II Samuels provides a dining experience of culinary delights and exquisite service, within a welcoming and intimate atmosphere. It is the culmination of inventive cuisine combinations, customer satisfaction, and over 30 years of restaurant and catering experience. If you are looking for a casual lunch experience or an evening of elegant fine dining, II Samuels is the place to go.
Our evening menu changes weekly and is kept relatively small for the purpose of innovation and simplicity. We offer small and large portions of most entrées. All menu items are offered with suggested wine pairings from our wine cellar, which contains over 100 varietals

"The food at II Samuels was amazing and at a very reasonable price too. The seafood farfalle pasta was the best pasta I have ever ate in my life. The service was fantastic we were waited on hand and foot and we had refills on our drink very fast service. This would be a place I would recommend to anybody for a special occasion."

"We loved the food! Nice, modest-sized restaurant with a relaxed feel. Modern, simple decor and white tablecloths, which give an upscale feeling. We are very particular about food and fine dining, and this restaurant was a real gem. We loved the salad with arugula, kiwi, and pistachios. I had pesto-coated salmon and my husband had the lamb loin, both of which were cooked perfectly, and both of which we enjoyed. The accompanying sides were delicious also. This was our first visit to Spartanburg, and we were pleasantly surprised by II Samuels. We would definitely return if we're ever back in the area."

"Took my husband (a self-proclaimed food-snob!) here for his birthday celebration. I let them know it was a special evening, and they didn't disappoint. We were seated in the "wine cellar" - a glass walled room with a table for two. If you request this table, be aware that #1 - it is right next to the bar, which can be quite noisy (we solved that problem by closing the door); and #2 - whenever anyone else in the restaurant orders a bottle of wine, someone is going to come in to get it from the bins. But it still was a lovely, romantic spot. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend!"

"Was very pleased. I made my wife very happy. Went on a Friday evening around 7 and it was not crowded. They put us in glass covered wine cellar booth (thinking it was a special occation because I made reservations and ordered flowers to be at the table)

"I found this restaurant on the CVB website. It's not usually my first go to place for dinning but after reviewing the restaurant's site and other sites, I decided to go. The food was delicious and the presentation clean and lovely. I had an excellent server, who really took care of me. I would recommend that anyone who loves food, go and go soon!"

"Was not pleased. Two of us had the special and they were both cold and the waitress was rude when I told her, because I ate it. She never stopped by to check in. The reason I ate it is because I was hungry and didnt want to wait. She hardly came to our table. The manager came to our table. I said we dont want anything just wanted to bring it to your attention, FYI. He didnt charge us for the wine. The waitress was so mad she never came back to our table. Very professional."

"Had fantastic Valentine's Day dinner with my wife at II Samuels. They seated us in the wine room, which was very private and more romantic. Dinner was an 8 course chef's tasting, and everything was very flavorful, fresh, and tasty. We've had dinner there before, and it's always been great. Highly recommended."

"I brought my parents to this restaurant a couple of years ago, and now it's the only restaurant they want to go to for special occasions! The food is excellent, but what makes this restaurant unexpectedly appealing is the atmosphere. You'd never think it possible from the way the outside appears, but the ambience is wonderful...it's easy to have a private dining experience, partly because of the carefully chosen musicians that play background music , and partly because the acoustics are such that you can have a conversation in normal voice yet not be forced to listen to the neighboring tables' conversation. We love this restaurant, and highly recommend it for a special dining experience! We always leave feeling completely satisfied."

"Second experience and not as good as the first. At 8:00 we were advised that they were out of three of their entrees, and had only one veal entree left. Upon giving our order to our server we were then advised that they were out of the vegetable of the day, asparagus, and were substituting haricot vert. When our entrees arrived only one out of the three entrees had any green beans, four 1/2 pieces to be exact, and the other two had a couple of very thin small onion slices that accompanied the polenta with no green beans whatsoever. Fourth person in our group advised of a medical intolerance to pepper. Was advised that there was only three items on the menu they could serve without pepper."
