"Picked this restaurant based on a rating from "trip-adviser" and it's close proximity to our hotel in downtown Los Angeles. What a find. The ambience and staff were both warm and welcoming, the service was attentive, but no "hovering" around the table. The menu was just what we were looking for with great selection and reasonable pricing. The servings were ample, verging on generous and everything was delicious. Our table enjoyed a sea-bass over angelhair, a pesto pasta and veal parm. Started with bruchetta and tri-coloure salad and accompanied everything with a nice Chianti that we hope to be able to find retail when we get home. All in all, it was counted as a raving succcess on every level."

"Went before the theatre. We were seated promptly. The menu is quiet extensive, and the food was delicious. We started with a pizza & the antipasto salad, both delicious. The fish special, & the pasta carbonara were excellent, and the portions are large. We totally enjoyed our dinner, and will definitely return. It's a gem, & very reasonably priced."

"Dined at 8:15p on a Monday evening so the restaurant was nearly empty. But don't be fooled by the few patrons inside. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals, from Lasagna Al Forno and Spaghetti Bolognese to Baked Ziti and Gnocchi Napolitana. Also, recommend the Avocado Al Forno as a a starter along with Insalata Caprese. Narbeh was our server - experienced, knowledgeable, helpful & very pleasant. Prices were reasonable and a good value overall. We'll be back when we return to LA. If parking is a challenge, and it can be, you can park at the garage for the Fig and 7th Shopping Center (where Target is located and they will validate your ticket)."

"My husband and I, not being familiar with Los Angeles, made a reservation at Cucina Rustica via Open Table. It was great being able to see the menu and feedbacks . We were not disappointed with our choice. The food was excellent and our server very attentive and pleasant. Definitely a restaurant to come back to when we again visit LA!"

"The fish was hot like lava and I think someone forgot to turn the warmer on under the coffee pot.
They also have a bar downstairs that is advertised on their wedsite to be OPEN, that is actually only open on Friday nights."

"What really makes a restaurant memorable for me is the staff. The woman who greeted us at the door was smiling and very friendly. Our waiter was very attentive and so helpful. I asked a question about their wine by the glass that was on the "specials" menu and he brought out the wine and poured me a taste so that I could decide if I wanted it. I was very impressed by this! When I told him that I thought I'd go with one that was on the regular menu, he brought that bottle and another one to try. I have received that kind of attention at very expensive restaurants, but this was just unexpected and such a nice touch at a very moderately priced restaurant. Our calamari appetizer, salad and entrees were very good. We will be back!"

"This restaurant was absolutelly great! Our dinner party of 5 ordered a variety of dishes like Seafood Linguine, Lamb Shank, Gnocchi and Chicken Florentine and all dishes were delicious. The house wine was great, at a good value. The downstairs bar would be great if they promote more and provide live music (i.e. guitarist). I highly recommend, and it certainly beats waiting 2 hours for a table at Bottega Louie, this place is just 2 blocks away."
