The menu offers a wide selection of pastas, carne, pollo vitello and pesce. Notable dishes include Eight Finger Cavetelli, Prime Steak Sciliano, Chicken alla Gilardi, Parmigiana Crusted Salmon and Marinated Skirt Steak with Crispy Vidalia Onions.
Phil Gilardi, Jr. along with his uncle, Dan Sullivan, is proud to be carrying on the Gilardi tradition with Philly G's. The restaurant will be celebrating its 5 Year anniversary come this August. Philly is the fourth generation of Gilardi's to continue the family recipes of his great-grandmother, Sophie and grandmother, Angie Gilardi along with regional favorites of his own.
"Been to Philly G's many times and they never disappoint! The food is outstanding. The drinks well made! Their chef is fabulous and always has something delicious to taste. They did not hurry us through dinner even though they were very busy. We were one of the last tables still in the dining room because we were having such a good time. Great place to hang out in the bar also. We'll definitely be back soon."

"This is a charming layout with multiple rooms that give a certain intimacy to the experience. The Italian fare is good to excellent. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The entertainment in the bar area was fun and lively for the 30 plus group."

"Our visit to Philly G's. We were a party of 4 & no one was disappointed with the food. The service was more than prompt...actually a little too fast. From the front desk to the waitress, everyone was 'neighborhood' friendly.' Wanting something light, I ordered the evening's special which was a halibut & I was not disappointed. The fried calamari was light & crisp & not drowning in batter. The bolognaise sauce was "the best ever," one in our party commented. Notably, there was no food left on anyone's plate when we finished. If you are looking for 'haute' Italian cuisine, this isn't the place to go. If you want good basic Italian food, reasonably priced, Philly G's is a good choice. The upstairs décor could be updated."

"Haven't been here in years. So glad to have rediscovered this wonderful spot. The food more than delivers. Service was knowledgeable and friendly. Sat outside at lunchtime and celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary together. It contributed to our great day together."

"I had frequented this establishment many times and had excellent food and service. This evening must have been an off-night for everyone. Entered early evening and it was less than half full but the service was slow. Our meals were decent but have had much better."

"Philly G's offers a variety of delicious foods, including daily specials. Our food was delicious and our server was excellent. For dessert, ask about the fruit sorbets, served in the fruit's shell. It's generally quiet, so good for a romantic dinner. They also have a variety of rooms, including some that can give private areas for groups, so it's a great place for a group meal."

"I have been to Philly G's several times and the food and service has always been excellent but the service was not so much this time. Our waitress seemed rushed and overwhelmed and did not make us feel comfortable. She brought the wrong dish and when I politely let her know her first response was "that's what the chef gave me." First of all its the server's responsibility to make sure the correct dish is SERVED, not the chef's responsibility. Secondly, her first response should have been an apology followed by telling me it will be taken care of right away. She came back and told me it will be ready in 3 minutes when it actually took over 10 min. And then there was no discount on the bill for the mistake. We stilllovePhillyGsbutexpectedmore"

"We live near this restaurant and have frequented it over the years. This meal was a huge disappointment. The food was lukewarm at best and we were served a steak that was dry and completely overcooked. For $200 for a party of four, I'll spend my money elsewhere next time."

"well it is a popular place, there is no parking or valet service so you could walk a long way if you can find a place to park. Restaurant is very cut up, that is we were led to a small room with four tables, no acoustics, in my life of dining out i have never sat in a room where one table of four literally drowned out the other tables, These people were not talking they were screaming for over the hour and a half we had to endure at this place. We were customers that were elderly and had a hard enough time hearing people when it is quiet out. Would never return to this restaurant if I had to discuss business, lack of acoutics and other considferations make it impossible. Saw the bus boy more that I saw our waitress, long wait for check."

"A quaint room serving mediocre food with barely engaged service. Unimpressive. With the number of high-quality, high-service options in the area, Philly G's should take note and up their game. Will not be returning."

"This restaurant is right in our back door, but we never tried it until recently. A nice big bar with tables & big screen TVs, lively ambience and really welcoming management. We actually dined at Philly G's in the middle of the recent blizzard; the management and staff couldn't have been more welcoming or attentive. Very close to Marriott Lincolnshire for theatre-goers, and 10 minutes to Lincolnshire Regal cinemas for pre or post dining. We'll be back!"

"If you want to eat late and go to a place where you are not alone this is a good spot to go to in a suburban location. In many ways an old fashion italian restaurant brought up to date. The porch atmosphere which is very pleasant in nice weather is also a pleasant place to sit in cold weather. Relaxed and friendly. From the warm bread to the chilled salad to the piping hot main course all was very good and large enough portions to bring some home for another day."
