"The food was pretty good, although it didn't blow my socks off. However, the service was fantastic. Between the server and the bus staff, my water glass was always full and plenty of bread. Just little things that made the evening enjoyable."

"My husband and I loved our dinner at Stage. I hadn't been here since it first opened, but I'm glad we came back. Service was impeccable. Except for one thing: the family sitting next to us, who arrived after us, got their dinners before we did. I hope it wasn't because the dad was a local "celebrity," but our server and manager both stopped by and apologized for the delay and assured us our meals were on their way out. My husband started with the mushroom soup and I had the diver scallop sashimi. Both fantastic! I had the wasabi and furikake crusted ahi, seared to perfection, with a succotash and a buttery sauce, and hubby had the braised short rib, which he just devoured. No dessert that night, but thanks Chef De Guzman and staff!"

"As always, we enjoyed the monthly Ovation Dinner at Stage. The food was impeccable, with generous portions & beautiful plating. Service is unparalleled here, with all of the waitstaff helping each other out to provide guests with the best dining experience. Sky incorporated excellent wine pairings & made insightful yet not intrusive presentations on the drinks. Another wonderful evening!"

"Stage was wonderful from the moment we walked in. Great decor - sophisticated, fun, interesting.
Food was fabulous. I had Cabernet Braised Beef Short Rib. Beautifully presented - tastefully delicious. The desserts (lilikoi creamsicle, milk chocolate panne cotta) were amazing.
Service was also perfect.

"Very attentive staff. My table ordered the four course tasting menu and everything tasted excellent. "As usual, Stage did not disappoint. We always look forward to their Wine Ovation Dinners, and appreciate the fact that dinner is offered with or without pairings to appeal to all diners. Much consideration is put into the production, from food quality, plating, private seating, and timing guests' arrival. For a relatively reasonable price, we can have an enjoyable date night."

"Over the years, the quality of the experience at Stage has been rocky. They seem to be in a nice groove right now and I have enjoyed several fun dinners there lately. The menu is interesting enough and the food is good, if a bit expensive when compared to similar stuff on the mainland - but that's Hawaii for you. The service is friendly, although at times the wait staff needs a wee nudge to fill a glass, etc. Plan on taking a doggie bag home so you can have the coffee flan w/ coconut ice cream for dessert (so good!)."
