"Was in St. Louis with a friend for a conference. First time in the city. We were ready for dinner early, and saw they had happy hour. What better way to celebrate our last night than with cheap AND STRONG margaritas! I found it odd that the main floor was almost empty, but the seated us upstairs, by oursleves. The private dining was nice, but we were forgotten by the waitress. I had to go downstairs to inquire about the salsa we were supposed to get with our tacos. The food was tasty, but it was Americanized Mexican. I did enjoy the guacamole with bacon and sundried tomato. The habenero mango salsa was not very spicy. In all, it was a good value at happy hour. I'd go back for that."

"The food overall was just ok, nothing special. What really upset our party was that the restaurant itself was not full, and we had made reservations on open table, but when we asked for outdoor seating the hostess refused. Clearly there were many open seats inside and outside, and she refused to give us outside seating (she was not nice about it at all). She also said next time it is better to call the restaurant vs. making open table reservations. Not impressed with this place, and they need to get better service employees."

"Our waiter was very fun and a good sport with a group of girls. We were having a bachelorette party. Food was very good, much better then chevys or any chain mexican resturant. I would recommend eating there and I look forward to eating there again soon."

"Terrific pricing! The food/ambiance/service are great, but the real story here is value! We went with four people on a Saturday night, had a terrific dinner with drinks and still spent only $100 (before tip)."

"The restaurant was clean; the seats were large and comfortable. The ambiance was somewhat medieval. We had no difficulty hearing each other. We had to ask for silverware, but our server brought it immediately. My daughter goes there frequently for lunch, and she had commented in advance that they always bring her something with meat in it when she orders vegetarian. Sure enough, she ordered vegetarian and they brought her something with chicken. She sent it back and the correct order came in record time. The food was tasty. I ordered guacamole (it was one of the nights they do it table-side,but ours came ready-made and was just average. Apparently, you have to specify if you want it made table-side."

"I took my mother to Catalina's for her birthday and I'm glad I did. It was a very upbeat and friendly place with great food. I will definitely be back and I would recommend a friend to this place. Great service great food."

"We got the table side guac. and the waiter acted like it was going to be a one hour wait, then he proceeds to tell us that it would be a fifteen minute wait. The guac had chunks of avacado in it b/c she did not mash it down at all. The waiter forgot drink orders, ignored my husband 2 times before I had to yell honey what do you want to drink. Food was great, service not so good."
