"Overall, nice restaurant - nice location with scenic drive to get there. :) Service was excellent - bread, soups, entrees, drinks brought out promptly. Very quaint and cozy, especially with fireplace on. :)"

"This would be the third year in a row we've had Mother's Day Brunch at Bass Lake Taverne. My only suggestion would be to change up the menu a bit! Same menu for three years in a row? (But keep the crab/lobster soup.....yum.)
Other than that, it was a fabulous experience."

"I had the Mediterranean salad which was very good. My daughter had the chicken salad and it was good but my other two guest said their turkey meals were ok. There was a screaming child there that made the experience unpleasant until management asked the parents to take the child outside until it calmed downed."

"This a quaint place next to a golf course so the scenery help improve the experience. The brunch menu was fantastic, Had the Eggs Benedict over crab cakes. It was spectacular. Service was freindly and fast. We are from out our town (California) so it was great to find a new place we can frequent when we visit family in the area."

"Overall experience was great! Staff was very friendly. Had more issues with other customers. Table were a little close and people were plan rude when it came to getting by. Actually had one woman demanded to get through, and she could have walked around the table. An "excuse me" and "Please and Thank you" go a long way. Other than that, we really enjoyed our experience."

"For an Easter brunch they were overbooked. We had a reservation for 5; they put us in the bar, next to the back door, at a table for 4 with an extra spot stuck on the end. The ladies had to wear their coats during their meal because it was so cold when the door opened. Food was very good but at that point, who cares."

"A great little restaurant with a casual and laid back atmosphere. We ate in the bar area which seemed to be a favorite of the local patrons. All of us enjoyed our dinner except for my husband who ordered the turkey dinner. He was undecided between that and the salmon. We got the impression from the waitress that the turkey entree was one of their specialty dinners, so maybe it was just a bad night."

"Thought the samon on plank shouldn't have skin in middle. I have ordered for years both for lunch and with clients or evening dinner. Can't remember skin before. Also billed for extra beer. But when I called the young ladie that answered was very courtious"

"This is our second timem at Bass Lake and will certainly not be our last. The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet night out and the food is outstanding. We went on the later side of a Friday night and were able to sit and truly enjoy without feeling rushed out."

"Food is consistently good, service is always great. Ambience better than most. Menu is small, but portions are good and food is very good. We always go back for more."

"One of my favorite restaurants for special occasions. No issues with the reservation. Got seated right away near the fireplace, like we requested.
I'm a frequent diner for those special events and for the first time I was disappointed in our meals. I had the surf & turf... and the surf was out of this world. The turf, well, let's just say it tasted like "turf" - a tasteless, tough, grainy selection of meat. Very disapointing. My wife also had steak that evening, and her's was not cooked well done as requested. They did get it right on the second try. She said it tasted fine though.
I'm not giving up on Bass Lake Inn. I just want them to know that customers expect more for a $120 for two meal. Don't take shortcuts."

"Would have been quieter except for the large group seated next to us. They were more bar type folks so it was a little louder when they were there. I would think they would put larger parties upstairs or away from quiet diners. I read the dress code as "dressy". My husband and I were clearly overdressed as most were in jeans and sweaters. There were a few people in dress pants, etc., however I would not classify the dress as "dressy". More nice casual."
