Buca di Beppo serves authentic Italian cuisine in an eclectic, vintage setting. Our dishes are served family-style, meant to be shared by everyone at the table. Two sizes are available: BUCA SMALL feeds up to two and BUCA LARGE feeds up to four. "Buca di Beppo was found when we were going to the movies. We could smell the magnificent aroma of the marinara and other wonderful dishes coming outside of the restaurant. We have yet to find a dish we didn't like. The service is fabulous and the atmosphere is like being back in Italy. When we are in Honolulu traveling from the Big Island this is a must do restaurant."

"This was my first visit to Buca di Beppo in Kaka'ako. I took a close friend there for a Mother's Day lunch. Service and food were excellent - we ordered eggplant parmigiana, pasta, apple salad and cannoli. I can also recommend the cream soda! The decor and ambiance are generally very good but the noise level was much too high. It was hard to carry on a conversation. This might be a good place for a large group or a party, but not if you're hoping to catch up on news with your friends. However, the food was excellent! The eggplant and the salad were especially delicious. Portions are huge so we had plenty of leftovers. I will definitely go to this restaurant again and hope it will be quieter next time."

"If you love Italian food then you will love Buca di Beppo! All family style dishes which means. Order a couple of things and the family is set on food. The hardest part is going be deciding what you want to eat because it's all so good! We always find ourselves getting the Eggplant Parm. We tried the sausage and peppers for a side dish this last time and it was wonderful! All I have to say is give it a try and you will be hooked!"

"Shame on me for not investigating a restaurant more thoroughly before I went. We went with family that had been there before. I did not realize that they serve food "family style". That would be okay if they had individual options also. The choices for main courses were small to serve 2 or large to serve 4 or more. My wife and I don't usually agree on our entree so how stupid is the idea that we can't order our own food without having a gigantic portion and waste food!
We compromised on the stuffed shells. They would have been okay if they had not come to the table luke warm. The house salad was tasty in a generic way with a decent dressing.
I will not be returning."

"Our server was awesome...She was personable, helpful and jovial. It was our anniversary, so she took extra care to make us feel "honored", and was very informative of the menu. I wanted something a little different from the menu, and she eagerly accomodated my request. She was helpful to my husband in making his local beer choice. The one thing I was not too fond of was the roving photographer. Not the idea of the photography, but this one in particular seemed to have difficulty understanding English and you had to repeat every question you asked her, and she was devoid of personality. All in all, this was a great experience with great food and dynamic service."

"It's a good restaurant. I've been to their restaurant in Summerlin, NV. They are the same: large portions, interesting decor, vibrant atmosphere. One annoying factor: they chant some sort of verse for birthdays. It's loud, makes no sense, and, after hearing it several times around you during the meal, becomes annoying."

"This was my 2nd time to Buca di Peppo. We went for Easter Sunday brunch. We had a booth reserved for 10 people, thankfully 3 people did not show up as we would have not been comfortable with 5 people on each side! The waiter was great, professional, friendly and running around for all his tables. The food was good, just like the first time I had eaten there. One uncle said it's his favorite place to eat out, and he doesn't really like to eat out, so that's saying a lot. The portions are huge, of course. Everything we ordered was really tasty except the lasagna, but I have not had an impressive lasagna in any Italian restaurant on Oahu."

"Our first visit as a family was on Valentines Day. We had reservations at 7:30pm and ended up showing up a half an hour early. We expected to wait at least a half an hour but we were seated within 5 minutes. We had an unexpected and super cool walk through the kitchen. The staff was friendly as we walked through a very busy but very organized kitchen. The food that the was on the line looked delicious. Our food was awesome too - the portions are huge! Loved everything."

"We had a great time at Buca. My friends didn't like that the Chicken Marsala was sweet instead of savory. At least the chicken was cooked properly & was not dried out. My favorite was the Quatro formaggio. All four dishes were great! I would order that again for sure! The Shrimp Florentine was ok also. Too bad we didn't have room for dessert!
I'm planning a birthday party at Buca next month, I hope I will be able to book a large party thru Open Table!!!"

"Many years in restaurant biz as manager and family owned two restaurants, will likely own one myself in few years. This restaurant was one of my favorite ones I have seen in the last five years, simply excellent. Food was very good, aura was excellent, service was good, and the concept was stellar! Love it, already preaching to my fellow military friends and telling them to go visit and I guarantee I will again very soon. Great job!"

"The food is very tasty. Good value. They actually notice you are on a lunch break so, the food is prepped quickly, but still plated nicely. Because the place is so big, they are able to seat people in different areas so the noise level is low. Very pleasant ambiance. All around a great place to eat."
