"We arrived at 940pm for a 9pm reservation. Even though the kitchen closed at 10pm, the manager welcomed our party of 6 and let us stay as long as we wanted. Our server Danielle was excellent and extremely knowlegeable of the menu. The food, service, and atmosphere was exceptional and I would definitely recommend it for any occasion."

"I'd like to suggest that when there is a number of people sharing one desserty I think you should offer to put more ice-cream as there is never enouth (cinnamon sticks). I'd rather pay for the exta ice-ceram than not have enough (which is always).
I wanted to let you know that the chairs are really weaka dn wobbly.They need to be tightened or replaced. Also, one of the shades on a west side window was broken in the half way down posiiton. Some of our party had to dodge the setting sun for half the meal. When we requeted it be lowered we were told the shade was broken. If you know that in advance something should have been done to improvise a solution or it should be disclosed to the group being seated. I hope its been repaired."

"When I called for reservations for Mother's Day I was told there were no tables available for the time I wanted.So I checked on open table and was able to reserve at the time I desired. A little odd I thought.

"We always try to make a reservation ahead of time so we don't have to wait long. It's so easy. We love the bread and oil for dipping while we contemplate the menu at NYAJ. The NYA House Salad is fantastic and I'm a big salad snob. It's always tough trying to decide whether to go with an known favorite or try one of their new dishes. The serving sizes are perfect and we sometimes top if off with one of their fantastic dessert selections before waddling out of there. The staff is always friendly, smiling, helpful and right on the ball. My mother got me a gift card for NYAJ's a few years ago and we've been returning every since."

"Good place for lunch or dinner. Though it's a chain, it's still warm and friendly like a neighborhood place. The food was very good. There was a mix up with our order and our entree came before our appetizers. We cancelled the appetizers, but they gave us a free dessert to make up for it without us even having to ask. We have been to Not Your Average Joe's in Newburyport a few times as well as one other location meeting with these friends and each time it has been great. Your location in Medford was a perfect spot for all of us to travel to as some were coming from New Hampshire and some from Quincy, MA. The on line reservation was also appreciated.
