"Never rushed, always warmly greeted, Bridgeman's never disappoints. The food is consistently great with old standards and exciting specials. You could eat here every day and never get bored. While the food is always a delight, the service is what puts it above and beyond. Friendly, attentive staff who can read a table and provide the appropriate amount of attention proved the art of great service is not lost! Thanks Bridgeman's!"

"Have eaten here several times over past few months for one reason - it keeps me coming back! From the minute you're greeted, you know you're going to be treated well. Great drinks, great food, excellent staff, views.... What more could you ask for! The two floors of this restaurant right across from the ocean are beautifully decorated and set the tone for an enjoyable, relaxing dinner. You're not rushed here as you are in so many Boston restaurants. It's well worth getting out of the city for this fabulous restaurant .
The specials are always intriguing. Starting with appies right down to the final cappuccino, the overall experience at Bridgemans will leave you with a smile one your face! Oh, and they serve lunch as well!! AMAZING!!!"

"The four of us all really enjoyed our dinners last Saturday. The high points were the mushroom soup, veal piccata, and scrod. The menu is varied and everything is top quality and well prepared. There is a good choice of wines. My wife and I split the berries with lemoncello zabaglione for dessert. It was so good that It will keep us coming back for more. The service was excellent. We are already planning our next dinner at Bridgeman's."

"You can never beat Bridgeman's for coming up with something special for a holiday. I had a wonderful meal that included lobster ravioli, shrimp, scallops and spinach topped with a wonderful lobster sauce. I loved every minute. My mother had one of their regular items from the menu and loved it as well. She had the haddock (I seem to remember Porcine as part of the name)."

"Wonderful in every aspect except the smell of the restaurant. Food was fabulous, service was excellent, place is pretty, nice view but the smell of old grease was brutal. So much so, that I left with a headache and had to air out my coat. It's not fair to give a "bad" review though, since everything else was so spectacular. I usually don't complain, but I think they should know this so that others won't experience this. I hope to return there soon, so maybe it was just a one time event (I hope)."

"Have been here many times before, but I didn't find this trip they were up to their norm. The waitress was nice & knowledgable but the food just didn't make the mark. To start they sat us next to the ladies room and the direct path between the kitchen and the dishroom, which didn't help. The meat in the lobster chowder was tough and the celery was overpowering and hard. I had the shrimp & scallops pasta special, the sauce was like tomato soup."

"Arrived on time with reservation, host,who offered no option to sit upstairs or downstairs,led us to a corner table upstairs. Dining area was cold, bread served was cold as well. Lobster bologonese appetizer involved a search for the lobster bits; entree of shrimp and scallops in pesto was an unusual coloration and consistency for the pesto, and shrimp had the telltale flavor of iodine usually attributed to a foreign source of shrimp. Lobster ravioli was OK; generally speaking, poor ambiance, over priced and moderately accepatble food stuffs. No plan to return."

"It was a special occasion for our party of 4. Our hostess/owner sat us upstairs at a perfect table with a view. Our waiter was attentive and made us feel welcome and did not rush us.When the music came on and was a little loud for dinner music I was afraid it would make it hard for our party to talk but before we knew it they had adjusted it. The menu wasa good mix especially for our two daughters 17 & 23yrs. we all enjoyed our dinners with one taking home her leftovers to be consumed for lunch the next day. It was a very enjoyable experience and will will definately be back."

"We ended up at Bridgeman's a bit by accident, but what a surprise! The food was excellent. My wife's meal especially was unbelievable - i think it was a sirloin stuffed with gorganzola and spinach or something like that. My wife described it as one of the 5 best meals she has ever had. "This is a VERY GOOD place to eat, however, it is loud for "cloth" table cloths tables, casual dining, romantic dinner. I had to talk very load to the person I was with. The food was GREAT, the service could have been better, it was not bad, but we noticed other waiters were doing a much better job than ours. Oh, and I still had to wait 15 minutes even though I had a reservation and seeing open tables. Do not let this review deter you from going!!"

"I was very disappointed. I had ordered a crabmeat stuffed sole for dinner. I tasted the stuffing & it was delicious but the fish tasted like someone dropped the salt shaker on it. I tried two more bites & the same thing. I wanted this dish so asked the waiter if he could just replace it. He came back & said that the chef said it would come the same way & perhaps it was the stuffing. It wasn't the stuffing - it was the fish & I was extremely disappointed that this is the attitude of a "fine" restaurant chef. If your customer has a legitimate complaint, make sure you at least try to make them happy. He could have tasted the stuffing (I'm sure it isn't make to order) and know it was fine!"

"Celebrated 10 year anniversary and we didn't sit at the table we reserved. Waitress was very nice and knowledgable of the specials. Calamari very bland, salad was good. We had the special blur crab ravioli which the ravioli was chewy and could've used more seasoning in the sauce. Tiramisu was dry. Overall very disappointed and won't be going back."

"Our waiter was superb--knowledgeable, unobtrusively attentive, and appropriately cordial. The salads, entrees, desserts, and espressos were all fine. The pan-fried oysters in panko breadcrumbs were OK--tasty but hid the oysters. I guess I'm someone who prefers raw oysters on the halfshell. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you."

"This is the third time I have eaten at Bridgeman's, and I was once again very pleased with my experienced. Although normally the service is a little better, it was still not bad service and it was Valentines' Day weekend, so I'm sure everyone was very busy so I have no real complaints. I ordered the swordfish steak over lobster risotto and it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend decided to be adventurous and order lamb which neither of us have ever had before. The lamb in my opinion was cooked perfectly and was beautifully presented. That was not a surprise though since Bridgeman's always presents their dishes wonderfully. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic night out."

"We have been enjoying Bridgeman's for many years. What Bridgeman's has going for a restaurant is CONSISTENCY!!!! We have dined at Bridgeman's numerous times and have always expeienced excellent food and professional and friendly service. Their menu offers a good selection but the chef offers creative and tasty specials. Great restaurant have reservations for tomorrow."

"dn't been back to Bridgeman's for awhile so last night we went with some friends and a groupon and had a great time. Very nice dining room, perfect professional service and great accoustics - even when seated with people at the next table. I had the Brodetto de Pesce and it was a superb delight. I tried my wife's Pumpkin Ravioli and it was very good. Loved that they included oranges in with the roasted beet salad appetizer. Sometimes things really are just perfect!"

"Thought my stuffed sole was dull and over priced. $30 for a piece of sole stuffed and placed on a bed of white rice. No veggie would it kill them to put some broccoli or aspargus on a plate. Clams casino were great, service was good. But for the price of the entrees I expected much better."

"I have been to Bridgeman's multiple times and I have yet to be disappointed. I am a pretty basic eater so I can only comment on the Chicken Parm which is amazing. One of the best that I have had. There is always way to much for one person to eat so I always end up taking at least half of it home. My wife and in-laws also love the food as well and have also said that the restaurant has a very good wine list. The restaurant is a little slow earlier on (we dined at 6:30) but seemed to pick up around 7:30 later. Will keep going back."

"The food was delicious and the service was great! It was a little on the expensive side, but worth every dime. I ordered the half order of the shrimp scampi which had way too much sauce on it and I felt like I was eating soup. My husbands meal was the pork special, which he said was great. Our desserts were delicious (creme boulee and cheesecake) as well as my beet salad. I would recommend this place, but just not the shrimp scampi."
