With its large oval booths and rich bronze leather banquets, copper ceiling with walnut trim and particular lighting, the main dining room at Harry's Café & Steak caters to both Wall Streeters as well as residents of the burgeoning Financial district neighborhood. Patrons will immediately be drawn to the 47 foot bar, covered in solid, rich American Black Walnut. Gone are the six free telephones, stock ticker and munifacts machines that once graced the bar area of the original, replaced by a professional sound system and separate bar seating designed to create a distinct lounge area where guests can enjoy great cocktails as well as food. Our separate wine cellar dining room evokes memories of the original restaurant in a more intimate setting. The 70 seat wine cellar has its own entrance located on Pearl Street but is also accessible from the main dining room.
"One of the better places for a business lunch in the Wall Street area."

"This is our third time of eating dinner at Harry's and it is consistently superb on every occasion. I would praise the staff for being attentive without being obtrusive. I have recommended Harry's. to all of my friends and the feedback comes back with nothing but praise. New York restaurants could learn a lot from Harry's on how to be " thoroughly. Professional". May they continue to gives pleasure for many years to come."

"Unlimited champagne lunch with huge food portions, best brunch deal in the city. I've been to Harry's many time before and it never gets old.
The scene at brunch is very different from dinner, you'll see a much younger crowd of diners and hear louder top-40 music. Our group of women (bachelorette party) had a great time together and I'm sure I'll be back again soon!"

"We had friends in from France and this meal was terrific in all ways. We had a great table (I'd love to know the number so I can request it in the future) - it was the round table that's sort of secluded in it's own little step up area to the left. Everyone ate every morsel of food and the service was great as always! Well done, keep it up! xoxo"

"the restaurant didn't update their reservation list, so they didn't have me down for the reservation. granted, I made it 45 minutes in advance... they didn't make a big deal about it, though, took my word for it, and sat us immediately. very classy move.
this place is great for a work lunch. it has a cozy, old-school, steakhouse feel. the menu has options for every price range, and everything I've tried is great from steak to burgers to fish."

"I've been to Harry's a number of times and usually enjoy myself. However the last few times I found them lacking. Server was not the most attentive. Stopped to check on the table next to us several times during the course to their meal but he only checked on us to take our orders and bring the check. Usually a no-brainer in the food area but lamb burgers seem to be an area of weakness for the chefs. Medium is pretty much raw well done is inedible.
Stay away from the burgers and stick with the steaks and seafood."

"This place has all the makings of a good NY steakhouse....nice atmosphere in a historic part of town, cool looking bar, private dining area in wine cellar, etc. I went with a large group and our service was spotty, steaks were overcooked and the wait time in between drinks, ordering, courses and entrees coming out was unnecessarily long. This group of friends has been regularly frequenting Manhattan steakhouses for the past 5 years. This was by far our worst dining experience. Will not return."

"We dined here on a Saturday night and had an eneven experience. The hostess was pretty much a flake (not nasty, but pretty clueless for this type of restaurant), but she finally figure out how to seat us in a room that was at least one-third empty. The food was actually relatively good. In particular, the onion soup and the loster ravioli special were delicious. The other items we had were solid, including the steak (a NY strip) which was solid but hardly notable. Waiter was so-so, but the rest of the wating staff was extremely good!"

"Brunch at Harry's is a great option if you are in the mood for a very lively place. The food is great, can very much recommend the steak and cheese sandwich, and the sparkling wine option is an extra bonus."

"The red meat is the star of the show, whether it be the steaks or the lamb, you will not be disappointed.
This is not meant to take anything away from the co-stars: the polenta fries and the creamed spinach do not disappoint.
The only thing I would warn against is the occasional headlights in the eyes as cars turn the corner near the dinning area (the whole restaurant is found lower than street level).
Nevertheless, the food was awesome!"

"Great appetizers, especially the short rib sliders and stuffed mushrooms. Excellent hanger steak and the cajun rib eye...the sides were ok (cold fries were quickly replaced with hot ones). The check for the group as surprisingly modest...we will be back."

"We ordered steak and eggs and BLT sandwich. Both dishes were very good. Well everything with bacon is good!! But the best thing about the place is the freed low champagne. Our waiter was very fast in refilling our glasses. Last time I went the waitress was very slow!! Try to get there before 2 because they stop refilling your glass at 3 pm!"
