"Our server Michael was great. Very professional and attentive. Too bad about the food! The chicken limone was undercooked, andoyou could taste the flour. The manicotti was dry and tough. The mozzarella caprese was delicious. This did not seem to be a restaurant for two people to eat in, as the portions were much TOO LARGE, and doggy bags were not an alternative as we were on vacation."

"I would not recommend this resturant to anyone. The service was great. Servers friendly you get a little tour on your way to your table. Lots of pictures to look at. The food however was worse than blah! We order 3 different dishes and I'm telling you my 9 yr old could have made something better with what we had at home. I was very very disappointed. Mostly because it was my daughter's 15th birthday and we had our whole family grandparents included out to enjoy dinner which we hardly ever do. I felt bad because I had heard it was a great family style restuarant and I recommended we try it. I'm sorry but we will never go here again and I will never suggest it to anyone."

"This was my first time here and I was not very impressed with the pasta dish we ordered. I took some important clients to this restaurant and we ordered several dishes. The chicken dish was well cooked and flavorful. When the Shrimp pasta dish came it was a a wonderful sight but that is all it was. It was very bland. I could not taste any of the garlic. I hardly put salt on my food at a restaurant but every person on the table had to use it on this dish. It just didn't taste like anything. The caraffe of sangria was also very bland...just no flavor to it at all. I could not tast the mixture and it was like drinking watered down wine. I was truly dissappointed in this meal and after spending almost $200.00 it wasn't worth it."

"The food was awesome at Buca di Beppo. Ambience was a little loud but acceptable. The service on the other hand was a bit desireable. Our waiter was very courteous but the bus boys were very rude and adamant to clear the plates when we were not done eating as if they wanted to finish and clear the table. Other than that the restaurant was pretty good and again great food. I will recommend this but watch out for the bus boys as they will take the plate right away off the table."

"My family and I have been to the place 2 years ago on our visit to Orlando. We had a great time the food was pretty good. This time around, not so much. We order a shrimp, spinach and pasta dish along with the chicken marsala. Not great at all - the pasta was over cooked and had no taste. The marsala - is you a like sweet and sour sauce this is the dish for you. That's not how we do marsala in NY, maybe it's a southern thing!

"Four of us spent over $200 with the tip and I thought the house wine was over priced, we had a large chopped salad a brochette a large chicken parm and the surprise was that we ordered a large braised rib and there was only 3 pieces of meat with 4 people. "Had reservations and seated promptly, but that was it. It was not busy, but ordering was slow. We ordered drinks, waited, bread brought, no drinks, and waited. Got up to get plates for our table. Drinks came and then requested a refill on bread. Bread came and was sat on another table which already had bread and table look up puzzled. Now Bucca was out of bread and had to wait. Finally we were able to get some bread with our meal and drink refills. The one couple behind us even stated they were not coming back again. Prices have went up for dinner. We usually go to Bucca several times a year and have seen the service quality slowly go down hill. Coupled with the price increases, it will move down on our list of places to go."

"We have eaten here a few times in the past and had always had very good meals and service. On this night, part of our order included Bucca lasagna but were informed 5 minutes after we ordered that they were OUT of both large and small lasagna for at least two hours. It was a Saturday night at 5:30pm!! We came up with a quick substitute of manicotti, only to find that it and another dish were later brought to us somewhat cold. Because we had a large group and didn't want to make waves, I looked past it but even my daughter leaned over and said, "Mom, is your food cold too?".
Our waiter, while enthusiastic, seemed rushed and didn't multi-task well. Overall, I'll return but am hesitant to reccommend it until I can try it again."

"If you are looking for Italian don't be misled by the name. Despite all of it's decorations with an Italian flair the food falls far short. Commercial at best is what I would have to rate the entrees. Dined there twice an it went from fair to poor failing both times to truly represent Italian food. Most courses were overcooked and lacked the proper ingredients (i.e. no cheeses in the baked ziti just crusty noodles).Management must learn the difference between quanity and quality."

"Made res for 7:15p-not sat till 8p. Hostess definately messed up our res. Kept telling me they are checking on it. Waiter did not bring some items ordered. Had 3 beers on check but never brought 3rd one. Asked to have it taken off bill, he ran to the bar and got it and put it on the table. I am sure it was to keep his tip up. Never asked for dessert, when we ordered, it took 25mins to bring 2 orders of canollis. Dropped off check, then didnt come back for it for 15mins. I had extensive back surgery 2 weeks ago and it was my first time out. With not feeling well or strong enough, it made my daughter and grandaughters birthday celebration the worst ever!!"

"While I have been very, very critical of this restaurant in past reviews, Buca certainly restored my faith on Saturday. We were sat immediately upon entering the restaurant. The hostess was extremely friendly. Our waitress, Michelle, greeted us and welcomed us back to the restaurant. The service was very good this time out. Our order was taken promptly and we didn't have to listen to twenty minutes of upsell pitches which was refreshing. The food came quickly but not so quick that we couldn't enjoy the fresh baked bread. Drinks were refilled perfectly and the bill was left so we didn't have to wait and beg for it. I told the manager that it was a PERFECT lunch and he thanked us for stopping by."

"For our anniversary dinner, I requested a booth in the bar area where we have dined many times before and have enjoyed tremendously. Unbeknownst to us, the booths were removed just 3 days earlier and replaced with family style tables! There were just 3 booths remaining in the back area - two were regular size and one was a very large booth which could seat at least 8 people. We were disappointed a booth was probably out of the question because they were all occupied. After a 30 minute or so wait to our surprise we were seated at the large booth in the back! The atmosphere was romantic, the service top notch and the food and wine fabulous! Thank you Buca di Beppo for coming through for us :)"

"We were sitted after 45 min of arrival on the way to the table another server had taken our table we were sat with only one menue to share had to ask for more then the food tooj more than an hr and two orders were wrong my youngest feel asleep didnt get to eat cause it took so long and my second oldest child was the last one served 1 1/2 hrs after being sitted and ordered and it was a simple pizza we had to ask for bread because none was offered being an italian restairant were we had dinned before we expected it and we had to ask for silver ware wich took 20 min to bring. Not a plesant valentines evening"

"Definition of family style dining, the atmosphere is loud, stimulating, and filled with Italian charm. Portion sizes are LARGE, despite all the warnings given about portion size, we were still blown away. We had a basic meal for four including 1 order of garlic bread, 1 large mixed green salad, and 1 large spaghetti marinara - we ended up taking half of the food home! Each dish had a signature uniqueness that made it special. I am from south Louisiana where QUALITY of food ranks supreme. This establishment has taken dressings and sauces to an art form. Very casual and enjoyable!"

"We went here for valentine's day, and even with all the people out and about it was fairly fast service for seating, food arrival, etc. We learned something too, don't eat anything that isn't pizza or pasta. At least for us the chicken that night didn't taste like something from a decent restaurant but instead it tasted cheap. However the spaghetti was delicious. This is a restaurant that serves family style, but splitting something with one other person still works too. You would just end up with some leftovers."

"Bucca is a fun place to dine. the decor is interesting and leads to conversation openers. the one thing that we would change if we could was the flow of the air conditioning blowing directly on the food causing it to become cold quickly ...before we could finish. We thought of asking for it to be reheated (who likes cold pasta). What a shame."
