Eagle's Eye Restaurant - Kicking Horse Mountain Resort
Eagle’s Eye Restaurant is located at 7700 feet; the Summit of Kicking Horse Mountain. Hand carved tabletops; local timbers and stonework provide an elegant setting. Floor to ceiling windows frame panoramic views of the Rocky, Purcell and Selkirk Mountain ranges. The Rocky Mountain cuisine is complimented by an outstanding selection of Canadian wine and artisan beer. Join us for lunch daily, dinner (Friday and Saturday)or at one of our Summer Dinner Concert Series evenings. Reservations are accepted at lunch for groups larger than 6 and are recommended for dinner.

"Spectacular view, great service and unique menu which had something for everyone. We had supper here and enjoyed the view very much. Our kids all ate from the kids menu and were all very happy with their meals, pizza looked homemade and the chicken fingers were excellent, normally I wouldn't say chicken fingers are excellent but my daughter said they were the best chicken fingers she had ever eaten. Price was quite high but given the spectacular view, the unique menu (no one left hungry) and the complimentary gondola ride up, it was worth it, probably just for special occasions for us though! We also had a group of 10 and they accomodated us very well."

"Our experience here was that you're paying for the view, which is not suprising seeing as it's on top of a resort. Unfortunatly, dinner in the winter is dark so the view isn't even that good. The food was ok, though small portions, especially for what you're paying for. I ordered a desert coffee and it came cold. When I sent it back I got a luke warm version. I would not rate this in my favourite of fine dining experiences. There's better food in restaurants in Golden. (Eleven 22 was awesome)"

"Enjoyed lunch on a Friday afternoon between runs. Was busy when we arrived around 1, but it cleared out quickly after the lunch rush. We made reservations and it was painless. Bright restaurant, and great views when it's clear outside. Food and drinks were excellent. Would definitely recommend."

"Superb place for a truly unique dining experience. A high end restaurant 8,000 feet up in the Rockies is something special. And it's not a tourist trap - the food and service are absolutely first class. A not-to-be-missed splurge on any trip to KHMR. Wine list is very BC-heavy and quite expensive (not much under $70pb). A few more affordable Old World selections would have been appreciated. Kudos to Marie-Pierre and Britney for their superbly efficient and friendly service."

"Enjoyed the experience, but wasn't expecting a group of 40-60 to be as loud as they were across the restaurant. Staff did their best to keep us on the other side.
Food was good, though the menu was very small. Was unimpressed with wine service, as I went from a white to a red, and didnt' get a new glass. Very small portion for the amount charged on the per/glass wine menu.
Atmosphere was very nice though..."

"Wow.. I've loved this place for the last few years, but the food on our recent visit was really disappointing..
- Potato soup was bland and recipe uninspired
- Burger bun used to be fresh baked.. this was "not-so-fresh"..
- Summit Salad advertised "goat cheese, yam frites, cranberries".. but was lacking in most of these gems.. particularly goat cheese?
- Salmon po-boy sandwich was severely lacking in salmon

"We went with our two young children & it was a lovely experience overall - from the gondola ride to the magnificent mountain top views. Our server was friendly, but a bit distracted/busy, which was a little disappointing for the price we were paying. The food was out of this world, but of course portion sizes were very small. The sablefish was amazing. I rated this as 5 stars because the view surpasses any other & the food was really delicious."

"What fun to ride a gondola to have dinner at the Top of the World. The service was very good and the food excellent. I would recommend this restaurant for not only the food and service but for the ambiance as well.
