"The half-price tapas and sangria during happy hour were great. We had dinner for four persons with one drink each for $60. It is a small restaurant and the noise level was pretty high when it filled up. The servers were attentive and removed serving plates quickly as they were emptied. There were several vegetarian options and everyone found something they really liked from the half-price choices."

"Loved the food. It was wonderful. The service was great. On the down side, the portions were quite small when compared to the price that we paid. I would definitely suggest taking full advantage of their happy hour (half off appetizers and drinks) because everything is a little pricey. Or save this place for a nice date. It's best to park in front of the restaurant where there is better lighting."

"I love La Bodega! it's one of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City, especially considering how few tapas restaurants KC has to offer! I have never had a bad plate in the three times I have eaten there. Also, there is a great variety of plates for vegetarians. The only thing I found strange on my last visit was that there seemed to only be one waiter for the entire restaurant. Granted, it was a Sunday night, but it was strange to see one person covering so many tables. Regardless, the service was fine and nothing went wrong. Overall, I highly recommend La Bodega!"

"Since my first visit, I have always enjoyed La Bodega. Tapas are definitely the reason to visit, though their entrees and paella are good in their own right. The diverse and extensive tapas choices keep drawing me back - I often can't recall if an item on the list is a new one or just one I haven't noticed or tried recently. With all the choices, it's easy to make return visits. 2-3 per person works out well. Though the dining room is a tad crowded, we've always found it easy to have a conversation and the wait staff have been consistently attentive and friendly. It's a regular on my list!"

"We were not seated until 7:00 even though our reservation was at 6:30. However, once seated, the food was outstanding as usual. Highly recommend the chorizo stuffed dates, red pepper shrimp and potatoes--although you probably couldn't go wrong with anything. Be ready for a vibrant (read: very loud, but fun) atmosphere."

"Once again, La Bodega raised the bar for Spanish tapas. Thanks to our amazing waitress, we tried new tapas and the vegetable paella, and all were absolutely outstanding. "Okay, I've been here once before. You cannot beat the paella, no way, no how. BUT, here's a conversation you are bound to hear if you dine inside...

"We're try to get to La Bodega about once a month. It's consistently good to great food, fun atmosphere, delicious sangria (white or red), and good service. The clams/mussels with chorizo is very good as well as the baked goat cheese with tomato sauce and tenderloin with blue cheese. Fun place!"
