"The place was lovely, the service was good. We were seated immediately for our reservation. But... the prime rib was pretty bad. Two of us ordered it medium. When it came it was very brown. I don't usually send things back, but this time we did because it did not look the least bit appetizing. They were gracious and apologetic and did in fact bring us back medium prime rib, but neither of us really enjoyed it. Prime Rib is usually "melt in your mouth" tender, but this was mushy and chewy. Edible but not at all like prime rib. My son had a steak which he enjoyed but wouldn't rave about it. Two others had burgers which they descibed as ok, but again nothing to rave about."

"This was a return visit for us and we enjoyed the evening as always. We both got the sirloin steak and ale special for Fridays and were quite impressed with the quality and portions; a great value dor the money. The steak was done to our liking and served with a choice of sauces. The main dining room was quiet enough for conversation even though every table was occupied. The service was efficient and we were not rushed thru our meals."

"We tried Delaney's Grill for Easter Brunch this year, but unfortunately found it disappointing. The Mimosas were not made with real orange juice. It seemed like something reconstituted (like Tang). The main dish buffet selections were okay. My husband really enjoyed the short ribs, but otherwise we didn't find anything special about the offerings. In fact there was no hot dish that was all vegetables. It also lacked good fruit. The sundae bar was enjoyed by the kids, but the rest of the desserts were rather unremarkable. I have read great reviews about their grill for dinner, so maybe this is where they shine, particularly in light of how much my husband enjoyed the short ribs."

"We had dinner reservations for two on Saturday night. While we had to wait near the entrance for our table to be "flipped," another party of two came in without reservations and were immediately seated at a prime table by the front window. Our table was off to the side against a wall. The tables are somewhat large and it is difficult to carry on a conversation because of the noise level. The prime rib dinner was disappointing. The meat was tough and chewy and we were not offered a steak knife which makes cutting through a tough piece of meat difficult. I left most of my dinner on the plate. We wanted to have a drink in the bar, however there there was no room. We will not return."

"I ordered the stuffed shrimp add-on and it was really disappointing. The shrimp (2) were curled up under a flattened mound of tasteless stuffing. It did not have the delicious garlic buttery taste that most stuffed shrimp have, the tails were left on, which is fine with a butterfly stuffed shrimp, but in this case the shrimp was simply place curled on the plate and the stuffing put on top of the whole shrimp. It was dry and really terrible. The rest of meal was OK."

"Unfortunately our group was seated in a back room with nothing to look at but walks and two other tables. Also there was a door you had to open each time and with a self service brunch, it wasn't exactly easy...however if the doors were propped open, your view would be of the waiters stand/kitchen. We had terrible seats."

The server wass very attentive and very well mannered.
Food was wonderful!
Only complaint that I have was that music for such a small space in the lounge was far to loud and carried into the dining room. Could at times not hear myself think.

"The whole experience from beginning to end was very hospitable. Staff was friendly and quick to refill the deliciously refreshing mimosas. At one point, some folks from a table across the room started to play the piano that was in the room. It was very smooth and relaxing, definitely fit the ambiance."

"We live in Atlanta and while visiting family in MA, we dined at Delaney's. What a pleasant surprise! Food was delicious, service was excellent, they stocked the prefered liquor (we have trouble with that sometimes - my husband likes top shelf whiskey/bourbon), and it was a lovely setting. "Great service, great food. They had an awesome performer playing the accordion and the lighting was perfect for the Valentine's dinner. Recommend the veal plate, it was cooked and dressed to perfection. Complimentary valet parking, coat check, the whole nine yards and everyone working there was a pleasure. The coat lady, whose name I forget, was an absolute gem. Definitely hit Delaney's if you get the chance."

"Food was hit or miss. Samosas were excellent, but the calamari was tough and desiccated. Our appetizers were extremely late in arriving to our table. Our serverwas very friendly, however, and was proacxtive about adjusting our bill. Main courses were decent and the deserts were unremarkable. For the price, though, the meal was awful and we will not be coming back."

"All in all, I would say we had a good experience having Sunday brunch at Delaney Grill. Based on my dinner experiences there in the past, I was expecting something more special (which was not the case for brunch), but we still enjoyed it overall.
On the good side - so many choices! Much more than you see at an average brunch. And well staffed.
On the down side - the food didn't seem well cared for. The pancakes? Several were hard, and they weren't very tasty even if you got one that was soft. Ditto on the belgian waffles. Some of the breads were stale, like the croissants."

"While we booked our reservation several days in advance, we had to wait almost 20 minutes to be seated. While service started out well, we were ignored after salads were served. We never had a chance to request additional dressing and, in fact, did not see our server until after our main course was served. We ordered veal osso bucco, but received what appeared to be more like a boiled dinner served in a ceramic frying pan. Very disappointed! We will not be returning any time soon."
