Located in a historic, 120-year-old Victorian home in the heart of Breckenridge, the Hearthstone Restaurant, has been a locals' favorite since 1989 for wild game, fresh seafood, and hand-cut steaks all creatively prepared by our talented culinary team.

"I'd highly recommend Hearthstone to anyone thinking about fine dining in Breckenridge. The restaurant is set in an old house, which makes for a great ambiance and is elegant, yet casual. The food was great! My wife had the filet and it was possibly her favorite steak ever! I had the lamb chops, which I found enjoyable, but slightly lacking in flavor, They were, however, cooked perfectly so I'm not sure if the flavor was more based upon my expectation or not. Either way, I was pleased with the meal overall. The service was fantastic! Melia was our waitress and she was great as was the other staff who helped whenever they saw an empty plate or whatever. It's pricey, but worth it. We will definitely be going back on our next trip!"

"We really enjoyed our first dining experience with the Hearthstone. Reservation are recommended. My wife and I were seated at the front of the restaurant with a beautiful view of the mountains and sunset. Wine list is extensive, and our food was exceptional. Unforgettable!!!"

"We always have a great experience at Hearthstone, and go here every year while in town. This year we were disappointed that they had run out of the rack of lamb by 7:30PM though. Especially good were the crispy lobster appetizer, and the baked Brie. For the meal my son thought the prime rib was "the best I ever had" and the elk was excellent as was the bass. Buffalo ribs were good, but a bit bland according to my other son. We'll be back next year for sure."

"We were told there was no availability since we did not have a reservation. We walk outside made a reservation on OpenTable and then called to confirm. We walked back in 20 minutes later and talked to the same hostess and told her we had a reservation now. The look on her face was priceless, but she made a comment to another hostess that she told someone to block off OpenTable earlier. Accommodations were made for us. We waited over an hour for our food and when it arrived it was average. They were out of some items due to it being the end of the season they said. We were not impressed and we will not be returning."

"This is the third time we have dined at the Hearthstone and, as always, it was an enjoyable experience. Learning from previous occasions we shared both starter and sweet, leaving ourselves pleanty of room for the main course (Elk and Lamb, both excellent).
Service was attentive yet not overpowering, the wine extremely palatable.
Rest assured we will be back next time we visit Breck."

"Great dinner and flawless, enthusiastic service, as always. This has been one of our favorite restaurants in Breck for many years. My daughter had the scallops, which stole the show! Amazing. I had duck and my husband had perfectly cooked tenderloin. We had the special - muscles - for an appetizer and gobbled them up. The wine list is excellent. This is a beautiful restaurant, inside and out. It is fun to see it all lit up in the evening. It was all fantastic. We hope to go there for Christmas dinner next year."

"Great service and wonderful view of the beautiful mountains of Breckenridge. The bass was pretty good, however the filet was not cooked properly at all. It was requested to be medium-rare and was served at almost well done, I wouldn't even call it medium-well. That was very discouraging since out west people usually know how to cook their meat... but not here. Probably will not return due to the way off the mark cooking of this filet. Hopefully the chef will figure out sooner rather than later..."

"Hearthstone was set in a beautiful house and was a solid meal. I didn't love the lobster appetizer, but the soup was rather delicious. The scene stealer for us was the salted caramel ice cream...wow. You won't be disappointed if you go here."

"We always visit Hearthstone at least twice when we are in Breckenridge for a week. We had a wonderful dinner on Saturday evening and returned for the spectacular Happy Hour on Wednesday. We love the place....beautiful decor and friendly staff with delicious food!
We have a favorite table in the bar area that gives a fabulous view of Breckenridge through the lovely lighted trees in front of the restaurant."

"We were celebrating our anniversary, and were greeted with a complementary glass of bubbly. The menu is creative. I had ginger encrusted scallops with coconut rice that was simply delicious. My husband had the blackberry elk, and was amazed at how tender it was. The restaurant is in an old Victorian home and has a lovely view of the ski slope. Service was excellent, attentive but not hovering. We had a memorable evening."

"Hearthstone is one of my wife's and mine favorite restaurants we eat at! Not only is it very romantic the Servive and food is top notch. We always make sure that when we are celebrating a special occasion and our in Breckenridge we make it a point to dine at Hearthstone. We ave been dinning here for many years and consider Hearthstone to be the best restaurant in summit county! Whenever, anyone ask us were to dine in summit county Hearthstone is on top of our list!"
