"Overall I think the service was actually pretty good but I gave it 3 stars because our waitress was a little slow and uninterested, although this didn't seem to be the case with the rest of the staff that we saw."

"We were disappointed with our recent visit to Sherwood's Landing. Food came out other than as ordered and badly overcooked. Service was slow and the staff seemed aloof and wasn't particularly helpful in correcting the kitchen's mistakes."

"We celebrated my sons 31st birthday. He had never been to Sherwood's Landing at the Inn at Perry Cabin, so this was very special. We had a fantastic table next to the beautiful fireplace. It was a perfect evening! I will continue to bring my family and friends for a guaranteed superb dinner."

"The food was very rich...We ordered a the brownie desert to go and still have not eaten it. Not sure we ever will as part of the decoration (after it sat overnight) has a gold plate looking thing on top. Not sure what it is made of and definitely don't want to eat something that looks like a precious metal rather than edible food."

"Breakfast is always pleasant at Sherwood's Landing because it has the perfect view. However, serving steamed, soggy English muffins instead of crisp toasted ones for Eggs Benedict makes the meal much less enjoyable.

Special appreciation, though, goes to Terry our waiter. He always makes us feel at home and welcome."

"The restaurant appearance was all I had anticipated it to be romantic,with candlelight and a spectacular water view I really don't think the staff/kitchen were able to handle the volume of meals that were served on Christmas. Although we had a reservation we still had to wait and the table was not in the best of places right by the entrance(I felt I was eating in the middle of Rt. 95) Our waiter was "rushed" and appeared to be "harried". My husband ordered the beef( which he said was "ok")I had the salmon, which was "ok") Nothing about the meal was grand except the price tag. We had a much better lunch at a quaint neighborhood pub down the street the following day.We did not return to Sherwood Landing the remainder of our stay."

"We were happy to be seated at a window table, as requested. The menu looked terrific, and one could choose between the regular menu and the special Christmas Day set menu (three courses). It is very pricey, with most entrees over $30, so we will go back only on special occasions, but everything was delicious and (unlike many restaurants in this price range) plentiful. The ambience is very comfortable with friendly service. I'm giving service 4 stars instead of 5 because it got off to a slow start and our appetizers arrived, without their utensils, before our drinks did. After that, it improved. We really enjoyed the experience and left very happy. The only thing that could have been better is if we'd had a room there to retire to!"

"My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Perry Cabin the weekend of the 2009 blizzard. Because there was a foot of snow on the ground, the venue was nearly empty, so we had the restaurant almost to ourselves. The service was good, but exceedingly slow - I suspect because of low staffing due to the weather. That said, the food was EXCELLENT, creative, and well-executed."
