"I frequent Epic when we have business visitors in town as the food is excellent and it's a short distance from my office. When I saw they were doing a Mother's Day lunch, we signed up immediately. The starter was an egg benedict using kalua pork instead of the Canadian bacon ... simply scrumptious! There were 3 entrees, a bacon wrapped meatloaf loco moco, miso glazed salmon with a furikaki musubi or quiche. Our party of four ordered the loco moco and the salmon. The loco moco was served over mashed potatoes, but it was excellent. I tasted the miso glazed salmon -- wow! The meal was capped off with carrot cake bread pudding ... I'm not a fan of bread pudding but it was simply delicious. I hope Epic does this again. Highly recommended!"

"Pre-Mother's Day dinner!
Nice atmosphere, and mostly great foods,
Unfortunately, they ran out of the escargot,
and garlic shrimp risotto was too salty.
They replaced them and provided desserts.
Still enjoyed all the other entrees."

"Restaurant Epic is a good restaurant; I wanted to get out of Waikiki area to eat and found some interesting dishes that were well prepared. The biggest negative was the neighborhood which seemed a little iffy. Once inside the atmosphere was good, with more reasonable prices than Waikiki as well."

"From the time we sat down and the waitress took our drink order it was about 15 minutes. Then it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks. We were a group of 10 so we were eager to get our drinks and socialize. Our waitress also didn't have much of a personality but other then that everything was good."

"We were pleasantly surprised that our party of five was seating in the VIP Room. I hadn't requested it when I made the reservation through OpenTable. We were, however, disappointed that we weren't able to order from the Happy Hour menu because of the fact that we were in the VIP Room. Hmmm....shouldn't VIPs be able to do that? The waiter said we should've been advised of that when we made the reservation and said we could try to find an empty table if we wanted to order from the Happy Hour menu. We elected to stay in the VIP room because of its privacy. The food and drink we ordered were very good. Service was excellent."

"The restaurant lives up to its name. Creative menu with delicious twists. I dined with three guests and we each ordered a different entree. We then proceeded to argue who had the best one and started rotating plates around the table. They were all great. Good portion sizes, good service, overall wonderful."

"John was a wonderful server! He advised ordering from the happy hour menu since we had 15 minutes left. Awesome! All of our entrees were great (too bad they were out of chicken & biscuit because we wanted to try it). Salmon: yummy, Pork chop: delicious, Garlic Shrimp Risotto: so good! We also loved the extra sides of brussel sprouts & miso mushrooms. YUMMMMMMM!!! We can't wait to go back!!! I also love that they are IDcard participants!!!"

"We loved the restaurant so much we stayed over 5 hours. Enjoyed our dinner and dessert, conversation with great friends, another drink, then more food. Our waiter Aaron is first class. Personable, sharp, politely attentive and made our evening memorable. Thanks for not kicking us out after 3 hours....we would highly recommend this restaurant! Kudos to the chef!!"
