"It was my first experience at L'Aromate. I received a very warm welcome and our table was ready. The service was lovely as was the food. If you make a reservation, specify a window seat - it adds to the experience. If you have trouble finding parking they valet at $16."

"When the server picked up our plates and asked us if we were satisfied with our food, we told her we found the food bland. She replied by telling us that if we had asked her, she would have told us that the two main dishes we choose weren't that good and that they had recently changed chef. That restaurant is living on his reputation and no longer on the great food they used to serve."

"This place has great potential. They offer a fabulous and varied menu, however, the service really falls short and left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I would not go back due to the price you pay for such low quality service. The waitress was very friendly but had extremely poor judgement. She brought my two friend's plates and left me waiting for mine for about 10 minutes. Our mimosas were $25 per glass and were definitely not worth it. Food was great but the service was horrible."

"Très belle adresse. L'ambiance est magique et le dédor, rêveur. On s'y sent bien, invités prestigieux! Le choix et les prix du menu a la carte sont tresbon. La presentation des plats est soignee. Seulement quelques petites erreurs au niveau du service, professionnel mais occupé sur trop de choses en meme temps. Commande de breuvages, offre de sel et ketchup, etc. Mais dans l'ensemble, on adore l'experience et on la refait! On conseille aussi ce resto a nos clients (hotel a proximité)."

"The food was very good but the slow service took away from our enjoyment of our brunch there last Sunday. It took an hour to be served our food order (omelelettes and egg benedict). This is after waiting 20 minutes for our table despite having made a reservation. The restaurant has very small coffee cups and my husband had to ask repeatedly for his cup to be refilled. I would recommend l'Aromate (this was our fourth visit) for the food but would caution prospective diners about the service and the capacity of the kitchen to prepare food in a timely way when the restaurant is full."

"Despite the great atmospere the food did not live up to our expectatioons. I had a rather boring starter salad followed by a passable salmon. My dining companion had the scallop starter comprising of two scallops for $20.00 - outrageous! He had a main course of Duck Confit Fettucini which was on the heavy side! We finished with a so called "revisited" sugar pie at an exorbitant cost of $20.00 which was visually unattractive. Would have much preferred a traditional sugar pie! Overall disappointing. Having said all this, the wait staff was very good."

"Well, as usual, the food was excellent. The wait was a little long but once you get your meal, you quickly forget and forgive the few minutes you had to wait to get it. The ambiance, the decoration and scenery makes it one of the most romantic place, in my book, to bring the one you love to. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat, without a doubt."

"We were visiting montreal from Toronto and asked that our waitress help us to practice our French. Se happily obliged. We started with a delicious amuse bouche of duck. We ordered the duck linguine and multigrain risotto as appetizers. Beautiful presentation and taste! We split the tarts au sucre dessert which was excellent. The service was impeccable. Would highly recommend."
