"This was the 3rd time my wife and I were here, and like the first 2, everything was just excellent. The service was great. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and his suggests were right on. The Pumpkin Soup was not to sweet - and not to creamy - just right, just excellent. Their soup of the day, Carrot Ginger, a recommended choice, was really good. For the main course, I had the Homemade Orecchiette and my wife had the Grilled Portuguese Octopus. I don't like octopus, but I took her word her entree was just as good as mine, and mine was excellent. This is really one of Miami's finest! (And don't forget to leave room for dessert!)"

"The food is always special here, and it is so wonderful that we have Chef Mathieu and team here in MIami ! The staff is friendly and attentive, and always go out of their way to make a dinner at DB special.
The wine list is extensive, and they have great cocktails also. I would also HIGHLy reccommend that you try of of Chef Jeromes desserts --he is talented. BEST french fare in Miami."

"As always - everything was perfect. I am slowly working my way through the menu. So far, everything has been just delicious so it is silly to review what we ate. The waiters know the menu and if something sounds good to you, it will taste even better! We tend to eat early, so the restaurant is usually quiet and not filled with people."

"Food was excellent, consistent with ownership standards. But the service was less pleasing, with clunky presentations - bumping the forks and knives about while setting the plate, things like that - and accents a bit too thick for easy comprehension. All without much smiling. A real highlight was the deep, well-selected, friendly wine list, and a sommelier who really knew his stuff."

"Excellent from beginning to end. Bread is delicious--cheese filled with spices. Oysters au gratin were phenomenal. Duck confit was incredible. DB Burger was fantastic--cooked to perfection as we enjoy it medium rare. Burger came with air puffed fries which were amazing. Lemon tart and chocolate fondant were out of control as well. Service was impeccable. Valet is discounted at $10 which is charged on your bill."

"DB Bistro is getting better - they were great to begin with. I had the Beaufort Ravioli for an appetizer and next time is will be main main course. It' excellent. When you cat into the ravioli, the cheese just dripped out and it was excellent. My main course was Coq Au Vin with spaetzle. If you know what that is, it was done just right. My wife had the special mushroom soup. They waiter brought a small sample and after just sipping the spoon, she ordered it. It was excellent. For dinner, she had the griller Grilled Portuguese Octopus which were just as great as last time. The service didn't get any better from the last from time. But the service was regreat last time and there is no room to improve. It is pricy but worth the price."

"I went there because of the high reviews but after visiting the restaurant I believe that they all were paid for. There is nothing good about the place, no wonder it was empty on Friday night. The food is simply bad and overpriced and their wine by the glass are just tasteless."

"A very pleasant surprise. My wife, 18 year old daughter and I were looking for a break from the noise of the "Ultra" Music festival and decided to try this restaurant notwithstanding some of the reviews critical of the service and ambience. We found it to be perfect. It all starts with the food - we started with the charcuterie and a bottle of wine recommended by the sommelier. We could have spent all night talking and nibbling but moved on to mains. The lamb couscous and the red snapper were fantastic and the desserts were great. We all, including the 18 year old, really liked the ambience and the service was top notch - there when you needed them but not in your face. Highly recommend."

"High expectations may play a part in our disappointment. Rather than a special meal, the food was tired, the room was drafty and undistiguished, the staff was attentive but disinterested. The duck confit was particularly disappointing - a nice duck leg, but just warmed over without the crisp skin and deep flavors that make the dish a treat in many a Parisian bistro; vegetables were soggy. Just sad that a restaurant with a celebrity name is left untended, feeding average cuisine to hotel guests and tourists without evident care for return customers."

"We had a wonderful meal, the room is beautiful and the service is what you would expect at a high end restaurant. We were seated in one of the smaller side rooms and it was very nice until a table of 15 was seated and they were very having a good time but were very loud. We asked to be moved to the larger room and were quickly moved with no fuss and continued our wonderful meal and conversation. I can't wait to go back."

"A wonderful modern contemporary French restaurant. Gougeres (a savory cheese pastry) appears to greet you. The oriechette para with venison ragu was just insanely good. A ribeye frite was a great value and cooked flawlessly and they seemlessly permitted a substitution for the side. the roasted mushrooms, well they were special too. The sommelier was in this world and helpful. The entire experience is as chef Boulud is right there, watching! He was there that afternoon for the South Beach food festival and likely everyone was energized because he works, raher than markets like some other chefs named Todd or George!"

"Not for the faint of heart, wallet or menu wise! The wine list is immense and reasonable bottles are scant, but premier food dictates the price points. Service is attentive without being obtrusive, always a nice surprise. Order the charcuterie platter, you wont be sorry. db is gourmet dining at its essence, if you consider yourself a "foodie" just go."
