"I was extremely dissatisfied with Lola's Mexican Kitchen. We had a 11:30 a.m. Brunch reservation and arrived on time. The restaurant was completely closed up so we knocked on the door and waited several minutes for it to open and it did not. We ended up going across the street to the Hudson Grill and has a fabulous meal there. The restaurant eventually opened at about 11:45 a.m dispite their website claiming to serve brunch starting at 11:00 a.m. I will never try this lousy place again."

"Their salsa is DELICIOUS! Great location in the middle of downtown Stamford with a friendly and attentive wait staff, fresh ingredients for their entrees and the nice selection of desserts. They accepted my LivingSocial voucher with no hesitation. In looking around the dining area, I saw couples on dates and groups of friends catching up over dinner/drinks. I will return to this restaurant!"

"I love Lolas. Great salsa, great sangria and usually great tacos. It seems they just changed te taco menu and all of my favorites have changed!!! No more shrimp tacos! Horseradish on the beef tacos? Spicy sauce on the chicken?I was very disappointed this time around because my favorites are no longer available. Not everyone enjoys spicy tacos."

"Service was great...food very good....we had a birthday in our group and just mentioned to our waiter we'd like a candle put in her dessert...about 6 waiters came and sang happy birthday with a sombrerro for her...which was fun & celebratory...so much more than we'd expected or asked for...& later the manager took our photo and posted it on FB...for a lovely/fun memory."

"We really enjoyed Lola's and usually do but last Saturday was a bit beneath our previous visits. Although the food was wonderful and most of the staff was attentive out waiter was basically MIA for most of the night. We waited almost 10 minutes to find him to ask for our check. We also had never dined so late on a Saturday night and didn't realize it'd be more of a bar scene than restaurant. The lights were too low and the acoustics with music and other patrons made it difficult to hear one another. We will just have to remember to dine earlier in the evenings unless we do want that type of bar scene."

"Good food, and a great deal during restaurant week. Nothing the four of us ordered was "amazing", but the food was good and it's a nice place with a good bar.

We would go back at times they are offering promotions (like restaurant week or other discounts) and we would go back for drinks and/or with a large group )they have a nice area in the back for a group of 10-20). However, the food alone would not bring us back -- nothing was wrong, but there was nothing creative/amazing about the food."

"Pretty solid food; enjoy the burrito platters (generally get 2 meals out of them).

Wanted to touch in service... We recieved a 25 dollar gift card from the restaurant in the mail for some reason (guessing to drive more customer demand). When we got to the restaurant we were just caught waiting for everything! Drinks, chips. and especially the meal. The kicker is that the coupon had an automatic 20% tip to it. Pretty sketchy if you ask me. As someone who normally does takeout only from Lola, I never j de a out their poor service. If we go back, will probably go for takeout only. Manager of the restaurant really needs to get his wait staff in order."
