"We had a party of 10 adults and 4 small children under 5. Total party of 14 to celebrate Father's Day at 4PM. Overall, the service was excellent and the food was so good, we spent a lot of money. I made the reservation, and everyone told me that it was an excellent choice. Three of us had the signature prime rib, and it was very good. All of us plan on going back to try other items on the menu. I live in Katy, and it is worth the drive."

"We are regulars at the restaurant but I knew Father's Day would be packed so I made a reservation for our family. My only complaint was that they wouldn't seat us until everyone had arrived and we were coming separately. But it was not a problem, the bartender was great so we waited at the bar. They have a kids menu so everyone was happy. The food is very good - try the cheese grits, yum. Their menu is very large and can be overwhelming but gives you a variety to choose from for either breakfast/brunch or lunch."

"Four of us went there on a Saturday evening for dinner at 6:30 (early bc we were going to see a play at 8p). The waitress was very nice, prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous, without hovering. She got our orders in and food served promptly, and got us out on time.
The food was excellent all around. Three had the prime rib, and everyone loved it. I tasted it and it was very good. I had the shrimp/oyster combo which was also excellent--crispy shrimp with a crumbly, not-too-thick breading, and crunchy large fried oysters, all excellent. The Caesar Salad was also very good. We had martinis and vodka/soda, all very good.
The bill totaled $75/couple (1 appetizer, 4 cocktails, 4 dinner with salad). Overall it was an excellent experience."

"Great restaurant on Washington serving what could be the best prime rib in Houston. Wine selection is thin but what they list is very good. Atmosphere is very good and the wait staff are excellent. It is one of those rare places where you fit in dressed up or snappy casual. You would never be disappointed here..."

"Laurenzo's has a casual vibe, but there is nothing casual about the quality of the food served and the service provided by the restaurant's excellent staff - both are beyond phenomenal! I would definitely reccomend Laurenzo's to anyone who loves a great steak, a juicy buger, fresh seafood or the best french fries in town!"

"Laurenzos is pricey, I admit. But let's face it...if you're gonna eat out, and you really care about having a great gastronomic experience, you can't beat it! I first tried Laurenzos using a social media coupon, and was blown away by just how uniquely scrumptious EVERYTHING was..not just the entrée or the dessert, but EVERYTHING! This time I had the calamari appetizer, which was a huge portion of thickly sliced squiddy goodness served with an amazing chunky warm marinara...plus the cute little half lemon wrapped up and tied with a bow (I'm a sucker for that kind of stuff!) for squeezing. I couldn't resist getting the same entrée as last time, the fresh fish in lemon sauce, once again totally killer. Dessert was bananas foster. TDF! GO!"

"This is one of the best restaurants in Houston in my opinion. Nothing can beat the creamed corn! It is out of this world! Their prime rib and filet mignon are so flavorful -- it's some of the best meat I've had at a restaurant. They've got an extensive menu and you will not be disappointed!"

"After hearing so much about the prime rib at this restaurant, I finally gave a try. It lived up to all the good things I heard about it. The rib was cooked to perfection and the staff did a good job. I liked the layout and the noise level. We met a young lady who told she was the assistant manager, I think her name may have Jennifer. She did a very good job and was very warm and friendly. will be back."

"We love Laurenzo's! I've been for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. The food is consistent (I've had the shrimp and grits several times, and it is always the same amazing dish), and the service is impeccable. We've never had a server who wasn't completely on top of things throughout our entire meal. (However, we do have a favorite in Constance.)
The only drawback is that the menu is so diverse that decision making can be hard."

"Been here several times and food is always good and consistent. The only thing I don't like about them is that they don't tell you a side salad is extra. We went with my family a couple of weeks ago and 4 of us ordered caesar salad and they were $12 each! This time I went with some friends and one of the lady even asked if the salad came with the dinner and the waiter said yes. We were charged $2.99 extra. They were so busy that night and we just paid and didn't even bother to argue. It's not the money, just the principle of it."

"After reading some of the reviews before going, I knew going in that the food would be good, but the service is hit-or-miss. That was pretty much spot on. The food was excellent, but the service not so much. My husband had the prime rib-Texas cut (very thick-an excellent choice), and I had blackened fish Pontchartrain (also excellent). "My wife and I were given a gift card for Laurenzo's so we decided to try it. We had reservations for 6:30 PM (Friday night) and were seated quickly when we arrived. Parking is limited, and I can see where it could be difficult during peak periods. I noticed what appeared to be a security person watching the cars in the parking lot. The restaurant filled up by 7:30 PM. The hostesses were not rude, but I can see why some people might perceive them to be so. The food was unexpectedly tasty and flavorful, though some items were grossly overpriced. At least one of the steaks offered was priced at $38, which is on par with high end steak houses, yet lacked the justification. Children are welcome and elevate the noise level."

"It was my birthday and we had a group of 10. We had such a nice time and I was given a wonderful birthday desert with a candle.....it was perfect to get all my friends together and celebrate. The service was impecable, and the food was great, as usual. Everyone is friendly and polite and Laurenzo's is one of my favorite brunch spots in Houston."

"I've been here a few times, and I really like it, but I have a sub-standard experience every once in a while. It has great atmosphere and a very nice menu, but the portions are terrible for the prices. Sometimes the service is great and sometimes it is more than indifferent.
Most recently came to Laurenzo's to eat and watch game 1 of the final four early Saturday (5pm). Game was on none of the TVs, so I asked the bartender to change it - he acted like I killed his cat. Even then, he switched it on and left 1/3 of the screen full of menu text - why have so many TVs if you won't use them?
For wait service, I've got the same bad seed twice. Moves like shoes are covered in glue. Hostess, busboys, and water service was outstanding."

"What a wonderful experience. Our waiter Enrique was incredible. He understood that we didn't want to be rushed, that we wanted to try different foods and provided us with a dining experience that was just what we were looking for. Half price bottles of wine on Monday was a treat. We had appetizers, followed by ribs and fries as a 2nd course, followed by prime rib as a third course...all brought out one by one. We split between four and would have ordered a third entree, but with the wonderful bread and sides, we were too full. Not too full to order a dessert which was easily shared by all four of us as well. The manager Jennifer came by and checked on us. We found a new favorite restaurant."

"Was a little dissapointed, Expected more attentive setting felt like I was in a stepped up NY sports bar. Waiter was always in a rush , never explained the menu and choices for the day. Had to ask for bread on the table and waited for water and drinks . Place wasn't full but Prime Rib was good. The Menu is too full and looses you once you start reading it. Makes ya wonder what the speciality is when there is so much variety on it. I'd go back but not or a formal meal maybe to see a game at the bar or hng out with the boys"

"Both the gumbo and creamed corn were served cold. Had to ask for the creamed horseradish twice. And had to ask the manager for another glass of wine. The hostess crammed everyone in one area of the restaurant --- and it was not crowded. My boyfriend & I were stuck between 2 booths with kids. I know, kids gotta eat too but put a little thought into seating. There is no excuse for cold food. This trip was definitely not up to par."

"We love Laurenzos and we're so happy we made a reservation since we didn't have to wait. The food and service was awesome. The only unfortunate part of the reservation was I noted on the Open Table reservation that we had a 75th birthday to celebrate and somehow it didn't get to our waiter. Since I assumed I took care of it through Open Table...I didn't mention it and we had no celebration at our dinner. That was disappointing."
