"When we arrived, our open table reservation did not go through so we did not get a very good table, however, the manager said if something changed, or opened up, they would move us. We figured no way but 15 minutes later, we were moved to a much nicer table so good for the manager. The service was slow and un-attentive for my taste but I like the place and the view and I keep going back so it must not be that bad... Just wish it were a bit more dependable and that perhaps they entertain the idea of expanding the menu..."

"Our server didnt come to our table for at least 20 minutes after we had been sat, in fact no one did. We finally started waiving people down, but to no avail. When our server did come he was very nice and acknowledged the delay and was attentive from then on. The food was cold. And none of this was cheap. We were guests at the hotel and didnt want to go out and having that be our only option was really unfortunate."

"Very unimpressed. Waiter was too busy to serve us properly - worst service we have had in miami to date. Atmosphere amazing yes , but the food either came burnt (had to send back!) , or pretty basic for the cost , and the waitress didnt even get around to asking if we wanted wine with our main courses before we had finished. They forgot to give us side plates, took ages, and we felt pretty underwhelmed for what we thought was going to be the best meal out of our trip. Was not impressed especially seeing it came to $150 and they built in 18% gratuity for the non deserving service we received."

"This restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint! Great bayside views and the classic South Florida venue for dinner. Friendly staff great bar just an overall superstar diamond in the rough. The Standard hotel is a very unique property that is a must see when visiting South Beach. Highly recommended!!!!!!"

"We love The Standard and have been faithful customers. We invited out-of-town friends for dinner on Tuesday April 2. Our waiter told us about the specials, never mentionning a price or that any side was adiitionnal. Our bill was disproportiannaly high, we were told that we were paying for the view! ... Which was wonderful!"

"The Lido & Bayside Grill Restaurant is in a beautiful setting next to the Bay and it has great atmosphere, unfortunately the same cannot be said about its food or its service. I have dined at this Restaurant on many occasions since I frequent the Hotel and Spa, on my last visit, service was extremely slow and inattentive, our waiter failed to inform us about items we had ordered which were no longer available, after waiting indefinitely for our food, and subsequently re-ordering new food items, we were brought the wrong food to our table, and our waiter seemed totally unfazed by any of this, he was more preoccupied about folding the umbrellas in the Patio and closing down the restaurant for the evening."

"Great spot! The view from the outdoor area is amazing. We were there durin the Miami International Film Festival, which brought in the coolest crowd in town. We focused on the seafood dishes which was excellent. Do not miss the Mexican Chocolate Cake!"

"We used to love this restaurant. Now, it is incredibly noisy, even though outside, and not nearly as pleasant. Now they have DJs on the weekends. Made it impossible to talk to anyone at our table. Still a beautiful location but we will think seriously about going back."

"We arrived at 5:15. So we received the mid day menu, the waiter informed us that dinner does not begin until 6:00. So we told him that we would get some drinks and wait for the dinner menu. The service was fine until 5:50. Our waiter informed us that he was leaving so he wanted to close out. We did. He brought us the dinner menus as we requested and said our next server will be with us shortly and then nothing.... We asked the hostess 3 times to find us a waiter... nothing... it finally became 6:50. No one had even looked at us for an hour. We tried to wave down waiters, they waved back laughing. So we finally got up, and took our business to Prime Italian.
Lido missed out on a big tab. That's what happens when you run a poor restaurant"

"had a great time at Lido's. food was delicious. the service was only fair. it took about 20 minutes for anyone to come over to us. we got up and asked a few people and they said someome will be over in a few minutes. once our waiter came over to us then the service improved but it was a rough start. also valet was horrible at the hotel."

"No fault can be found in the Outdoor Dining experience at Lido. It was wonderful to sit along side the water and watch the boats go by. When it came to the food, it was a little disappointing. We were expecting a more innovative, interesting selection of food on the menu. Many of our dishes came out luke warm, perhaps because they had sat in the kitchen a little longer than they should have. One of our diners did not get her entree at all until we flagged our server. When it was brought to her, it was overdone and less than palatable. Too much time under heat lamps will do that to fish.
If a wonderful afternoon sipping Mojitos with snacks is what you are looking for, Lido is a great choice. Great dinners, maybe not so much."
