"I enjoyed the ease of making the reservation and the service was indeed outstanding for our group. Very prompt on refilling drinks and the appetizers, meals, and dessert all arrived without much of a wait. Nice crowd mixed with adult groups and families. My wife orders the Waldorf Salad with Chicken and has been getting it for years, so for those of you who are dieting, that seems to be a winner."

"My family & I were very disappointed with the food and service. We were surprised because the last time we were there it was good. I am not sure what changed. Our waitress was very nice, but overwhelmed. I don't know if they were short on staff or not. The portions small, especially the appetizers.

"I've been a fan of NAJ's (as we call the restaurant) for years. The food has always been fabulous, service typically supurb. I love how we can pretty much have any dish the way we want it.
Normally I give 5 stars for all. This time I had ordered the Farmhouse Sirloin with Polenta. Be it that i grew up with a true Italian family and have had polenta homemade since I was little, I'm a bit picky. It was overly buttery and salty in this dish. That would be my only complaint this time. I believe the saltiness was from the sauce that accompanied the dish. Polenta is by design suppose to complement anything it's with by magnifying the flavors. Unfortunately in this case it was salt."

"I always enjoy the food at NYAJ's. This visit was complimentary for me from the Email club for my B-day.....free entree and dessert. I have the Vietanese Salmon, was very good tasteful , well prepared and not too large a serving. I decided to try the soup special of the day.....not as good as the meal, rather disappointing (very unusual for Joe's). It was the Beef Barley soup....kind of salty, but more important...was very greasy. You could see it as a layer floating on the top of the bowl."

"While the waitress was pleasant enough, she took our order, then informed me that there was no asparagus available for the Chicken Oscar special. (Green beans were offered as a substitute.) My daughter asked for her salad dressing on the side, but it came on the salad. My mom's meal (steak w/garlic mashed potatoes) was very good she said. Half of the bread in the basket was stale, the other half moist and delicious. The chocolate molten cake was excellent. So it was just an o.k. experience, not horrible, but not outstanding."

"Pizza with sausage would have been good if it weren't for the sausage which tasted like it was freezer burnt. Jambalaya had right ingredients but the lack of robust cajun tasting rice wouldn't attract anyone to New Orleans even if it was Super Bowl weekend.
The Pain Killer missed the mark by adding chili pepper...Go to Foxy's in the BVI and taste what a REAL PAIN KILLER is...and...you won't need/want to serve a parody of this great classic.
Even though the manager took the pizza off the bill...thank you for the very nice gesture..don't think we'll be hurrying back to "Not So Close" Joe's."

"We loved our waitress. One of the things she did for us was surreptitiously find out what another diner ordered so I could order the same thing.
BTW, the chicken oscar was divine.
This particular evening we were at the restaurant for a long evening, but we never had a sense of being rushed off by the waitress."

"The Mac 'n cheese on the kids menu is child friendly, but they quickly exchanged it for a grilled cheese. The butterscotch pudding was not good at all, but otherwise it was nice for the family to eat out."
