Bistro Mezzaluna has been a long time favorite of Fort Lauderdale's discerning local diners and snowbirds alike. Now we are proud to unvail our new magnificant freestanding location at 1821 SE 10th Ave. (just a few short blocks away). Under the watchful eyes of executive chef Anish Rana, we maintain our reputation for well-crafted bistro fare. "I went to this restaurant over the weekend (Mother's Day). The food was excellent and the setting was great. Everything was fine until we realized that one item which two people from my party ordered was not available, but later showed up on a neighboring table. From our observation, it seemed that the servers used preferencial treatment by saving specific items for certain guests/family."

The Chef has whipped up some new specials as of late that deserve additional applause. Oh my !!!!!!!!!!.......... "We were there for a business dinner, they accommodated a last minute party of 13. The food was great, biggest crab claws we'd ever seen w/ a great wine list to boot. Waiter was creepy - hugs and kisses to the women on the way out, not exactly the right way to end the night."

"We were celebrating our 35th anniversary. We had a quiet, romantic table in the corner that was just perfect!! Was was our server extraordinaire and was the epitome of an excellent server - personable, knew the menu and how to pair the entrees with an appropriate wine, sense of humor and caring, timely with food arrival, and just enough follow up to be attentive, but not hover over you. The food was absolutely excellent and fresh with a picture perfect presentation. Clarence was playing in the piano bar - song after song just for us to celebrate our anniversary although the bar was busy and full of people of all age groups. We cannot wait to go back again to repeat this beautiful experience."

"The food, the service and the atmosphere was everything we had hoped. Although the noise level was quite high, this experience is one that I will relish for a long time. I could not have asked for a better time. Our server represented the best of the best. I found this restaurant through opentable.com.... I will go back frequently. The best meal I have had in a long time... Cheers."

"Bar area quite nice - rest of restaurant a bit institutional looking for my taste.
Salads very large - I had the pear salad which was okay - the wedge looked terrific. Everyone had pasta and all the dishes were good. All in all pleasant, I myself would not run back, mostly because of ambiance. Probaably good for a large group or business meeting."

"Lunch at Mezzaluna was a great experience. The food was quite good and there are healthy choices on the menu as well as classic dishes. The dolphin with mango salso was very good--not overcooked and the salsa was the right degree of sweet vs. sour. Dessert (Valentine's Day!) was over the top: flourless chocolate cake. The portionvsize is just right for splitting, but too much for one person. It is a large restaurant with a lot of rooms. It could be good for parties or meetings. It also probably could be a little crowded or noisy but that was not the case when I visited. Service was good as were the wine recommendations."

"Monroe was a great Maiter D he allowed to go to the bar get some drinks while my table was prepared. The server he was outstanding very knowledgeable of the menu and specials!
