Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
Nestled in the Belhaven District of Jackson, Peter & Tamar Sharp invite you to experience Sophia’s Restaurant. Reminiscent of a French country bistro, the intimate dining room has a romantic atmosphere, with a garden-like setting and its own private entrance on the west side of the Inn. Chef Gary Hawkins selects fresh, regional ingredients and prepares them with his own eclectic flair, emphasizing local fresh seafood. Chef Hawkins also features a daily three and four-course priced fixed menu available for dinner with or without wines.
Sophia’s offers full bar service and an extensive and affordable wine list.
Before or after dinner relax with a small plate and craft cocktail at the Library Lounge. Recently opened, the Library Lounge offers small plates, micro brews, wine flights, and craft cocktails in a relaxing environment themed around Mississippi's literary legends.
"My family and I had a wonderful brunch at the Fairview on Mother's Day. The food was delicious and plentiful. The wait staff was gracious as always. I think we're starting a family tradition."

Review 3 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"Sophia's is, hands down, the best restaurant in town. The sweet potato/duck confit concoction is heavenly. The fish of the day dish is always a good choice. The Library, the adjoining lounge, is a great place to have an adult beverage before and after. Elegant surroundings with a great crowd that is lively but not loud !! Perfect !!"

"I had a great time. My boyfriend and I had a very romantic dinner. The food was wonderful. We had a very comfortable relaxing nite. The waitress was very helpful and she was so nice helping us choose our dinner. I'm so glad that we had our first romantic dinner together and it was great!! Thanks(:"

Review 5 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"Our group enjoyed our overall experience at Sophia's Restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, and the food was good. However, there were a few things we felt needed improvement...the hostess was not friendly at all- She had a sour attitude and never smiled. Also, the service was slow. It seemed that our meal came within a decent amount of time, but the desserts took way too long."

Review 6 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"Gumbo and entrees were outstanding. The dessert sizes were small for the price, especially the creme brulete. It was also a little rubbery. They were out of bread pudding and the chocolate pie, however, which was VERY disppointing. Had to wait a long time for the desserts to come out. The dining room was short handed that day. Beautiful setting. Will return and recommend."

Review 8 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"Held a small cocktail party there. Fantastice on all levels, then followed with a smaller number at dinner. Let's just say I am a "repeat offender" at the Fairview."

Review 12 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"Too loud due to a wedding reception. Food was average at best especially considering pricing. Meat was over cooked and food was very bland. Salad lettuce was starting to age. Disappointed."

Review 14 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"Since I have been to Sophia's for lunch several times, I knew the food would taste great. And I knew the atmosphere would be perfect for a birthday celebration. I am totally OK paying more in the evening than at lunch but was not prepared to leave unsatisfied. I ordered scallops ($27)and was shocked to see THREE on the plate when it arrived. I ordered dinner NOT a snack! So I was very disappointed in that regard."

Review 16 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"We ate Sunday brunch. Ambiance was nice. Service very slow...had to ask for items several times. (cream for coffee, water etc.) Your menu, on your website, says fried chicken and prime rib for brunch. Neighter was served that day. It was my 50th birthday, and first time at the restaurant, and I was a little disappointed."

Review 17 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"I've dined at Sophia's restaurant before, but I doubt I will in the future. The food was very good, nice atmosphere, but the service was substandard. Our waitress got orders wrong and forget to bring beverages twice."

Review 20 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"The food was good (my Lamb was excellent, but the Ribeye was just above average). The fish and duck there are also fantastic. The service, wine, ambience, and the Library Bar are all second to none. I love this place and can't wait to go back."

Review 22 for Sophia's Restaurant at The Fairview Inn
"The sunday brunch has a very good ambiance. The food is good, but I'm not sure that it warrants $20.00 per person good. 10-12 dollars per person maybe. They have a good variety of meats and veggies and even a omelet bar made to order. I enjoy going to Brunch and would probably visit more often if it was less expensive."
