Through the interactive use of state-of-the-art wine dispensing Enomatic machines, guests have the opportunity to experience a variety of the world's most prestigious wines. Two years in the making, the TOAST Enoteca & Cucina menu features an array of authentic Italian cuisine that can't be found anywhere else in town. At 1,650 square feet, TOAST Enoteca & Cucina can accommodate 50 patrons inside and 30 on the patio.

"I originally discovered Toast on a random stroll in San Diego's east village. I had lunch at the bar by myself--I was literally the only diner in the restaurant. But I had their signature octopus salad and a terrific glass of tempranillo. So, the next time I was in town, I took clients for dinner there--twice! We had very pleasant meals both times, though on the second night, the octopus salad was sold out, so I had to go without! One complaint was that several in our party the first night found a lot of the food too salty--especially the pork shoulder, which was otherwise melty-tender and fantastic. The roasted pear appetizer with gorgonzola is great--I will definitely have that again when I go back.
The wine list is amazing."

"Went here with a group in from out of town. not looking for a crazy expensive night but something memorable. This place was great. Amazing appetizer specials on sunday and the entrees were great. All pasta is homemade and the bread and dipping sauces were amazing. WIll definitely return"

"Italian food was great and they charge retail plus corkage for wine which is pretty cool and very reasonable...versus the 3-4 times mark up! They also have an abundance of wine by the glass 400+ that they use special dispensing system. Good place just to relax and enjoy wine as well."

"I was meeting a client there for lunch. We walked in at 12:30 with a reservation for 3 and were seated at the smallest table (a 2 top) in the place. I assumed that they had reservations coming in for a larger party but we were the only patrons the entire time.
Our server was delightful and realy worked to make it special but the food was tasteless and uninspired.
With so many wonderful restaurants in SD, I would pass this one by."
