Superb, regional Italian cuisine with a Mediterranean flair. Specialties include award-winning homemade pastas, fresh Hawaiian seafood, prime steaks, veal, lamb, chicken, pork and signature dishes such as osso buco, as well as decadently delicious Italian desserts from their pastry chef.
Sarento's offers an excellent Happy Hour with signature cocktails and small plates at the bar from 5pm-8pm daily. Happy Hour goes until 10 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays!

"My wife and I wanted to celebrate our 44th anniversary somewhere we had not been to in Honolulu. Sarento's has a spectacular view of Honolulu looking both north and south. We ordered their Rack of Lamb and the Op ah fish dinner and they were both very good - the lamb was one of the best Rack of lambs we have ever had. The big surprise was the wine list. We brought our own wine and I was totally amazed they had the same wine on their wine list! Adding the corkage fee it came out to about the same price.
It was a wonderful evening; Our waiter and the staff went out of their way in serving us and I would highly recommend Sarento's to anyone looking for a special evening!"

"The view is outstanding and the service was great. I ordered sweep tiger shrimp scampi and it was salty and the shrimps were over cooked. It was also super fishy tasting too. My boyfriend ordered filet mignon and it was yummy. I was disappointed in my dish and for 30 dollars, it wasn't worth it."

"Sarento's was recommended by colleagues who had visited Hawaii frequently. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal (shrimp scampi and seafood diavolo). Food, service and the views were outstanding. The wait staff works as a team and were perfectly attentive Without being intrusive. Our second round of Mai-tai's were marginal - probably a bartender change - first round was good (hence the order of a second round). If you are visiting Honolulu, Sarento's should be on your short list of special places to dine!!"

"We celebrated my wife's birthday and was surprised by the fireworks show outside after dinner which was unexpected but wonderful just the same. The waiter insisted that this didn't occur on a week night, but I guess I took it as a great omen to another great year for her and us! Their Ossa Bucco was outstanding, and I would order it again! They also make a great Vesper Martini ala 007 style. I'll be back for more!"

"I really enjoyed this restaurant. I went for my anniversary and thought it was a perfect romantic dinner. The food was excellent, wine was great, and of course it wouldn't of been complete without the desert. The servers made great recommendations and were very attentive to our table. What really surprised me were the prices, they arent the typical waikiki prices! i definitely didnt mind paying what i did for this scrumptious dinner! Great place that I will be coming back to."

"Beautiful location. We made reservations for four, changed to six, which they could accommodate. At no time did they say an automatic gratuity of 18'% would be added. The check was given to us as one check, when it was clearly three couples who were there. They offered us a pen and calculator to divide the bill up, then went back and re did the three bills, then pointed out that an 18% gratuity was added. Pretty cheesy if you ask me.... They likely would have received a great tip of 18-20% anyway, had they provided accurate cheques to each couple in the first place, as the meal and service was good but at the end of a lovely evening to sort through a bill was not romantic.... In addition they still overcharged for one salad $14.00"

"Had a wonderful dinner. Excellent bar that made our drinks to our specifications. Started with Oysters which were delicious. We shared the Caprese salad which was different than salads I have had at ither Italian restaurants. The added gnocchi was great. I had the Chicken rigatoni and my date had the Beef filet Mignon. The Beef Filet came with a cup container with the most exquisite mac and cheese you have ever had. Both dinners were excellent.
Could not have been a better dinner. The sunset was beautiful. The help will trained. You should not miss an opportunity to dine here."

"The location is great. It's easy to find and has ample parking available. The view from the restaurant itself was also wonderful. It has a very nice romantic setting. The service was very good. The staff that helped us for the evening were very welcoming, polite and made very good suggestions on food and cocktails. The taste of the food was fantastic; lots of flavor. The price of the food was a little pricey in comparison to portion size (for the appetizers, but the main entrees were ok). It had a nice atmosphere; very inviting. I can see myself returning for another nice meal with my boyfriend, and even with friends."

"The venue and service were impeccable. Watching sunset over Waikiki was special. The five individual booths are special and romantic. Our three servers were very attentive, perhaps to a fault. The wine list is extensive but expensive. There are some very special wines present, with very high price tags. We split their signature salad. It was great. At the servers recommendation I had the pork chop and my wife had the veal. Both were greasy and tasteless. The disappointment was palpable. Neither of us finished our meal. Overall, the Sarento is in a classic Oahu location in one of the grand hotels of Waikiki with great ambiance. Try the fish. Perhaps, they are better with fish than meats. Or better yet, have a cocktail and enjoy the view."

"Sarento's is a very special restaurant for my husband and I. We go there on Valentines Day and our wedding anniversary every year. We always ask for a booth facing the sunset to enjoy the beautiful view as we dine!. the food is always great, the service is impeccable, but we go there especially for the romantic ambiance. This time we took our waiter Q's recommendation, an osso bucco potsticker. It was fabulous! We will continue to make our annual visits to Sarento's for our special occasions. I hope they are there forever! We ♥ Sarento's!"

"After reserving via OpenTable, I called the restaurant to ensure we had a nice romantic table as it was our anniversary. they initially tried to stick us in a back room that was anything but romantic. After a few words with the hostess, we got an acceptable table and the table service was very good. Sarento's seems to rely on view and tourist trade, so be aware. The Bar was great, and we had one appetizer while waiting. I would recommend anyone visiting Honolulu to have a drink and probably eat else where."

"Great fine dining 30 stories up, triangular restaurant with views of Waikiki all around. Great menu, very good food, prepared just right, plenty to fill you up. Service was excellent, waiter explained menu well, there when needed without hovering. A wine list to complement menu with price points for all. The view all around makes this restaurant a stand-out. "Pretty cheesy ambiance, uninspired menu stuck in the 70's. The ahi bruschetta showed up on white bread slices - and the ahi wasn't fresh tasting. My "rack" of lamb showed up as lamb chops and were overpowered by an overly sweetend dried frutis medley sauce. There are only a few tables with the "good" view. Service was slow. The cocktails were decent though...."

"First went to Sarento's for Happy Hour on our first night while we decided where to go for dinner. Beer selection and appetizers so exceptional we made that our dinner. Service first rate; Friendly & knowledgeable. Food: Inventive & well-executed. Returned second night with business group and management handled the last minute group with a real can do attitude. On last night (third visit in a week) had best Oso Buco I can remember. Excellent wine list with numerous older wines reasonably priced. Will return on next trip. Highly recommended."

"I had the veal and my fiancée had the osso bucco. Both were outstanding. The little gnocchi that come with caprese salad we to die for - and the salad was great too. Our waiters were helpful and polite - even to the cranky couple next to us. Tuesday night is jazz night so the bar area was hopping. We asked for, and were given, a quieter table at the back which was fabulous for us. Great night out!"

Perfect filet mignon with a truffled mac and cheese. Double stuffed pork chop was amazingly tender. The only suggestion - the kitchen staff was very loud. The wait staff was excellent. "The service was very slow. We had a reservation, but had to wait 15 min to be sat. Then our waiter/server took forever to get our wine. Then when we finally got to order it took an hour for us to get our food.
The food was delicious though, when we did get it. =)"
