us feel like we were at a frat party, not the romantic wine bar date spot we were led to believe we were spending the evening at."

"My friend and I went to the Cork for a late holiday celebration. We both have food sensitivies, and the chef was extremely accommodating in adjusting his creations to suit our limitations. And we both loved what he came up with!"
