Buca di Beppo - Minneapolis
Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds up to two and BUCA LARGE feeds up to four. At Buca, guests delight in our lively atmosphere, enjoy the classic tunes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and admire our décor, including family photos and candid shots of Italian-American icons, such as Sophia Loren and Joe DiMaggio. "I have been here a number of times with my husband and we love it usually! But this time was quite different...I took my mom here for Mother's Day at 12:15, typically a busy time of course. But the restaurant was not packed when we got there, which I thought would mean a decent amount of attention for my mom on this special day. But I was wrong! Our server barely spoke to us, didn't go into detail about the dishes, seemed rushed, and we had to ask random other servers for things we needed. She only came around once to just quickly ask how it was going. My mom loves chatting with servers and is just the nicest lady, but we didn't get greeted as such. I was disappointed. We ate the chicken parm. and it was soggy and unfortunate."

"At Happy Hour we made a reservation via the mobil app....showed up to discover it was prom night central.....and that was fine....very energetic, kids were having fun and it was nice to see the place accommodate the groups of prom parties. Food was fine, egg plant parmesan was nice, had the fruit de mare and that was good as well....not fine dining, but good solid dishes, great service and a nice wine list. Not a place we go to often, but when in the mood for family style old school italian, it cannot be beat....and the decor is so much fun....that alone makes it worth going."

"I went here for an office party, and although we had reservations for 4:45pm (for only 5 people) it took them about 10-15 min to seat us. The restaurant was half empty, what was the point of the reservation? Beyond that the service was good-- but nothing to write home about. Food was tasty and there was plenty of it. It was a decent place, though next time we'll go elsewhere."

"I have been to other Bucas before and loved it. This one had a very large group there 20-30 people at the table next to us so the service wasn't great and our food was rushed. The noodles weren't done cooking and they ran out of mushrooms.
I'm assuming this was just a one time problem and would still recommending giving it a try. It's just too bad I was celebrating my birthday that day."

"Great service, a gal whose name I forget. She was honest and very informative. Her service was great. Food was good. Not the best Italian in town but tasty none the less. "It's been down in the basement of an old building probably since before the building was built. It's a very light taste of gangster-Italian. Buca, while now a chain, still seems best-experienced in this relative-dive location. Ask for the lunch menu at dinner unless you actually want family-size portioning."

"We used to really enjoy Buca, especially how flavorful their good was. However, the last couple of times we've gone, the food has been downright bland, nearly without flavor. We had the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni, usually one of our favorites, but we might as well have been eating Easy Mac. Same for the three meatballs: only a hint of their usual herb flavor. And even the margaritas were bland. Like I said before, we had the same experience a few months ago at a different location. All of that having been said, the Apple Crostata for dessert was quite delicious. Unfortunately, Buca has fallen significantly from the top of our list."

"Overall it was a bad experience. The saddest part was the manager knew it and did nothing about it. There was a party of teenagers that he was more focused on than the adults in the room. The whole reason for my visit was because of my niece's 17th birthday and that was not acknowledged during the reservation process after mentioning it online or during my interaction with the hostess."

"We were a party of 8. A big group, yes, but when we make a reservation, shouldn't they have a table ready or close to ready? We had to wait 30 minutes to be seated despite our reservation.
It seems like there was not enough wait staff for the number of customers they had. It took a long time to get our order in. It seems like our waitress was never around.
The food was good. Even the kids liked it all."

"We were very disappointed with Buca's. Our reservation was for 7pm. They were already out of garlic mashed potatoes! In my opinion, that is what they do best! We felt like we were being rushed, and the waitstaff seemed very disorganized. This is a yearly party we've been hosting at Buca's for ten years That tradition will be changing next year."
