"I could have gone to the local pizza joint and gotten better service and food.
We arrived on time. Empty tables everywhere. Manager complains to me that e eryone shows up at one time.
This shouldn't be a surprise. They are reservations! He has us standing for 10 minutes while he sorts out his plan.
We wait 20 minutes for waiter who wants to take our order but has not given us a menu.

We wanted salad before appetizer but waiter told us that's not how he does it.
Waiters running all over. If you asked for help from some one othe than our phantom order taker, "it was not their job". That's hospitality for you !

It was a shame. Food was plentiful but bland. We did not finish any of it. No one asked why."

"We celebrated my parents 50th anniversary. Great service, great food. Our waiter was great! Took the kids into the kitchen to pick out their desserts! They loved it! Highly recommend Matteo's of Roslyn!"

"Poor service. They did not have appetizer or prosecco we ordered. Waiter would disappear before answering our questions or taking our order. Food was not good. Soggy salad. Grey colored rubbery veal. Pasta and bread were the best part. Napoleon for dessert also good, though huge. Folks at other tables were yelling loud profanities. Music was wierd. We will not return."

"If Matteo's is going to participate in Open Table, it should learn to honor reservation times instead of making you wait 40 minutes after your scheduled time to be seated. Shades of the old days when it didn't take reservations at all.
The food however, as alaways, super."

"The food was served with pride. The waiters were enthusiastic about what they were serving. The signature dishes, the zucchini linguini, the fried Oreos were both worth going back to this high spirited restaurant."

"Had 8pm reservations to celebrate a birthday and we were not seated till almost 9!! It was as TERRIBLE customer service as you can get!! When we were eventually seated after complaining it looked like they just dragged a table right in front of the kitchen just to shut us up. The table was not fully set, there were not enough chairs for our whole party and it was so hot you could barely breathe! We got up and left prior to ordering!!! I am extremely disappointed because I had heard the food was good!! Myself and the other members of my party will NEVER go back!!!"

"I was very disappointed with the food and ambience. They are currently renovating so the atmosphere is being upgraded and is not worth discussion. The food, however, needs major improvement. This is a prime example of quantity without quality. Even the dessert, which is claimed as the "legendary napoleon" is sub par - just pieces of flakey pastry covered in whipped cream. Despite the unremarkable food, the service was good. The waiters were friendly and attentive. I do not plan on returning."
