"Mozza Mia consistently delivers a "good" experience. The fresh cheese is the #1 hit - can't miss - must have and just do the sampler because its fun to try each kind. They have some fun drinks and a decent wine list. I've consistently had good service here and the ambiance is pretty casual for an easy evening out. They offer a gluten-free pizza crust (which for some reason they don't specify on the menu???) which I'm quite certain is Udi's - so its wonderful to have a variety of options, but certainly not the best gluten-free pizza I've had. The rest of my group had similar feedback about "fine, not fabulous" food options. The one thing they kept bringing up though was how good that cheese was!"

"I met a friend for lunch the other day at Mozza Mia in Edina. Not like to eat heavy pasta or pizza for lunch, I found a really nice salad on their menu that had fire roasted chicken, cherries, hazelnuts and gorgonzola cheese on it. It was delicious and very filling. My friend had fire roasted pizza which she said was good as well. We got there around noon and there were hardly any patrons there. Almost had the whole restaurant to our selves! Would recommend."

"I would have given them 5 stars except that I had no idea they would close at 10:00 on a Friday night. I went here with my date and our night was going awesome until 9:45 when we hadn't gotten our pizza yet and the waitress came over to inform us they close at 10. They were nice but we felt really rushed after that. We sat there and ate one peice of pizza and then left. Why close at 10 on a Friday night? It put a damper on what was otherwise a perfect date. We moved on to the next place that was open and continued our lovely evening.
The fig and prischutto pizza was good, maybe a little overkill on the blue cheese but still good. The mozza sampler was delicious. Carol (aka. "Gorgeous") was a great server too."

"Food seems pricey (esp salads). The mozzarella sampler plate is excellent, server was willing to bring extra bread for no charge. But the other food items were not memorable and the chicken sandwich was rated "blah". Prices were high for what we got even considering this is Edina. The server was attentive and accommodating, as well as friendly."

"A group of us shared 3 pizzas and the Heirloom Tomato Bruschetta. For Pizza, we had a Meat-a-balla, a Gamberi, and an Asparagi. The meatball pizza was a little more traditional, but the red sauce had great flavor. The Gamberi is a shrimp pizza on pesto with sun dried tomatoes. It was very flavorful and had a litte kick. the Asparagi was awsome. Asparagus and Chicken on a nice white sauce. We were happy with all three of them. I love mushrooms on pizza and could easily have added mushrooms to any of the three, but others in my group don't like them."

"Order the Sampler. Fresh, homemade cheese deliciously paired with crisp toast and fruits... this dish is what the restaurant is all about. But don't stop there. My son couldn't make up his mind between the custom wood fired pizzas or the flavorful ravioli or, or, or... just thinking about the menu makes me hungry again.
The service was gracious and quick, and when asked our waiter enthusiastically described the different types of cheese and provided tips on the best combinations.

"I would recommend this restaurant except for the reception. This was our second time visiting and again, with a different hostess, I felt we were less than important. We arrived on time and were told we would be seated in a few minutes and then someone who walked in the door was mistaken as us and shown to our table. --We were a bit stunned, and when we approached the hostess, she indicated that it was okay because they had another table opening up. No apology given. We understand when things are busy and mix ups can happen, although this was a first, but we do expect some sort of apology. It took a bit to relax after that. --all in all, the food was good and our server was quite good; we didn't take it out on her.-Still debating returning."

"I've been here a few times and always had a good experience. Most recently we went during a blizzard and thought no one would be there, but ti was surprisingly crowded - not a bad thing as we were seated right away but it did slow down the service. The small Caesar was fine but not special. the meatball appetizer was nice to share with at least one person, or it makes a meal - tasty and spicy. I ordered the margherita pizza and added mushrooms, and that was really good. Another time I was there with a big party, and that was fun, easy to share pizzas and the bill, and a great environment for a party of 8-10 and even 12."

"We've had great food and service at Mozza Mia before, but this time we had bad service. My date, a vegetarian, ordered the fried goat cheese salad without pancetta. When it came, the cubed pancetta and cubed pears covered in balsamic looked the same, and she took a big bite of meat without knowing it. She was very upset. The server didn't handle it very well. Didn't immediately replace the salad, didn't comp the salad, didn't take away the plate that had meat on it, didn't replace the silverware, etc. This stuff is important to vegetarians. At the end of the night, we couldn't find her to pay our bill, so we had to flag someone else down."

"This was our first time dining at Mozza Mia and from the greeting at the door we were treated with nothing but awesome and rare to find service!! Your restaurant was amazingly energetic and had such great charm. While our mouths watered reading the menu, starting with the wine list, We were greeted by the most outgoing, vibrant waitress Carol. Not only was she incredibly friendly she knew the menu top to bottom giving us excellent recommendations. We enjoyed every bite of food and can not wait to return to try another delicious wine, happily order the mozzarella sampler again and wait anxiously to order a whole new combination of toppings on the BEST crust in Minnesota!"

"We absolutely love the deep dish pizza! We order a large and end up with enough to take home for one more meal. We also love all the creative "deals" they have to offer--ten wines for $ 10 dollars, $40 for dinner, wine and movie tickets for two to the Edina Theatre, etc..."

"We brought a group of 6 in. We did make a reservation and we were seated right away. It did take a couple of minutes for the server to arrive, however, they were busy. The server was fantastic! She was very knowledgable about the menu and had a great personality. She recommended the Mozzarella tasting. We took her suggestion and it was the best part of the meal!"

"This was my first visit to Mozza Mia, but it will not be my last.
Our server was very nice, and knowledgeable about the the menu items, but she just had too many tables. It look a long time to place our order.
The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable.
I observed several families with small children at the restaurant, who seemed to be having an enjoyable time. One set of pre-schoolers were occupied with some pizza dough (in lieu of playdough), while they waited for their dinner."

"Our reservation worked out fine - got right in a comfortable booth for 3. Perfect.
There was not anything on the menu that appealed to me. I ordered baked pasta and the sausage was very gristly. The pasta itself was fine, just not the other ingredients.
My husband and our son chose pizzas and didn't finish them - they weren't good...flimsy crust, hard to eat, our son said his had too many peppers.

"Good energy and great mozzarella. Pasta was overcooked and bolognese had no distinct flavor. For an Italian wood oven pizza, I expected something more rustic with a crisp crust and a little less overkill on the toppings. Glass and a half wine is a good value."

"Their deep dish pizza is the best I have eaten. The mozzarella was deliciously thick and chewy on a crust which though thick was crunchy. The sauce was tangy and full of large tomato pieces. Large chunks of sausage just made this pizza wonderful. This is my new favorite place for deep dish pizza."

"We were a party of 20 and overall they did a fair enough job, but one of our partygoers had to wait over an hour for their order because it got lost. They bought them an app and comped their meals so ultimately, it worked out OK. Bit of a bill snafu at the end. THe food was phenomenal."

"Another good meal at Mozza Mia. The restaurant feels fairly loud but I was not struggling to hear my dinner companions and no one had to shout to be heard even during its most energetic periods. Good place; definitely will be going back."
