"I work in the area and have eaten at just about every restaurant within a mile radius and RCC was one of the most expensive places. It cost 160 (with the tip) for lunch at a cafe. We had a burger and a salad with a drink each and we shared an app. Thats over the top pricing even for touristy midtown. Nice outdoor space but be prepared for sticker shock."

"Our fries were lukewarm (while my 3 yr old daughter's were piping hot), their amazing burger of 5yrs ago has changed, now you are charged extra for toppings. Our service was practically non-existent (maybe due to the fact that we had children? I'm sure they weren't that slow with the business people). Water was poured for all the adults at our table, but not the children - they were offered nothing. The hosts at the door were the best part of the lunch - very helpful and kind."

The service is wonderful, and the food is surprisingly good. It is just a shame that there aren't more vegetarian-friendly items on the menu. "Aside from the fact that this restaurant allows a view of the skating rink, everything else was sub par. The older balding rude waiter was snarky, unfriendly, unaccommodating and clearly does not understand the premise of good customer service. A simple question about the option to substitute a common variety of cheese was answered with ( insert attitude here) "Uh, No, we can't do THAT". I mean he really couldn't have actually checked with the kitchen or said it nicely...something to the effect of "I'm sorry, we do not have that type if cheese, but we do have...."
Overpriced with terrible service. The fact that the restaurant was nearly empty at 8pm during Spring Break while there was not a table to be found in the food court is bad!"

"This restaurant was great. We had reservations and arrived a little early, they were very accommodating. We requested a window seat and that is what they gave us. We had seats directly on the ice skating rink. It was amazing to watch the ice skaters while we ate delicious food. The filet was excellent and the beans and sausage was amazing. Would definitely go back!!! Highly recommended."

"Rock Center Cafe was a phenomenal choice to kick off a birthday trip to NYC. We went with the Dine Skate promotion, which included our 3 course meal and VIP tickets for skating at the Rockefeller rink. This was a great decision and well worth the price paid. Right from arrival, we were met with good service (not great- but good). The price fixed Dine Skate menu was great, with plenty of options, and everything tasted great (and came out in a timely manner.) The atmosphere was fantastic, quiet and romantic, with a beautiful view of the rink. Overall, the Rock Center Cafe was great, and well worth the money."

"This is such a perfect place to have a business lunch with out-of-town folks who want to experience Rockefeller Plaza and the skating rink, etc. The service is excellent -- Attentive without being intrusive, and it's quiet enough to talk but noisy enough to not feel self-conscious of every word you say. We both had the Chicken Paillard and it was simple but delicious with a generous portion. It would be great for lunch with an old friend where you want to talk and catch up, too."

"I expected a much nicer restaurant based on the prices and location. The restaurant was nearly empty on a Friday night, yet it still was noisy--probably on account of every voice bouncing off the solid floors and glass walls. The service was fair, although our waiter brought my entree and then bolted out of sight before I could ask for a fork. I had to steal one from another table. The food was ok--nowhere near what I would expect for the price, but acceptable. Without the view, I doubt that this restaurant would stay in business."

"fI wish the food was half as good as the view. Prices much too high for such ordinary menu.. Scrambles eggs were overdone, bacon was tough, coffee was cold. Cheesecake hit the mark but not enough too save the meal!"

"Went there for a Valentine's lunch with two very little ones (ages 2 and not quite 1). Very kid-friendly and parent-friendly menu. The ice rink kept the kids occupied so my wife and I could enjoy a meal together. Excellent service, excellent food. A bit pricey, but we expected as much."

"Outstanding for the combination of view and food, and reasonably priced for NYC. While the brunch menu was really just a combo of a handful of standard breakfast items merged with a couple of lunch/dinner items; the food was certainly above average. A little more creativity with menu items and it could be considered a true brunch. We did enjoy their breakfast items and would go there again. Service was very good."
