"N.Y.A.J has AMAZING service. The manager wanted to make sure the customers were having a good experience. I had a phenomenal waitress that day as well. I would defiantly recommend to anyone, and I will eat there again."

"All their dishes are creative and well made. Plus, if you are gluten free like my hubby, they are really on top of that. (Large menu and really understand how to prepare gluten free food) They will take special requests too. Food is always top quality and the service is excellent. The only "minor" complaint is they are popular and easily have an hour wait for dinner, so make a reservation!"

"It's great that NYAJs rejuvenates their menu but my friend and I were crushed to learn that the calamari dish was removed from appetizers, as well as the crab cakes. Instead we had the clam chowder which I would never have believed came from a chain restaurant... it was so good! I also tried the shrimp goat cheese pesto fettuccine. I found the shrimp to be unbelievably flavorful and cooked to perfection (this chef is good with seafood!) but the fettuccine was very oily and too heavy for my liking (personal preferences I suppose.) We always have awesome service and will definitely return again soon!"

"NYAJ puts a twist on standard fare and serves huge portions, changes the menu with the seasons. Make reservations or expect to wait on a busy evening. Midweek and early there isn't a problem. Service fantastic, wait staff anticipated needs and food arrived promptly."

"OUr pitcher of sangria arrived no problem but our food order apparently went AWOL. Thankfully our server did come and tell us that it would be a while and he apologized for the delay. Personally I think we should have been comped drinks or dessert. But the veggie burgers were worth waiting for, as usual."

"I've been going to NYAJ for some time. We work in Burlington and this is my restaurant of choice for any lunch expedition (meeting with out of town colleagues, lunch with friends, etc). It is reasonably priced always has great food. The menu & specials change frequently. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here which is why I keep going back!"

"NYAJ has a great separate gluten-free menu which was offered to us along with gluten-free rolls for one of the people in our party. Our server Kevin was very courteous and attentive, and when one of our dishes came with the wrong side, we waited mere minutes for it to be corrected. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and smiling. I had only been to the Joe's in Arlington before this, but I will definitely be visiting the Burlington location from now on!"

"We've been to the Arlington location lots; first time at Burlington. Excellent service, no problem substituting sides, and they split an entree and a salad for us. Cod dinner was excellent, cooked perfectly. Nice roast vegetables and green beans as sides. Waldorf salad not exciting, a bit gummy dressing and apples not visible. Overall very good."

"This was our first time at this restaurant for an early mother's day meal. The food and service were excellent. The scallops are amazing as was the strawberry shortcake- they make the biscuits fresh there - and it was definitely big enough for sharing. Husband liked the cajun jambalaya with chicken, shrimp and linguica and mom liked her sirloin tips. Definitely will go again!"

"We were seated promptly when we arrived. My wife and I shared a bottle of William Hill Chardonney. I had the Mona Lisa Chicken Salad, which I have had several times before and it was good as usual. My wife had a house side salad with grilled chicken added, as she wasn't as hungry as I was. Our server was Amy L, whom we have had before, and she was excellent. Managers Erin, Seth and Brian stopped by the table to make everything was all right, which Amy had already seen to. For dessert we shared a Strawberry Shortcake. NYAJ has by far the best strawberry shortcake biscuit; firm and crunchy, like a bakery store muffin. Looking forward to coming again."

"I can't say enough good things about the place. I've dined here probably 30 times over the last 5 years or so and a fantastic experience every time. One really positive aspect is that they will alter the various dishes to accommodate people with food allergies.
Note that, as with most great restaurants, they get busy at peak times and making reservations will help you avoid any wait."

"The Not Your Average Joe's in Burlington is a bright, cheerful place to eat. The shrimp fettuccine with goat cheese pesto was incredible, tasty and beautiful. The goat cheese made the pesto creamy so it stuck to the pasta and sugar snap peas, roasted corn and red grape tomatoes gave it color and snap. The server was friendly and efficient, and didn't rush us. There was a good selection of wines available, as well as some unusual desserts such as S'Mores Creme Brulee. Delicious!"

"Was a good place to celebrate son's birthday. Am also pleased you have gluten free menu for people like my wife. You need to emphasize the availability of the menu in your advertising and even your revues. My kids have been here several times and have yet to have a bad experience. There was only one minor problem to which I partially attribute the over sensitivity of my granddaughter. She says she founs a couple of hairs in her onion soup. Even if there weren't any the waitress quickly replaced the soup for my granddaughter. I still doubt there really was a problem.

"I love Not Your Average Joe's and was first introduced to it in Methuen at the Loop. My friends and I always chose to go there for dinner before attending a movie. I have recently discovered your restaurant in Burlington, and think I like it even better. The service and the food are outstanding."

"Good food but overpriced for the type of restaurant. Loud and not great for conversation. Next time, I will get a burger or sandwich although they too are pricey... A quick neighborhood restaurant should not cost $100 for dinner for 2."

"We always love NYAJ's, but this Burlington location is one of the best. We often meet here for family gatherings, and we are always treated fabulously by one of the best waitstaffs that has ever served me. Every waiter or waitress we've had has been exceptional -- personable, attentitive without hovering, and always willing to go above and beyond. The food is always good -- haven't had a single dish here that I didn't enjoy. If you don't know NYAJ's give it a try. Not a fancy place, but lots of excellent elements make it a special restaurant."

"The 7 of us (2 children) had a great time. The staff went out of the way to help meet my gluten free needs and when there was a problem with the pizza, they brought out an order of French fries to help tide us over. The food was tasty and in appropriate quantity."

"The wait staff are amazing. They know their menu well. They must try every item because they can always tell you their favorites, and the best thing about each. I asked about an item that was not on their lunch menu, and was told "no problem. We can make that for you." We also thought the food was even better than other NYAJ's we have visited."
