Buca di Beppo - Southlake
Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds up to two and BUCA LARGE feeds up to four. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our décor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. "Had a nice time at the Southlake Buca di Beppo for Mother's Day.
I brought my wife and our three kids, the in-laws and my mom; and they set us up at two tables next to each other.
May have been a bit better had they pulled the tables together; as this would have made passing food around easier, but it worked okay anyway.
The mixed green salad w/ Gorgonzola and prosciutto is the family favorite, and we order two large salads for our table of eight.
We ordered two large garlic bread and cheese as appetizers, and both were great and large helpings.
Entrees were large spaghetti w/ meatballs and large spicy chicken rigatoni.
Both were great, and everyone had a great time."

"We had great food and friendly waiters but they disappeared for long periods of time and forgot what we had asked them to bring. It was busy but there were open tables. The noise level was hard to talk over."

"I took my wife to celebrate Mothers Day and the entire evening was absolutely perfect. We arrives 10 minutes prior to our reservation and were seated right on time. When we were seated, they walked us thru the kitchen so we could see everything. It was a little different but actually very enjoyable. I saw an appetizer being prepared and it looked so tempting that I ordered it. The service was great and as for the food, it too was very good, but be warned, there's so much food that everyone leaves with a doggie bag. We ate so much and yet our bag still weighed about 5 pounds.
I would recomend this place to anyone, the only thing left to say is that you get what you pay for and as I said you get alot."

"Not a great experience. It was WAY too loud there. Our service was not great, getting our drinks refilled seemed to be near impossible. I made reservations for 6 people, 2 weeks ahead of time, and they still stuck us in a booth that should not hold more than 5 people."

"We are planning an event and wanted to "sample" several different dishes. The waiter and manager were very helpful, allowing us to order lunch size portions. By the way, they were all delicious.

That had 2 loud and rambunctious children. The grandmother and father did
Not seem to care that they were disturbing us, but the booth directly behind them.
We had our 8yr old with us who remained seated and never spoke higher than
A whisper. I don't find it fair that my well behaved child whom we take pride in being
Able to take to ANY restaurant, couldn't understand why they were so
Mis-behaved. Shame on the parent/grandparent, but shame on Buca for not asking
Them to keep their children from climbing all over the booth and keep their voices
Down. For the $125 we spent, I could have gone to any other restaurant in southlake
And had a quieter meal at"

"We took my son and his family on a Tuesday night. We had an infant with us and we were seated in a room with other people with children which removed the stress of eating out with a baby. We ordered bread as an appetizer and it did not arrive promptly because it was taken to another table. When the manager found out (not from us), they brought us bread, comped it and added a salad as well.
The manager happily took care of a situation that was no fault of the waiter, with no one in our party alerting him. That is an excellent way to run a business and foster good employees. Customer service others should model after. We will be back.
Give that manager a raise"

"The stuffed mushrooms were very good. However, the spaghetti with meatballs was terrible. Meatballs were great. There was not enough sauce, and what sauce was there was watery. It was bad enough that I probably will not return to this restaurant. It is a shame too, because I have eaten at this chain in San Diego and Washington, DC without problems."

"We had a great server, Nathan, who was very knowleageable of the food and how it was prepared. The staff was all very friendly. Food was fantastic, their small would feed 3 people easily. The decor is fantastic. So many different pictures. It is our favorite place to go for great Italian food. I would recommend it fo a romantic date, especially the kitchen booth."

"We took our daughter for Valentine's Day. We had a coupon/email stating if we booked we would receive $10 towards our next visit and have not received it yet.
The service was fine for Valentine's Day. It was not as attentive as a usual night. We were seated and the two tables seated after us were greeted, drink orders taken and drinks received before anyone stopped by our table at all. We had to ask for our drink from the bar twice before receiving and therefore only ordered one!"

"Had a 6PM Valentines Day reservation and arrived early. We were sat at a table in the bar area, not the dining room area. Their blender was such a nice add to the conversation my wife and I were trying to have. I have always liked Buca for its entertaining atmosphere, but they need to be more thoughtful on seating people when it's clear the reason they are attending the restaurant. There were multiple tables open in the dining area outside of the bar. I guess I have grown used to restaurants that understand the client more and do not require coaching while being seated.
I was also disappointed that their wine selections were not so good. Only two Cabs offered and the Malbec was sold out. None of the options were great."
