"I went with a friend for a nice dinner recently. We ordered several small plates. The food was okay, however when we made a few comments, our lovely waitress brought out another for us to try. In the end she didn't charge us for several as a token of customer service. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer zservice and friendliness kf the staff. I would return for this a,one, let alone the good food. This is a nice gem in our neighborhood."

"It was Monday night so it was an "off" day. The outside corner table was just "ok". It was a tight fit and very noisy (traffic). The best part of dinner was the appetizer. The mussels were good and we did get a complimentary butterscotch pudding dessert. We were celebrating 2 birthdays. The waiter did make a billing mistake (charged for an extra salad) which always leaves a bad impression. It was empty so they should have seated us at their better tables. It was just okay so I was disappointed. No reply is necessary."

"Our dinner on March 29=disaster. Arriving at 5:30 we were promptly seated, as requested, outside. But, it was too cold and damp so we moved inside but were warned that we'd have to leave our table by 7:15. No problem. The problem was the service. We were immediately treated to a "rush job" by an incompetent server. Not one order was served correctly. The table next to us was certainly not rushed--filled with Fairbanks regulars (we knew everyone), they drank and drank and got louder and louder. Our server was rude, distracted (he only had eyes for the table with the Housewives of RSF and the Househusbands of the golf set) and we were treated like chopped liver. We left by 6:15--well shy of the 7:15 warning. The food was mediocre and $+. Done"

"I had a wonderful experience. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend goat cheese and mission fig bruschetta and gnocchi, which was like cotton candy!"

"The lamb chops were outstanding and reasonably priced. My wife got the short ribs and it was nothing to brag about, tasted like fresh out of a crock pot, could have made that at home. However, I did get to see the best SF 49ers QB ever, Joe Montana was there."

"My boss was staying at the Rancho Valencia Resort and they happened to stumble upon this little neighborhood gem. My partner and I were there on a Saturday night at 8:30 and the place was packed. The energy was terrific and the food was exceptional. Our waiter Ian was one of the best we have had in a long time. Very personal and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. They have a great wine list as well as a full bar. The menu is very creative with several sections that include farm to table ingredients which we're incredible. Try the small plates as they are great for sharing and this way you can have a little of everything. Their flatbread is incredible and the evening should be topped of with their butterscotch Budino."

"Dolce Pane is a fantastic neighborhood gem. The food is so good. I had the lamb chops with Chino's vegetables and both were so fresh and had a light wonderful sauce. The scene is hopping. The meat and cheese platter is one my favorites also. And of course the butterscotch pudding for dessert is amazing and the best in town."
