"Loved all the small tapas plates. The squid was absolutely delicious and loved the risotto...very rich and yummy. The kale salad was light and had an excellent dressing. The hamachi was good but the portion was very small. Looking forward to trying some other dishes when we return!"

"I didn't have a favorable dinner experience at Juliette's just a week ago. I shared my comments and thought it would be more time before I returned. My lunch guest wanted to have lunch there yesterday. As I shared previously - I enjoyed the food and yesterday's lunch was very good. The noted improvement was the service - we sat immediately (had Open Table reservations) and was warmly greeted by Amber. She is a gem and shoulld be incorporated on to the dinner team. She smiled and made my guest and myself feel special. She kept our drinks filled and made sure that we had her attention, though she didn't interupt any conversation.
Draft Amber for dinner!!"

"Third time to restaurant - each time the food was very good, but the various levels of service is no where close to snuff. The most recent expeience included a 7:15 reservation - although there were open tables, we didn't get seated for another 30 minutes and our table was one of the open tables. We ordered a bottle of wine while we waited - again that took 20 minutes to get. Lastly, when we sat down, we ordered small plates to start - they didn't arrive for at least 30 minutes.
I like their food, but I think I will be making a pass for the interim until I hear that their service is a bit more customer friendly...."

"Had dinner at Juliette's a month ago and had a great time, great food, service and wine. For lunch, not so good. Over 45 minutes to get our food after ordering and waitress apologized, then charge for a refill of our drinks."

"Creative and delicious menu, ultra-fresh ingredients, and a friendly, professional and attentive staff. Have always had a table ready for our reservation, and at lunch the service is friendly and efficient. Only slight negative is the level of noise, which seems to reverberate off the ceiling, floor and walls, But hey, that's due to the restaurant's well-deserved popularity."

"I tried to hanger steak this time and it was excellent. Could really taste some unique flavor profiles here. This was our second time to the restaurant And this experience sealed us going back. I just wish the corkage was at $10 instead of $15."

"Took a client to lunch there. The interior is very nice, easy to get to, food very good, however, it is very noisy. I understand that they are going to be addressing that soon as they had baloons on the ceiling to help muffle the noise. Not sure they did any good. I do hope they address this as it would be a very nice dinner place if it was a little quieter."

"Liked the look of the restaurant, but we were expecting more of a quiet restaurant to enjoy different dishes in... We had reservations for 6:00... Was for a birthday, no special treatment . The place got really crowded, the waitress was very nice, however , no mention of the birthday, no extras... A bit of a disappointment ... Just average for us... With so many restaurants to choose from.... Nice to see them busy, just could have used a little quieter place."

"We selected this restaurant for the menu, price and location. We made our reservation through Open Table and informed them this was for our 15 year old's birthday. We asked for a great table, superior service and a birthday surprise. The table we were given was loud (in fact it was so loud I couldn't hear the waiter one chair away). The service was OK and there was no birthday surprise even after we mentioned it to the waiter. That has never happened in my entire life of dining. Even when we don't order dessert, the restaurant usually brings one for the birthday boy/girl. We spent $151 too. The food was really good...but the noise really ruined any semblance of a private conversation without yelling."

"Juliette has wonderful food and the service is great. The problem is it is the LOUDEST restaurant we have ever been in! The first time we went we could barely hear each other speak. But the food was so good we decided to give it another try. We will not be back. The noise is unbearable. Too bad...if they fixed the noise level we would go often."

"Juliette is a nice gourmet restaurant. I went there with my girl friend for a night-out. We ordered small plates to share. We kale salad which was too small and not special (I can make it at home), and for a little salad, the price was to high. We had risotto. It was interesting, but again overrpriced. We also had a scallops, which was a simple plate, nothing was so outstanding. However, the two deserts we ordered were very good, and different (not something I can make it at home). I would go there just for the deserts. Overall, it's an OK gastropub with a bit overpriced. I would probably give it one more chance to try different plates."

"We shared the hamachi appetizer & grilled squid. Both were delicious but I preferred the squid. It was tender and seasoned very well. For entrees we had the pork shank and lamb tenderloin. Both were excellent. The pork was falling off the bone tender. The lamb was cooked perfectly and so succulent. Our server was Izzy & he was the best! He made some good suggestions & was friendly & efficient. I am looking forward to going back and trying more things on the menu."

"Coming to Juliette is always a treat. Now its so popular and getting a reservation can be dificult at the last minute, but worth it to try~. Do not miss the Faro, this simple dish makes you want more with each bite. The Scallops were perfectly cooked, caramelized brown on the top, yet moist and tasting with the accompanying sauce. Try everything!"

"I stumbled upon Juliette by accident and I'm so glad I did. The service is outstanding, friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about their menu and their food. I have had 3 different lunch options on my trips and each one was a standout. The chicken salad, the swordfish sandwich and the turkey sandwich were all delicious. But the best part is dessert. They have different options and I would recommend any one of them. Unusual, fresh and delicious. That's Juliette. Go there."

"I like the atmosphere at juliette but the food needs a bit of help - my nicoise salade needed the traditional olives and capers (which were missing) to give it some "kick" and the dressing was very acidic - with just a little bit of work it would be a great salad as it was beautifully presented"

"My husband and I went to Juliette on Valentine's Day. It was a price fixed menu which in the end was delicious. The food is great and does not disappoint. However, the service was TERRIBLE. And I mean awful. Our waiter repeatedly delivered our order to the wrong table and more than once brought us the wrong drink. This was happening at other tables around us too so it became a kind of joke how completely incompetent the waitstaff was. In the end we left before our dessert course as we could not stand it any more. They need to do something about the service or we will never be back. Too many options for good food around to put up with incompetent service."

"We did 4 starters for lunch and they were exceptional, creative, well-conceived, not skimpy, and made us feel like we were eating at a top restaurant in Spain or Italy. We are anxious to try dinner and entrees. The main problem is that the restaurant is noisy, not just in a way were people are having a fun time (they are) but we both immediately commented that there is an unpleasant sharpness to the acoustics."

"Valentine's Day. Waiter nice but distracted. We had a reasonably priced 4 course prix fixe menu. For starter we ordered pork but ended up with quail. Quail was so spectacularly delicious, we forgave him. 2nd course, I had the soup - equally delicious and my friend had salad, also a winner. 3rd course, lamb for me and beef for my friend. Both excellent and the portions enough to take some home. Dessert - the chocolate was one of the best desserts I have ever had. Unfortunately accompanied by a small scoop of olive oil vanilla ice cream - skip this. Pairing of wines was offered - reasonable price and very nice wines. A winner and we are returning for dinner this week."

"The food was good tasting with good flavors and well presented. But the major issue for us was the small dish selection as well as the large plate choices were over priced. With only two small plates and one large and a $27 bottle wine our tab came to over $100. Based on a causal atmosphere and wine bar feel the priced were too inflated. The adjoining wine store allowedfor an excellent selection of wines and cost in the restaurant for the wines was well priced with only $5 added to the retail price for dining."

"Tucked away in Newport Beach strip mall, Juliette is a gastronomic treat. Following a recent trend in dining, Juliette offers an incredible selection of small plates, including small portions of several entrees. While the menu varies depending on seasonal offerings, order the duck confit gnocchi and pork cheeks if they are available. Juliette doubles as a wine bar and offers 3 different options for several of its wines--3oz taste, 6oz glass or full bottle--making it easy to enjoy a wine pairing with each entree. Try to save room for dessert as well. The brown butter ice cream in the profiteroles is an inspired creation. Prices are a bit on the high side but, considering the neighborhood, not overly excessive."

"We wanted to try this place out, so we went for an office birthday lunch for a coworker. The food was great overall, but the service was horrible. We were generously greeted at the door, but the table service was like having teenagers around who didn't really want to work and with BLUE flaking fingernail polish, seriously! Then the DOCTOR who we work for ordered a salad from the lunch menu. He asked where is the goat cheese, she leaned over his salad and told him to look really close and he could see the "little crumbles".... then was charged extra for his request for more. If you don't know the menu, don't bother to leave it up the the servers, they would rather huddle by the kitchen and talk!!! We will NOT be back."
