"This was the 2nd time that i have dined at Oceanaire Seafood Room and it was GREAT!!! The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was great, and the food was to die for!!! My husband enjoyed his Fathers Day! Even though this is a higher end restaurant my 2 year old had options and enjoyed her fish and chips!"

"We always go to Oceanaire with high expectations and had never been disappointed. This past visit, however, altered my view of one of the following: the waiter, the restaurant management or Landry's as the relatively new owner of the chain. The up-sell pressure was phenomenal.....They were trying to sell crab...well....like hotcakes....The waiter pushed it for nearly every entree and appetizer.......this whole ordeal made us crabby..."

"The food was outstanding but the service was a bit lax. Our server disappeared for a while but when I asked another waiter to get him he did tens to my needs. The server didn't seem pleased that I called him out about not being attentive. By the way the restaurant was not at all crowded."

"My wife and I got away for a weekend to spend in Baltimore and had our second dinner of the weekend at Oceanaire. All around it was exceptional. Started with PEI oysters (perfect if you like small, mild flavor - recommended by the waiter). They were fresh, cold. presented nicely and tasty.
For our entrees. we had the Copper River Salmon Grilled - I grew up in Alaska and have to say this is always my favorite time of year living on the east coast because going to fine seafood restaurants they serve this mild, fatty salmon. If you like salmon, this is the best you can find ANYWHERE! Usually comes mid-May and runs through mid-June. we also split the spinach and mashed potatoes which were great too.
We will be back next time in Balt!"

"It was my first time dining at the Oceanaire. We had a generally good experience. I ordered the Oceanaire's barrel-aged Manhattan, which I found to be over-hyped and under-filled. We were impressed by the menu selection and enjoyed our meals. I had the Mahi-Mahi topped with crab meat and lemon beurre blanc. The other members of our dining party very much enjoyed the Crab Cake platter and Seafood Medley respectively. We also enjoyed the chopped salad prior to our entrees. The Oceanaire prides itself on its service, and Ian (our server) did a nice job engaging our table, however we were disappointed that we never received the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail we ordered due to an computer malfunction. Overall, good food in a novel atmosphere."

"We traveled to Baltimore to spend an overnight foe a Sunday afternoon banquet. We treated ourselves to a Saturday night diner at Oceanaire. We have been to Oceanaire both at their Washinton DC location and the in Fells Point in Balitome. Oceanaire did not disappoint. The tower of shell appetizer was fantastic as usual. The service is great and the food marvalious. We will be back."

"The food wasn't worth the money, it was more like "hotel" quality dining. My salad was drowned in dressing. My halibut fish dinner was a disappointment. The sauce was on the oily side and the sauce flavor needed work. Sadly, my fish didn't really taste or look like halibut. My date and I wondered if they mixed up fishes in the kitchen. The crab stuffed shrimp were small for the price and the filling needed more crab and less bead filler. The asparagus with hollandaise sauce was excellent. The wine service was well done. The bar drinks very well made. The waiter was very good and attentive. The atmosphere was lovely. In a town with several good to great dining choices, I would not go here again due to the food."

"This was my first visit to your restaurant. From the moment the executive chef (presumably) greeted us at the door to our waitress making sure the valet had the car waiting outside when we left, I was extremely impressed. The Chilean sea bass was better than any I've ever tasted. The bone in rib eye wasn't perfect---but then again, you're a seafood restaurant, so I didn't expect it to be second to none. It was, nonetheless, quite tasty. On this particular visit, there was a crying baby there, but since I suspect that was an anomaly, I found the noise level and overall ambiance to be acceptable. All in all, I would have no hesitation recommending Oceanaires to someone. You are, unarguably, a top shelf establishment from start to finish."

"Very good food but the service level was poor. We had a large party of 10 and evidently the server knew he would be getting his tip so we had to wait on everything. When I complained to the waiter about having to wait 25 minutes for a bottle of wine he said "what do you want me to do?".......your job! Complaining to the host didn't help either. Management needs to address this issue."

"We had an 8:30 reservation and got seated at 8:40 even though the restaurant was empty and we arrived at 8:00. We ordered within 10 minutes of sitting and didn't get our food until 10:10pm. It took 40 minutes just to bring out soup and salads. The server spilled diet coke on two of us and didn't even apologize and offer to clean it up. The food portions were extremely small for the cost and it wasn't even good. Also, the soup came out warm, not hot as well as the food. Nobody was busing the table through the night either. I went to the one in DC and then this one in Baltimore and both times I had a bad experience. This was for a bachelorette party, and dinner took so long (over two hours) that we didn't even want to go out anymore."

"We arrived a bit early for our 7:30pm reservations on Saturday, April 6th so headed to the bar for a cocktail. We were greeted by 3 bartenders and then asked for our order and waited and waited and waited. Two of the three disappeared and the other one was too busy with the waiters to help us. We also ordered oysters that we had to personally hand carry to our table with the wine glasses and bottles that we eventually received.
The food was less than appetizing and the service was just as bad. Will never go back and will not recommend at all!!"

"My husband and I went to Oceanair for our 9th anniversary. Upon arrival we were immdiately seated in the front corner of the resturant away for the general population. Our waiter was also the bar tender so he was not attentive at all due to manning the bar as well. Our appetizers took about 35 minutes to make it to the table and the actual entree took an additional 45 min. the steak was hard and crispy on the outside and the fish was barely one helping of food. Even though this is a seafood resturant some of the popular steak houses are much better for seafood.I suggest Flemmings, Prime Rib, Ruth Chris or Papas. You will have a much better experiance."

"Good service and ambiance, but generally not a good value. Food is good but not exceptional, and overpriced. Simple piece of grouper for $35+ (nothing but the fish) is not a good value, in my opinion. Other dishes are similiarly overpriced."

"Very nice restaurant. I was expecting it to be pricey but I think it was way over priced! We were a party of 2 and our bill came to $250!! Mainly because my husbands 3 lb. lobster was $120. My husband ordered a 2 lb. lobster ($80) but was Disappointed when he found out that they ran out of 2 lb. lobsters which made him get the 3 lb since his heart was set on lobster that night. That mark up is just outrageous. The restaurant is beautiful and the drinks were delicious. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant. The food was good but not worth the price. The oyster bar and bar scene is really nice. Next time we are going for the bar scene only."

"This was my first occasion at this location. I'd often dined in the DC location, therefore my expectation was high. My husband had never dined at Oceanaire and was eager to experience all of the rave.
Food was not as great as I recall; in fact the hash browns were brought out a full ten minutes after the entree. By then, is already eaten one of my lukewarm crabcakes.
Though the side of hashbrowns were removed from our bill and we were offered a free dessert, we probably will not dine here again.
